Great music festival! Had a great time. Added to my yearly stops. Best of all, free to veterans!

An absolutely beautiful place to host a wedding or any other special event. Also if you just wanted a fun summer or fall trip you can come out to the winery and listen to live music on the patio. The wines across the board are very solid and believe it or not I like their white ones better then there red an I'm way more of a red drinker. Can't wait to find the time to go back.

Dave Meyer

Mostly whites and sweet wines.

Melissa Estrada

Customer service was poor upon arrival with parking/security attendant, whom were drinking beer, to the tasting room attendant who didn't greet us or bother to tell us about the wines we were tasting. The venue is beautiful but unfortunately the wines were not good.

Denise Charlesworth

Bad customer service, everyone seems drunk! I feel there wines are over priced for the quality. And beware we had a bottle of moon river red pop its cork out on our rack and ruin our rug and wallpaper. Don't think we'll be buying any of there wine again!

Jonathan H

Beautiful view but the staff is not friendly nor helpful; not what you would expect after paying $16 for a bottle of sugar water

Tanya Kara

The views here are beautiful, but unfortunately that's about it. The wines and ciders are not good and the service is incredibly slow. Went to a reggae festival there last night and waited over 50 minutes for 1 pizza. Would not recommend this winery.

I visited Moon Dancer at a recent wine festival. Overall, the property is gorgeous and the wine was great, but I found there were issues with the way the event was handled: - Long Wait for Drinks - There was ONE line for wine for the hundreds of people in attendance, so guests stood in the hot sun for extremely long periods of time just to get a single drink. The people distributing wine slushies were stingy with them because they said: "we're running out, we weren't expecting this many people." That's an absurd thing to say when tix were pre-sold. It could have been estimated how many guests would show up based off of the # of pre-sold tix. - Poorly Placed / Scarce Trashcans - There were only two trashcans that I saw on the entire property, placed by the entrance area, which caused attendants to leave trash everywhere. I may be nitpicking, but there wasn't recycling, which I personally do not appreciate as a consumer because I find it unethical for a winery that distributes glass bottles to refrain from recycling. - Blocked View - Food trucks were present, but placed poorly as they blocked the gorgeous view of the river from the property (at this specific event). - General Takeaway - All of this to say, those few speed bumps didn't ruin my time, it was great, and you should totally visit this beautiful place and experience their great wine. I just hope someone who works there reads this and they do better for their next event.

Great service, awesome fruit and berry wines, beautiful venue.

Phillip Kwok

Their pizza is very good and the razzberry wine is dangerous doesn't taste like wine at all

John Leggore

Excellent wines. Wood fired pizza was good too.

Gregory Williams

Great venue for Reggae Fest. Outside at the vineyard with great artists and music for two days.

M B

The building is adorable and the view is breathtaking! Wine was good and staff friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a small wedding or bridal shower.

Theresa Ridge

Love the wine. The view is beautiful when sitting outside.

Nathan S

When we first arrived it looked nice with great views. However, the staff was disorganized and not professional. There was a very obese shirtless man with two others that were visibly drunk with multiple bottles on the table. They were obviously friends of the staff and were loud and using foul language. It ruined the entire atmosphere. Wine was okay, but won't be returning again. Place just seems poorly managed.

Easily the most odious excuse for wine I've ever had the misfortune of drinking. The tasting was in a dark cellar, which served to conceal the urine-colored hue of the white they offered us, but that didn't mask the urine scent. If you think wine should be sweet, then maybe you'd enjoy their product. On the other hand, if you drink real wine, stay clear and buy great wine for less. It's a scenic property and a shame it's wasted as a "vineyard".

This place really shouldn't call themselves a winery. The venue has great potential and nice views, but its not what anyone would expect of a winery; no tasting room - just belly up to the bar with everyone else trying to get drinks, the glasses were dirty, the wines were warm, (first white tasted like vinegar,) the bartender knew very little about the wines. It would make a nice pizza place overlooking the river, with live music...forget about the winery part.

From the first sight and smell I knew that the merlot I was not. It looked like watered down wine and tasted worse. I have had jug wine better than this. My other samples were on a par with this. My son had a similar experience with his samples. We were not planning a wine tour but my son felt we should have a pleasant experience and took us to Nissely Vineyards where our experience was in sharp contrast. Merlot tasted like a merlot worth sharing with friends. We bought five different bottles total at half the price at Moon Dancer. 12/22/14

The atmosphere, the wine, the live music, the staff, the views, all were superb. First time visit was 12/15/12 and plan on many, many return visits. Looking into having our wedding there in 2014! Love this place, a new fav

If you like a beautiful setting...Moon Dancer is the place for you. If you like good wine (in particular dry wine) there is room for improvement.

Potentially an amazing place. But... the outside groundskeeping reminded me of a run down farm..complete with a mule path to get there. The building is beautiful, patio just so so. View is fantastic. Never stayed as it was packed with an event. Will try again. I hope the owners realize the goldmine they could have.

I drove from Pittsburgh for reggae fest and had an amazing time. The manager was so friendly and hospitable, the selections of bands was amazing! A true hidden gem of Pennsylvania.

Sandy Abel

What a great time today at Moondancer Winery's Jamaica in January. The band was hot!

Lisa Repp

It is by far my favorite wine in the tri state area and I've been to several wineries and tastings..I'll warn you i love sweet wines not a fan of dry..these wines are like eating the actual fruit.. the veiw is beautiful too..I used to drive from Hagerstown MD to purchase a case now I live in Waynesboro which puts me 20 mins closer..LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

Nice and Clean. Needs more parking space for bigger events.

Brad-Alexis Ruth

This venue is beautiful, but if you book a party there be prepared to stand your ground. We booked this venue for a 50th birthday party, and we're offered the inside room or tent. We took the tent, because we could hear the band, and it was large enough to house or party. Fast forward to three days before the event... they never booked a band, so now there is no music. We had to scramble to put something together. Fast forward to two hours before the party, now there is music. Also they weren't sure if we wanted the tent, or the inside?! What? We booked the tent two months in advance! Lastly, while we are setting up in the tent, they tell us they are closing off half of the tent for the public!!!!! Excuse me?! We had a caterer, and our own bar. Why would we pay for a venue that the public can walk into, eat our food, and drink our drinks?! We told them absolutely not, they was not happening. We would be using the entire tent. They seemed irritated with us after we stood our ground. Would never book another event here, but at least the scenery was nice.

Came to the event a week ago and one of the worst experiences I have had. One tiny dangerous road and not enough parking for a free event with everyone turning around. People making u turns on a road that barely fits a normal vehicle. Food and wine may have been decent but not worthwhile your car falling off a hill. Parking staff told me deal with it when there was no room. No consideration for patron well being.

If you don't love the wine, they have craft beer. The pulled pork brick oven pizza was delicious. Sitting outside with the view of the Susquehanna River is the best. I visited here during their Red White and Blues Festival. Music was great. I also, appreciate that dogs are welcome and there are a few water bowls set out.

Adam Dippner

Decent enough wine pizza is pretty good. If there's live music you can forget about having a conversation is far too loud

Mital Shah

Great atmosphere. .. good selection.. great place to relax..

Rich Severin

We were on a vineyard tour, arrived here and it was busy, not surprised. Waited in line for 10 minutes, had people cut in front of us in line, people behind the bar not helpful, and they didn’t even have the glasses for the tour. Waste of a trip. Will not be returning anytime soon.

This winery has great views, the wine is good/okay. I would have given 4 stars but I didn't due to the service. My husband and I wanted to taste some of the wines and although there was not a lot of people (maybe 2 other couples), we got skipped constantly to the point that we were just going to leave, overall I thought the service was rude.

Great Atmosphere and the wine was delicious. Donna was such a pleasure to talk with.

Megan Jones

Great wines, lovely views of the river and vines, brick oven pizzas are delicious. Great for kids to run and play while parents have a nice picnic and wine!

CELENE Swinehart

Could be a great fine dining place if someone would want to bother. Other than that, it is not a winery as you would expect. Extremely dirty and terrible looking way they are going about the making of food. Did not stay. Not worth the drive to the terrible rutty dirt ,dusty long road.

Great wine, great view, and great events. Check their social media to see what they have going on. There's always something cool at Moon Dancer.

Good location with wine and pizzas. The owner's dog is always let loose and will keep jumping onto tables. He stole my pepperoni pizza by jumping on the table right off the pan which would have been cute, if I wasn't terribly hungry. The owner couldn't be bothered to discipline his dog.

The music was terrible. Not able to amplify because of neighbors that are rude

Wife and stopped here on the recommendation of a friend while out riding. Word of caution if you go here on a motorcycle, it's up a long sloped gravel driveway with some pretty big ruts and holes. We did a tasting, and the wine pours were very small, like one tiny sip per tasting. We were there 45 minutes before close, and we were going to order food but they told us they stop food orders an hour prior to close. Not a huge deal, but just something to be aware of. The staff seemed overwhelmed by having to deal with 6 or 7 people at the same time and it was difficult to get their attention for anything. The location is beautiful though, and they have a large patio overlooking the river.

Emily Roper

Beautiful countryside and location. Stopped in for a wine tasting. Highly disappointed by the multiple wines we tried and by the quality of the service. Other patrons were visibly intoxicated and detracted from the overall experience.

Brett Catone

If your wondering why his wine is so bad it is because he sweetens it with Hawaiian punch.

Karen Hunt

We had a very enjoyable visit to Moon Dancer. The positives include super nice people, great wine, delicious pizza, very enjoyable music and a beautiful view. The negatives...the place is need of a lot of general maintenance. It has the potential to be a classy and elegant place. My suggestions to make this a much more beautiful place would be simple things like a thorough cleaning (for example cleaning the dirty doors), pulling weeds and trimming hedges, weed eating around the grape vines, trim work around doors, replacing hanging and window baskets on the patio with fresh live flowering baskets and sprucing up the general decor. Overall we had a nice experience and would come back.

Had a great time at the Reggae Festival last weekend!! Love the wine, will make it a point to make it back here.

Horrible customer service if you plan an event there. We spoke to the owner months in advance a paid over $500 to reserve the winery for a private bridal shower. We agreed upon a scheduled time of 10;30-1:30 on a Sunday and the building would be available earlier so we could bring in our food and decorations. Upon arrival at the agreed upon time no staff was present, the place was totally trashed from a wild party the night before. Empty bottles, food, and trash all over the patio and back yard area. The staff shows up half asleep and informs us someone will be here at 11am. Hello our shower starts at 10:30. So we setup the patio, cleaned up all the trash, wiped off all their tables, prepared the serving area to serve our guests wine, and they opened up to the public at 11 after we did their job. After confronting the staff they were full of excuses why they were not prepared and rude to us. What did we really pay for? If you want to enjoy some entertainment with a few glasses of wine great, if you want to book and event there BEWARE!!!!

Stopped here once for the afternoon. Turned out to be a very fun afternoon. Moon Dancer Winery is a very large mansion / chateau on several acres overlooking the beautiful Susquehanna River, just outside of Wrightsville PA. There's lots of local artwork, paintings, photographs and jewelry (as well as logo tasting glasses) for sale throughout the building. They have samples for most of their wines that are sold there (18-32 a bottle), at a small bar inside. There's live music every weekend (2-5pm), and they have special weekend Festivals (20.00 per person) where food + wine are available for sale. Available for private parties, bridal showers, weddings, etc. Ample parking available, Hours: Wed, Thur, Fri noon-5pm, Sat & Sunday 11am-6pm

Zachary Rogers

A very beautiful and romantic setting with great brick-oven pizza. I've been here more than once and my only complaint is their choice of live music.

So 7 years saw a 5 star review. However 8/3/19 has permanently changed my view. Gathered up the gang after telling them for years how great the wine was, the views, etc... Only to get up there to be met by some snobby millennial telling me it was $40 to get in for a reggae festival. I tried to explain we were only there to buy a case of wine., to which we were told that we could pay the fee or turn around. GUESS WHAT, we turned around and NEVER looked back and will NEVER be back. Plus this review will be mirrored on every review board I can find. If you don't want to sell wine and be a festival ground, update your website so people don't waste hours on the drive. 7 years ago (So worth the 3 hour roundtrip to go. The Busters blush and the Cisco Peach are like gifts from heaven. The views... The music... The wine!)
