Great place to try some local wines. The most helpful staff offer free tastings so go inside and try some delicious wines and buy yourself a bottle to enjoy on the porch overlooking the beautiful grounds. No worries if you forgot to bring snacks, they also sell various cheeses and crackers inside.

Fun place, especially if you participate in the harvest. The wine isn't too expensive and they don't charge for a wine tasting like a lot of other places which is really nice. Just a little disappointed they no longer participate as a venue. We wanted to get married here. But they still do small scale parties. Its a nice place to have a picnic and bring some lunch and buy a bottle of wine.

Beautiful and hidden treasure in Cumberland. Staff is very knowledgeable and make you feel like you're part of the family. Scarlet Run ia one of my favorite wines and the Cranberry Apple sells out fast for thanksgiving.

You'll love this place. There's about a half-dozen wines to try- and about half of them of fruit wines (but very special here because they only use real fruit, no concentrates). Unique options like the apple one that can be served chilled or hot (think about Thanksgiving). There's about a dozen little tables (ranging from 2-4 seats per table) on the covered deck, and about a half-dozen tables on the lawn area (some have umbrellas) to sit at. You can bring your own food and sit anywhere, or they do have some food you can buy, too. Plus- the tastings are FREE!

My finace and I were so excited to attend the wine tasting at diamond hill winery. Upon our arrival, we were not greeted and there were a group of people in the middle of a wine tasting. After 15 minutes standing there in this small room looking at the walls and circulating between the room, my fiance finally received a pointer finger with the woman saying one minute. We waited a few more minutes, and after the akwardness that we felt we decided to leave. The lady could have approached us in a more timely manner, and greeted us with a hello, not her pointer finger after 15 minutes of standing there. It was a very awkward situation, that i wouldnt recommend. Rather than spending our 200 dollars on the winery expereince we went for lunch and spent it there. At least at the end of the night I had my cheese and wine!!!

Very nice, small vineyard and the owner is very nice. My wife and I really enjoy their offerings and sometimes they run out of their more popular and specialty vintages. I recommend checking their website for pricing and inventory. For the most part, the prices are reasonable and I also recommend having a tasting. They produce both grape and fruit wines and they also sell by the glass, with a porch to sit and enjoy it. Cheers!

I've visited the place twice and would love to make it a weekly routine. A historical, warm, cozy and oh so comfortable. Whether sitting on that wonderful back porch taking in the day and chatting with friends. Or just relaxing V.I.P. style in their plush drawing room. There's a fireplace...and what better to savor a glass or toast friends by its hearth. Their wine is choice and tastings are complimentary. I find the prices very reasonable. Once you walk through those doors..you are greeted by new friends eager to serve you. So Take a ride up this way.

The Things I See

When my party and I told the owner we were going to wait for the party in front us to end their tasting so we could join (because there was absolutely no space for us where the tasting was taking place) we were told "We don't do that here". The woman guiding the tastings was very nice on the other hand.

Great spot to get unique locally-made, fruit-based wine. The cranberry apple and blackberry wines are my favorites. The owner offers free tastings/samplings, and you can even buy custom-made wine bottle labels for special occasions like birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, holidays, etc. I also love that you can bring your own snack/picnic food as you sip away outside or inside with wine by the glass or with a bottle (if you're 2+ people). The winery also offers loyalty cards for buying wine by the glass/bottle, which is a nice touch, and the owner asks her customer base for harvesting help in the late summer (you get paid in wine--everybody wins!). My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I sometimes drop by for just the casual drink. It's very pleasant to sit by the cozy fireplace during the colder months, or to soak in the scenery and the vineyards outside on a warmer day. The winery is also nicely tucked away on its own land/property, so I often feel like I'm on a private estate somewhere in Europe.
