It was kind of "meh." Absolutely do not go there planning to order a dinner, or anything more than a snack.
Not that the facility can do a WHOLE lot (they could do a few things) but...as we sat outside, (everyone does) the way the flies swarmed as soon as there was even a little food, was both super gross and annoyingly tiresome. I had to keep one hand free at all times to perpetually swat away dozens of flies trying to befoul my They also have like, no food. Apparently you can bring your own..? (Who would even think about that on a first visit?) Their own menu consists of literally four things, two of which are pizza items. However we got a meat and cheese tray ($12)with roasted peppers and a little bit of bread ($3 extra substitute for Triscuits) Aside from one of the meats being sweet bologna, it was a great snack pairing with the wine. Although there's not a whole lot you can do wrong with pre-sliced meat and cheese, except select a meat or cheese selection... sweet bologna definitely gives away their redneck roots.
That being said, their wine is surprisingly sophisticated, especially for this area. They had some very good reserve selections; their semi-dry choices were also good, except for the Tiramisette (or something). It was supposedly semi-dry, spicy with a peppery finish (BIG fan of peppery wines) - it was none of that. It was much closer to semi-sweet and not a bit peppery or spicy. But most if the wines were pretty decent, I enjoyed the Chardonel and the Reserve Reisling.
