My wife and I loved your wine. Beautiful location too. We even bought 6 bottles of wine. Re-joined the club. But, now we're cancelling our membership. Lots of places make great wine, have a great location and awesome customer service with a smile. The Man working on Sat. the 24th, can't recall his name, was extremely grumpy and rude. No thank you. No come back soon. No welcome. No smile or making eye contact. Weird. I think we were a bother to him. We won't be back soon. Please cancel out membership asap.

The best warm-weather wine in Oregon, hands down. Put this on your list of places to wine taste in Oregon, even if it means driving out of the way - you won't be disappointed, and with wines by the glass and an absolutely gorgeous tasting room, you can make a whole afternoon of it.

Excellent wines, beautiful setting. Fun place to take visitors. Classy, yet not too pretentious.

Terrific! Friends from Portland were knocked out at the quality wines, great atmosphere, Friday pizza selection, and great prices.

Lovely setting in the vineyard. We had the dog so we sat outside. The antipasto plate included Gouda, Manchego and blue, salami and two Italian hams and was enough for three. Abacela spurns the most popular varietals. -- Cab, Pinot and Chardonnay, emphasizing Rhone and Spanish grapes. The Albariño and Albariño reserve were light and flavorful, perfect for a warm summer afternoon. The Syrah Reserve was the star of the show.

Beautiful winery and setting, great place for a picnic and some samplings. Samplings cost between $5 (3 wines) and $10 (5 wines) and they will credit you the cost if you buy 3 or more bottles. The Temperanillo and the Ports are great. We arrived just as they were harvesting and destemming some grapes and while on the tour, the wine maker (Adam?) took the time to show us every step of the process and even let us sample some grapes as well as wine in a few different stages (right after pressing and after fermenting for a week in the stainless steel containers). He was extremely knowledable and friendly and was happy to share with us and even the kids. Highly recommended esp if you can get some time with the wine maker

We were introduced to and impressed by Abecela several years ago at a restaurant in Bandon, OR and have wanted to visit the winery ever since. We got our chance a couple of weeks ago while returning to San Diego along the I-5 South. Just west of Winston, OR it is a short and worthwhile detour. The grounds and tasting room were beautiful. Across the board the wines were exceptional. We purchased a six-pack that included their rose, granache, syrah and albarino. During our tasting we ordered a wine and cheese board that was one of the best we have ever had--anywhere. The "Plaza Plate" included a selection of three gourmet cheeses and charcuterie, dried fruit, nuts and olives. Although our server was relatively new, she made us feel at home and took great care to see that our tasting was as informative and enjoyable as possible.

After visiting 10 wineries in the Rosebure wine region, we can easily say that Abacela Winery is our favorite. Their wine selection is broad and extremely good, through all the whites, reds, and after dinner wines. We had a difficult time selecting which wines to purchase. The counter service was the best that we experienced. Kelly was very knowledgeable and very nice. After the tasting and the purchasing of the wine, we bought a couple of glasses of wine and a large plate of bread, cheeses, and dried apricots and sat outside to enjoy a wonderful country view. The ambience was terrific, and we'll be sure to visit Abacela Winery the next time we're there.

Stopped on our way from Portland to Klamath Falls (week long stay for wine tasting). Scheduled a “private tasting “ & it exceeded our expectations! We were in the Library room & our guide/server was great. Tasting included several off menu items & was accompanied by I nice plate of meats, cheeses, bread & crackers. Tasted the wide range of wines they produced & learned a lot about the winery & their history. I would highly recommend this place to any wine enthusiast!

Nice and knowledgeable staff. If you're a dessert wine person, the port is 11% brandy fortified.

Excellent views, a bit pricy for tasting

I visited this winery on a tour a few months ago and wanted to revisit with friends. We visited with our friends and have mixed feelings about our experience. The wines were good, the venue very nice and the 2 ladies were very pleasant. All that was over shadowed by the man working who seemed to be grumpy and not happy. Our party of 4 consisted of 2 couples. We decided to do a tasting and shared who went to get each tasting. When my friend and I went in, the man seemed almost rude and hurried. I told my husband that he could get the rest as I didn’t care for the man’s attitude when I asked what the wine was that we were getting. The winery was open till 6 pm and he started closing up the umbrellas at 5:15, which made us feel hurried. At 5:30 he came and gave us our last tasting outside where we were sitting, which was odd, as we had been going inside to get each taste. I mentioned that the woman inside told us that we could taste as dessert wine and he told us to to go inside for it as it needed special glasses. When we did, he only gave us 2 glasses for 4 people and again made us feel hurried. It was still 15 minutes before closing. We all felt that we have no need to visit this winery again. It’s too bad the one person can ruin an experience, which in our case it has.

Had a great experience yesterday. Beautiful facility, friendly hosts, and great red wines. Sat up on the deck after our tastings with a glass of our choice. The only negative is they do not allow outside food.

Ross Tinti

Great tasting experience. Their grenache is particularly good this year. Beautiful grounds with rolling hills and views. Pizza on Fridays. Skip on over to the wildlife safari zoo close by.

Amy Benjamin

Great tasting room, fabulous views and the Malbec and Tempernillo is top notch!

OMM!! (Oh, My, My!!) I didn't taste at the winery as I was driving home for a few hours, but I did purchase the best Muscat I have ever tasted, and I love this varietal!! On a funny note, I saw the blackboard with what I thought were the prices. So when the bill total was quite a bit more, I asked about it and the friendly server told me that the number next to the wine was the year!! Did I feel stupid??? Yes, but now the servers have a good story to tell. Oh well, live and learn. I will be back!! TZ

My wife and I were visiting our friends in Roseburg during the harvest in October of 2013. While visiting, we had the opportunity to attend a private tasting and food pairing. Having lived in Lake and Mendocino Counties in California, we have been lucky to enjoy many fine wines through the years. Abacela is right up at the top with any competition. Their vineyard is beautiful and the atmosphere very relaxing. Try it. Like us, you'll be joining the wine club and coming home with several cases as well. jw PS, I recommended Abacela to my friend who is a vintner at a small winery in California. He tasted several of our wines, and is excited to go to Abacela.

We had a great experience wine tasting with Debra this afternoon. The location beautiful, she had good information on the wines, grapes and history. We did not feel rushed but rather had an experience. The tasting fee and purchase price felt somewhat high to us but overall a good experience tasting some nice wines.

George Mount
