After visiting multiple liquor stores on the island I have found this one to be the best, it has a great selection of Wine, hard liquor and especially beer. Also the employees are customer service based and have a strong background of the products which helps if you are looking for that wine that will be great for your dinner, or beer for the upcoming cook out.

5.0 star rating 9/7/2016 What really sets this Liquor Store apart is the knowledge and service that comes from a passionate owner. I'll be the first to admit that I know little about wine. I wish I knew more! That's where owner Jason comes in. His passion and knowledge about wine, beer and spirits is exactly what I need to make the right choice - and not just fall back on the same old Sauv Blanc that I always get (it's Oyster Bay in case you were wondering). He'll be having you say "Yes way Rosé" or "I CAN drink tequila in this fancy margarita" in no time! And one more thing, we relied on Gold's Wine and Spirits for several large events we were hosting this summer - a Memorial Day cocktail party, Bachelorette party, Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding, and Funeral. For each event we called Gold's, explained the event and number of people - Jason made a calculated plan based on audience, our budget and even type of weather! On top of all of this, he even delivered to our venue! You can imagine what a relief it is to not have to worry about making these decisions under times of intense planning and stress. We will continue to call upon Gold's Wine and Spirits for all of our alcohol needs. Thank you Gold family!

Gold's Wine and Spirits surprised me from the get go. It is a rather unassuming storefront attached to stop and shop, but upon entering I was surprised by their great selection. Being a whiskey drinker I was surprised to see some fairly rare offerings on the shelf for retail pricing. It is too far away to be my regular store, but if I ever find myself in the area I will be stopping by again!

Great location! On the way to Newport, we always grab snacks at the Middletown Stop and Shop then walk over to Gold's for some adult beverages before heading to Newport to hit up the beach or have a picnic. The store is well stocked, has a wide variety, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Good competitive prices, and more. They are the only shop around that I know of with a rewards program, which gives you a store credit to help you try that top-shelf spirit you've had your eye on... They are also happy to special order any special wine or liquor with no additional fees, so you're not just limited to what's on the shelf. Always great and friendly customer service.
