This place is phenomenal. I was there this past Sunday, and I left thoroughly impressed with not only the wine, but also with the estate. They only had four wines to taste, but the quality is worth the small quantity. My favorite was their Pinot noir. The owners and manager were all there, and they were so friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this winery to anyone who likes to indulge in fantastic wine.

This winery is picturesque. The tasting room overlooks the Vineyard, the wine is delicious, and the staff is unbelievably friendly. A must try for anyone who loves a relaxing day with a glass of wine.

We've done a number of the other wineries in the area but their wine doesn't come close to Hackett's. Can't wait to get back and buy a few bottles of their Cab Franc.

Came in for a tasting after doing some local hiking - what a great way to end the day! Bob greeted us as soon as we walked in and got us set up to do the tasting flight. While there were a few other parties there, he was very attentive and shared some great stories on how he got started in the wine industry. To top it off, the tasting room is beautiful and quaint and the property is gorgeous. A definite must for anyone looking to explore the best of Lehigh Wines! Thanks for a great visit, we'll be back!

Update: Still the same great wine, but they now offer a few beers from Wallenpaupack brewery as well as local cheese. Also, if you come during the winter, bring a jacket. There are heaters but they can only do so much with the PA temperatures. The tasting room was well decorated and felt homey. The owner was nice and very knowledgeable. Most importantly, the wine was very good. I got a couple bottles.

We went to other wineries today and this one was our favorite. Mature wines, professional and friendly service, rustic setting moneys on the wine. Best for dry reds.

Brian Goodman

Concur with earlier reviews. If you like high quality, dry red wines this place is the best place we found in this area so far. A must stop for hardcore wine lovers. UPDATE: Their new Merlot is the best wine's I've tasted in Pa. WOW

Once upon a time, one of my best friends and I were wine trekking across the Lehigh Valley on a lazy Saturday. We hit up Weathered Vineyards and were on our way to Blue Mountain when we saw a barrel and a sign on the side of the road. After my friend pointed it out, I literally backed up in the middle of the road (please do not attempt this) and into the driveway. It turned out that this winery, Hackett, had just opened the day prior. This decision led me to my favorite winery of all time, with one of the best winemakers in the area. Bob is a true artist, and his wine is absolutely amazing. I will say that this winery is not for those who only like sweet wine. His wines are all dry, but they all have great character and are worth the price. He has a small menu, but that is because he takes the greatest care and pride in his creations. It truly shows in the final product. Not only are the wines fantastic, but the venue itself matches what it sells. The tasting room is small, but it is unique in its design. There are board games to play, but sometimes, when it's not busy, the best entertainment is being able to have a chat with Bob or some of the other patrons and just relax in the company of good people. My fiance and I have spent whole days enjoying ourselves here, whether in the tasting room or out on the lawn when it's nice enough outside. Most of our wedding wine will be from here. There's a reason for that.
