Super overpriced and not even worth it. Food was mediocre. Lobster bisque was terrible, no lobster it in, pretty sure they poured it out of a can. The glasses of wine were small. I made a comment to my waiter about how he kept pouring small amounts on top of my glass which still had wine in it. Manager came over and said they serve 5.5 oz pours and that was what it should be. Should have just topped my glass off for what we spent for a party of six there. Not to mention, every other restaurant in America serves 6 or 9 ounce glasses. Would never go back there or recommend it.

Asked hostess for patio seating, apparently it’s open so we went out and proceeded to wait over 10 minutes for a waiter to literally run by and drop menus and cups of ice on our table, no “hello” or “welcome” or anything, just an “I’ll be right back”. After another 3 minutes we left to purchase our $50 wine and apps elsewhere, what happened?

Not a great wine selection, and when we tried to order a second bottle of a wine we like, they were out. With so many great steakhouses in OKC, I would not recommend wasting your time and money here.

Not impressed at all. We both ordered the 14 ounce ribeye with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The cut on the ribeye had absolutely no rib meat and was tough and not marbled. It looked and tasted more like a sirloin with little flavor to it. The roasted potatoes were good. We received 3 pieces of very thin asparagus and they forgot to put the blu cheese sauce on it. The sides were very small portions for the price. Service was poor. The waiter took our appetizer order and then walked away before we could order our drinks. We asked for tea when he returned and then still had to wait until our meal to receive our drinks. Just overall bad service and very bad meal. We will not recommend and or return to this place. Very disappointed and feeling ripped off!

Dimmly lit very romantic setting.The Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro is a great date night destination. Service here was pleasant and attentive. The food scored high on quality taste and preparation not so much on plating and presentation creativity. The deserts varied, while the creme brulee was so so, the molten lava cake was off the hook delicious. I suggest you grab a date and try this joint. It's someplace I'll revisit.

Overall it was a good dinner, I was just hoping for a little more bang for your buck! I got the diver scallops and they were delicious but for 38 bucks I wish there were more than 5 scallops. The star of the meal was the Gruyere risotto! It was beyond amazing! Also the Caesar salad with whole anchovies on top was delicious. My husband got the rack of lamb and it was also good but we didn’t taste any of the garlic rosemary, the star of his was the wild mushroom risotto! I don’t know what they do to the risotto but it’s so good! I wasn’t a fan of the small tables when you first walk in where they sit just 2 tops. They are so close together and it’s not quite as romantic vibe as we would have liked for our anniversary. But overall it was a nice dinner

IN LOVE with this place. My husband and I wanted a place we could dress up to and have a nice dinner out. We tried The Mantel on a whim. Our waitress (Nadine) was friendly, knowledgeable and we never had to wait for refills or anything like that. Honestly every staff member we interacted with was super friendly and helpful. The food was so freakin good too! My husband got the ribeye and I ordered one of the features, Seatini. Definitely will be coming back.

Wonderful date night restaurant. Tables with candles, a chic interior, and an extensive wine list, this is a place that is designed for you to savor the evening, not grab a quick bite. The waiters here are professional and know the menu and can recommend handcrafted cocktails and unusual wines to compliment your meal. We split the salad and both had the duck which was fabulous. Save room for dessert; the bananas foster is served tableside with quite a show.

Great place to argue quietly with your wife. This place advertises a "casual" gourmet dining experience. I'm not entirely sure what that means, except that they don't insist on a tie. Being in Oklahoma, is there a place that does, though? This place is dimly lit, has paper covering the tablecloth, and has a tv playing in the not-entirely secluded bar area. The wait staff doesn't have the pretension to poor a glass of wine "properly" and they don't kiss your butt as hard core as other fancy dining places. Perhaps these things contribute to the "casual" part of the dining experience? I don't care so much about those things. The food was absolutely top notch. The steak tartar was fantastic, the ribeye was perfectly cooked, and they have the absolute best crème brûlée I've ever had. It's a deep dish crème brûlée that makes you thank whatever gods you tend to favor and then some other ones. I told my wife that if I had to choose between the crème brûlée and her, it would be the crème brûlée.

Nice place. The waitress was scatterbrained, it took over 25 minutes to get our appetizers, but the food was pretty good. A lot of the food was not what we had expected: crab cakes were loosely put together and didn't have much of a crunch, the Wellington trio were surprisingly thin and flat, and they forgot the capers with out slow smoked salmon appetizer. Everything tasted good though. Fair warning, if you share an entree ask them to just bring an extra plate - it costs $5 more if they split it for you, and if you have them split a side salad - it costs $2. We had the rack of lamb mid-rare, and it was cooked perfectly. I would probably come here again, but it is pretty expensive.

If I could give negative stars I would have! If your looking for good food, or a romantic atmosphere this is NOT the place for you. The hubby and I stopped in for dinner and a cocktail. To say the food was bad would be a understatement. I myself had the pork chops and was so disappointed. I didn't even make it thru half of my meal before I had to set it aside. The goat cheese appetizer was a joke. It was basically a soup mixture with a couple chunks of goat cheese, and the "crisp" served with it was basic potato chips. My martini had ice chunks from beginning to end. The whipped mashed potatoes was again a disappointment. I have had better out of a box. Sorry for the rant but trying to help others. Go anywhere else besides this place.

While the food is very good (it is why they got 2 stars and not just one), it is overpriced when you think about how poor the service is. For that kind of pricing you should have EXCELLENT service. They aren't upfront on prices when it comes to their specials. They offered to help me make a night special for my significant others 40th birthday, but didn't keep their word and then never even apologized when given the chance. I am extremely disappointed. If I had known they cared so little about guests and service, I would have chosen a different restaurant for our special night. Lesson learned.

I have been there 30 plus times and counting. I have never had a bad meal. The lobster bisque is fantastic. I always get fish or steak.. excellent! If you ask for medium rare, that is exactly what you get! Kudos for that alone!They are a little pricey but, the quality of food and service is well worth it. It’s coziness is a nice change from the pretentious pretenders in the area! Good wine list! It’s a great place for date nights and hope they hang around for a long time!

Hands down, the BEST porterhouse I have ever tasted. Seasoned to perfection. Perfect medium rare, as suggested. My husband doesn't eat steak and he said it was the highest quality piece of meat that he's had. Don't miss this place if you are ever in Oklahoma City.

Food was to die for! The Sicilian Sauce for dipping bread is unique and delicious, the side salad is elevated by a champagne dressing, the stake was tender and seasoned incredibly well, the fish just melted in your mouth, and the pasta was rich and creamy! Better than anything else in Bricktown! The staff were knowledgeable and even though the food took a little longer than expected to prepare, it was well worth the wait and the staff was incredibly accommodating.

We stopped in about 30 minutes before the kitchen closed after enjoying a concert nearby. The staff could have easily turned us away due to the late hour, and we would not have been upset. We were seated and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Lobster bisque very well seasoned, duck breast, and a chicken pasta dish were prepared quickly and served nice and hot. The service was quick and attentive but never rushed. Finally, as we were getting ready to leave, a strong storm hit, heavy rains and wind. We were getting ready to leave and walk back to our hotel when the owner have to his large umbrella, only asking that we drop it off before we left the next day. Not that is what I call service. We will definitely be back, though we won't show up quite so late next time.

What's with the paper table covers? for the prices, at least provide fabric table covers, or nothing at all!! poor service, with an attitude. One of those waiters who only smiles when they bring your check. It's dark, dingy and feels untidy. I will never go back and have told friends to save their money. Doesn't even deserve 1 star.

When you arrive, valet parking is available which is a nice touch; however, if the entrance is small, so if you do not prefer to deal with that there is parking nearby. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food quality and portion size matches the price, which is upscale. Overall, this restaurant is perfect for business clients, date nights, anniversaries, or for just a random night out. You won't be disappointed.

We've been here a few times on date nights. We really enjoy it! Our server was great and the food was really good. We ordered the cheese plate appetizer, french onion soup-which was phenomenal-the 8oz filet and the steak and scallops (one of the specials). My husband ordered his steak medium and it came out rare. As soon as the server saw my husband cut into it he took notice that it was the wrong temp and offered to take it back to correct it. When it came back out it was better but on the mid rare side of medium but my husband was ok with it. My steak was cooked perfectly and while the scallops were delicious and had the perfect sear, there was a bit of burned grittiness on them...almost like they had been seared on a hot grill or skillet that hadnt been wiped out all the way. Still totally edible but every few bites i could taste it. The potatoes and veggies were amazing. We skipped dessert since we were completely full! Overall, and based on multiple experiences, it was a delicious dinner with fabulous service. We'll definitely be back!

I didn’t have a enjoyable experience. Our service was very poor. We were seated quickly but our server took more then ten minutes to visit us. Then went to get menus. When he returned with the menus he didn’t explain what was the specialty’s or what sides came with an entry. It was just a best guess for your order. After about 15 more minutes we asked about bread and dipping sauce. From one of the cooks when he was passing. And he quickly brought us that which was really tasteful but Our group had the west coast stew and Filet mignon. The stew was extremely basic and a small portion and not very favorable. The filet mignon was good just with the smallest of sides. Green beans. We just had more bad service. Water glasses were never refilled without being asked for. No spoon for stew until I asked. Just felt ignored. And experience wasn’t enjoyable.

Absolutely wonderful. My wife and I ate here on a date night and we were so impressed with the food and service. From what I could tell, they were a bit understaffed, and somehow I never had to wait on anything, or was needing a refill of water- and I was not bugged to much by the waiter. It was just the right amount of perfect all around. Well done Mantel, you will see us again! As for more specifics! I ordered the ribeye and my wife had the NY strip special that night. Sure it was a bit in the pricey side, but just a look at the menu will tell you that. We had a Bordeaux wine blend which paired wonderfully with our meals. We couldn’t order dessert because we were so full, but they seemed to have a wonderful selection of cognac (to which I am partial), after dinner cocktails and a few desserts which looked lovely to those of us who weren’t stuffed. Anyways, if you can spare the money, I HIGLY recommend this place. My steak was so good ALL of the way through. Happy dining! Only thing I would say to caution anyone is that the place can get a tad bit loud when it gets full. The tables are a tad bit close together, but I felt like my wife and I had plenty of privacy.

Went here for lunch today. It was off hours so very quiet and fast service. Dillon was our server and he was very attentive. Food was delicious as well. My fiancée and I shared the crab cakes which had a nice crunch and plenty of crab in it which was nice as the price was a little heavy at ($15) the loads of crab in it made it worth it though. I then had the cold smoked salmon grilled cheese ($10). The only complaint I could have about that was that there didn't seem to be much cheese. It may be better marketed as something other than grilled cheese. That's not to say it wasn't very tasty though, salmon was cooked very well and everything on the sandwich complimented it perfectly. My fiancée had the spinach salad ($7). The pomegranate vinaigrette was delicious with the spinach, goat cheese, and prosciutto. Very tasty. I had a peak at the dinner menu as well and it looked delicious. I wish I would have the chance to try their dinner but I'm from Indiana and don't have time to make it back. Being marketed as a wine bar they certainly lived up to it with many options by the glass and many more by the bottle. My fiancée had two glasses of sauvignon blanc through the meal and I had a cabernet franc. I did have a look at the cocktail menu which seemed interesting, but with the plethora of wine to choose from we decided to go with the wine. I'd like to give 5 stars but there were a few things that stood out as being just short of absolutely fantastic. The paper table tops seemed a little off from how the rest of the restaurant presented itself, the menus definitely need a good wipe down, and my "grilled cheese" wasn't very cheesy. To sum everything up, if I can to town again I would absolutely visit again. I am very interested in trying dinner, the duck looked like it would be delicious. As well as some of their steak options. Well done to everyone involved at The Mantel.

Solid food and service, just does not quiet match the price point. Service was great. Big disappointment was mixed drinks. Tried a mojito and a gimlet and both were poorly made. The spinach salad was good and the goat cheese divine. Had the seared tuna and it was solid. The service seemed to border between not rushed and slow.

Went to this restaurant with my wife for dinner. They said they were pretty busy but could get us in. There was literally only two couples in the whole places. Took over 10 mins just to get water. The table behind us with no one sitting at it actually got delivered water and bread for a party that didn’t arrive for 10 mins later. When the waiter came in he was slamming a glass of wine before finally coming to our table. Horrible service. After 15 mins no specials read and finally getting water we decided to leave. Don’t waste your time at this place like we did.
