I have long loved the wines at allegro, and I won't say a name but after getting dinner I stopped in at their tasting room in Wrightsville on Friday. The girl working there was kind enough to warn me about recent issues they have had, she told me that they have had recalls, and warned me about some double fermentations that had been happening. She also told me they had cloudy wines? I will say that their Reds are excellent however.

Received a Groupon for Allegro for Christmas and my GF and I loved it. The wine was very good and they had quite the range of flavors and types. The prices are great and the server was amazing. We will return!

Delivery has been timely & wines have been very well cushioned and packaged. If you like sweet wine, the one named “Punk” is amazing! I’ve enjoyed a few of the other sweet ones too, but Punk is my favorite thus far. I’ve ordered it twice for myself and once for a friend. Delicious! I will be ordering this one again and trying more of the others! Thanks & hats off to you Allegro☺️

I love Allegro wines but on our last visit to the winery we had very unprofessional service. I was with a group of 10 people who drived about an hour and a half to get there. When we arrived the two women working were rude and told us we would not be able to taste because of the size of our group. They kept pointing out that we should have called ahead. There were only two customers tasting when we arrived so they were not busy. Only half of our group was able to taste which in the end hurt them because we all purchased less wine than we would have if the whole group was able to taste. Overall I found the service to be unprofessional and gave me a negative impression of the winery overall.

Have fallen in love with Allegro wines. Harmony was introduced to me at the State Store in North Hanover PA by an employee who obviously loves good wine!! I then discovered the tasting bar at the Thomasville market. The lady who always seems to be there is awesome! She clearly loves what she does and has passion about each type she sells!!! Can't wait to buy another bottle. Plan to purchase for my daughters wedding!!!

Went on a Monday with the girlfriend, not to crowded. Quiet little place with really great wines, especially the reds. Our hostess/server; Meagan, was very knowledgeable about the wine and gave us the rich history of the place and even providing details about the choice for the labels. The wines themselves were very good and reasonable priced, the reds that are produced have a wide complex range of flavors, you'll find one for your palette, try the Reserve Cabernet and/or the Cadenza, both are excellent. Though I am not a sweet wine drinker, I have to give a shout out to the sweet wines, there were very tasty and not too overly sweet. Ended up buying 8 bottles, will definitely be back here when the weather is a bit warmer seated in beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the rolling hills. Great experience and looking forward to coming back!

Nice tucked away gem. The staff was incredibly helpful even on a busy Saturday and friendly at that. Lots of room to sit inside or out and they also have snacks to go along with your selection(s). We'll definitely be back!

The John Wright tasting room was just okay to me. We did get served but not very welcomed.

I got a deal for a wine tasting on Groupon. Worth every penny! The staff are absolutely amazing! Meagan was patient and knowledgeable as we inquired about our selections. We sat out on the patio and watched the butterflies float by on a perfect wine tasting day. Their wines are musically named, each one crafted to perfection. The environment is not stuffy at all. The winery is off the beaten path and only marked by a small blue sign on the main road, then a sign at the entrance. The door to the building is difficult to locate, so just look for the main patio. 5/5 stars for quality, friendliness and overall experience. I will definitely be ordering a few bottles from them in the near future!

I have long been a fan of Allegro. Carl and Kris have done an amazing job with one of the best wine properties in Pennsylvania, and one of the best in the eastern U.S. Wine quality, already high when they took over in the early 2000s, took a jump up soon after Carl and Kris modernized the operation and upgraded the vineyards. As most of the prior reviews demonstrate, Kris and Carl run one of the friendliest, most relaxed and fun hospitality destinations for anyone remotely interested in wine. I suspect the Allegro reserve wines are sold only on allocation now. This is unsurprising given their top-notch quality. If I am wrong, and you can get your hands on some of the reserve chardonnay, you will easily realize Allegro can make wine of world class. The reserve cabs are stunning, too. How Carl and Kris manage to make wines of this caliber, wines for everyday drinking, and run a fun destination, all at such a high level, is truly amazing and commendable.

AMAZING! I'm not a big fan of American wine in general, and especially not east coast. Allegro will open your eyes to what people can do here. Dog Friendly (outside), awesome staff, and...you won't believe me till you try it...knock your socks off...classic varietals. If anyone on the east coast (U.S.?) is making a better bordeaux-style blend, I sure as hell haven't had it. Whoever is behind the scenes here has world-class talent.

I was in Pennsylvania visiting some family members for an event and we stopped at the winery. After a few wine tasting samples to see which ones I liked best I ended up with 3 bottles and I plan on coming back for more.

Carl and his most hospitable crew were vinetastic. So appreciate him dumbing down the information without making me feel dumb. We have had many great wine experiences over the years and this library tasting ranks at the top. Very informative. Thanks again Carl

Can't personally recommend. Visited the John Wright tasting room on 5/31 and I don't know if it was due to prime time, but the service was slow and it seemed like they had too much on their plate.

Dennis Overmiller

Wonderful time. Great wine, and an amazing hostess.

Anna Smith

I did a wine tasting in Wrightsville. All was going well until I informed Kelsey(?, black hair) that I wouldn't be purchasing a wine club, at that point she just walked away and ignored me. Not even finishing the wine tasting. I would have most likely bought a bottle of wine, but wasn't even given that option.

Mike Reid

Great wine, knowledgeable staff and a beautiful setting. Haven't had a wine I didn't like yet!

Paula Rose

We really enjoyed our wine tasting experience! The cheese, crackers, sausage and fruit tray along with our bottle of wine while sitting outside was a great way to spend our day. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the wines.
