On our way home from a wedding in Pittsburgh, we decided to stop for a tasting and a glass. First off, the location is great being between the two exits off the Turnpike and being directly off of 30 so you can parallel the Turnpike which means it isn't too far out of your way. Then, when we arrived, we were greeted and had a wonderful conversation with who I assume is the owner, as we completed our tasting. He was knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. The real kicker was that, when we went outside to admire the amazing view as we had our wine right after it rained, someone came out and offered to wipe where we standing on the railing down with a towel. We never asked for that so it was a pleasant surprise that someone was willing to just do it. Finally, the wines were amazing. We are sweet and semi sweet drinkers so that is what we stuck to and they were some of the best we ever had especially the cherry wine which is only made with cherries. It isn't super sweet but, most importantly, it doesn't taste like cough syrup since it is actual cherries instead of artificial stuff. They also had some amazing sangria for the summer which is worth a glass. By far the coolest thing was the wine drops they sold which is chocolate, both milk and dark, filled with some of their wine. I have never seen that before and I wanted to buy all of them. We will be stopping here again when we need to break up the trip to and from DC. I wish I could give it six stars.
