We ordered our shelter months ago through Lowes. Tornado safe rescheduled 3 times and the last time we decided we would get our money back was when they came AGAIN and told my husband our ground was a little too wet which was fine and they'd come back the next day , but they did not have notes on taking our gate down and putting it back up which had been discussed before. The last time tornado safe reps came they said they could take the gate down but wouldnt put it back up because it was too old. Now if we would have known that from the beginning then we would have found someone for 5he gate but because they had kept rescheduling and hasnt mentioned the age if the gate , we were done. I understand at some points these companies are at the mercy of this crazy weather , but this place was very inconsistent, wouldnt call me back when they said they would and couldnt do the work thay was paid for . The only time I got a call back was from the manager , who was actually pretty nice , but I still would not recommend this place to anyone so we will find someone else that can get a safe in for our family and children .

I had Preferred Shelter come out and install a slope shelter in my backyard and they finished in about an hour. I was impressed! Friendly contractor and I am happy about my service with this company.

I would give them zero if it would let me. First off, the rain this year has been crazy. I understand you cant install my unit with wet ground. That is not my complaint. The complaint is I got rescheduled 4 or 5 times and was never told about it until I had to call this company. They will not call you. The straw that broke the cammels back was I was scheduled for Friday, was originally told in the morning. That was not the case. I had to call them to find this out. I was then told it would be between 1-2. 3 PM rolled around and I had to call them again. I was promised it was going to get done. 5pm I called them again to find out it was again not getting done that day, but was promised first thing Monday. I take off work again. 930am Monday I called them again since the refuse to call me. Was told again I'll get installed between 1and 2. 2:30 rolls around and I HAD TO CALL THEM AGAIN. come to find out they messed up someone's sewer and I can be moved to some time next week. So if you're looking for constant rescheduled appointments. Absolutely zero communication, really just a horrible experience go with these guys. Otherwise move along. They are cheap for a reason. To the owner who replies to these bad reviews, feel free to call me. I've tried talking to you several times with no success. You have my number.

They were great, from answering questions in the showroom to the install. Our installer didn't mind us watching the whole process and answered all of our questions. The shelter is built really well and it came with spray on bedliner, not paint. Also metal steps and 8' benches

Installed a flat top, in ground shelter and did an amazing job. Clean up was fantastic. The shelter is level and looks really nice. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I compared them to 7 other shelter installers in the area, and they were by far the best priced. Lalo and Daniel were the two that did that install, and their professionalism and attention to detail exceeded expectations. I recommend this company. They do it right!

First class storm shelters above ground (with small window) and below ground. Looks very professional. Have their own building in OKC. Good customer service. Prices in line with other shelter providers.

Honestly this place is so incredibly disappointing. If I’m the one review you read take your money and go else where . I’ve called to not get calls back and it’s kind of frustrating when you live in Moore Oklahoma in the path of past storms. I’ve been hearing hear the ground is too wet or that they’re “trying to get people rescheduled” but you just don’t get a call to get rescheduled. Now hopefully I will get a call back with my one star review!! ID LIKE TO SCHEDULE MY INSTILLATION WHEN THE WEATHER CLEARS UP. Also my storm shelter instillation date was in 4/25/19 and here we are going into June. Might as well wait til fall to get your shelter installed! Don’t sign a contract with this company because the no call back thing just has me wondering what is CUSTOMER SERVICE????

We just had our shelter delivered and installed; very impressive! Technicians did a great job and although it was a warm day, they made it look easy. The door handle arrived broken, but the shelter is still perfectly usable and they promised to send us a new one in the next few days.

This experience was very disappointing. Tornado Safe had scheduled our storm shelter to be delivered and installed. That morning we received a call that they were running late and should be there by 10:30 am. It was nearly noon before they arrived. They were there until almost 10 pm. The more experienced installer blamed the newer guy on why it took so long. However, the door would not work properly. Even if we needed it there was no way to get in the shelter. The fact that I have concrete residue on the inside of my small garage door, and concrete residue on the curb where they cleaned up their truck, along with having to use our shop vac doesn’t help with the impression I’m left with. The installer did come back and replaced the door but still has to replaced the other top panel. The paint job was totally unprofessional. He was suppose to be back June 8th with a new painted panel but have not seen or heard from him. We had called to talk to a manager or the owner and left messages with the young lady who answered the phone. Never received a call back. Not sure if a manager or owner didn’t get the message or just doesn’t care. Bob Bamman

These people are a joke. We met them at the home and garden show two months ago. The shady salesman told us they could do it within three weeks. We called the next day and got four weeks. We called at the four month date to be told they’d call us when they were ready. Called three weeks later to be told this mystery man Paul(you can’t reach him when you call), would call us back. We’ve called every couple of days without mystery man Paul calling us back. Another week we don’t need the shelter for awhile. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I loved working with TornadoSafe! Paul did a great job explaining how the installation process would go, and there were no surprise charges or fees. The moment the team was finished installing our standing tornado shelter in our garage, I had a wave of relief run over me. It is amazing what peace of mind is really worth. Thank you, Paul!
