Issues getting the storm shelter installed. First I would like to start by saying the staff was super friendly when we went in to buy the storm shelter and they had the best price we could find. Unfortunately, the good experience ended there. I asked them if they could install it on the weekend seeing how it is hard to get time off work, they said no because weekends are reserved for rescheduling due to bad weather. So I got my boss to let me go in the morning when they were supposed to show up before 11am. I called them around 9am because I never got a confirmation the day before like I was supposed to. They said they were running into issues at their first house but should be at my house between 12 - 2pm and they will let me know if they can't make it. So I call my boss to inform him I will not be making it in to work. 2pm comes no workers show up and I get no call saying they weren't going to make it. I had to call again just for them to inform me they weren't coming, lucky they said I could do it on Saturday. That brings me to today (Saturday) I woke up at 630am to wait for them to show up. 715am I get a call saying they weren't coming due to the weather. So yet again we are having to reschedule. I am having surgery on Monday and will have the next 2 days off work to recover. I asked if they could make it during one of those 2 days they said they will... I guess I will see if they actually show up this time. What started out as a good experience quickly turned into a pain in my butt.

Amazing work my shelter was installed by DC and Jaime and they did great. My son made a wooden gate for the dogs to be all together instead in different cages. He also made extra benches so they are double wide. My suggestion is to get extra fan and light maybe 2 or 3 for a medium size. It is so easy having it in the garage. There is no need to go out into the wind, rain, it hail. Plus you can still hear the tv or radio to know when it is safe to come out. Great company and amazing people.

Strom Safe has gone above and beyond to help me with my new shelter. I am extremely happy with this place and I would absolutely recommend this to everyone without hesitation! Storm Safe employees were very respectful and professional. I have not had any issues with this company since they have installed my storm shelter in 2014. Every issue that has arose with the shelter has been addressed quickly and effectively. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Not super happy that we used this company. Nice people but they seemed to be in a big rush. They only took two hours from start to finish to install our shelter. They contract out to a post-tension company who came and did the post tension work on that same day. After the shelter was installed I noticed we already had a crack in our slab..... I was not happy. We called storm safe and they said we signed a waver that relieves them of any responsibility for the crack. Very disappointed. I wish I had gone with a company that used a more reputable post tension company. Also I thought that the slab looked very sloppy and damaged all around the shelter and it really bothers me. I like things to look seamless and I was very surprised that they thought it was acceptable to leave the edges looking so ratty. See pictures. They also left a lot of gravel etc in our lawn which they refunded us 50 bucks for that mess. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because we did get a shelter. But I'm not happy and I regret using this company.

I am a Superintendent for a custom home builder. Storm Safe Tornado Shelters installs shelters for us periodically. Every experience thus far has met with excellent results! They are always on time to the job site, quick and efficient, and do a great job cleaning up when they're done. I highly recommend Storm Safe Tornado Shelters!!!

There were a few installation issues because mine was installed in the driveway, under a carport. However, Jason followed up on every detail and made sure corrections were done and I was completely satisfied. In the end, it was a nice, neat installation, and most importantly, I have a good quality tornado shelter within easy access of my front door. You can't ask for more than that.

The process and scheduling was painless. The crew (Billy and Luis) arrived on time. It was obvious watching them that they had a lot of experience. I have been in and around construction most of my life and I was impressed by how quickly and efficiently they worked. No leaning on shovels for this crew. They were always one step ahead of each other and still took care to do good work. Thank you.

Storm safe cancelled two consecutive installation dates due to not having the personnel to accomplish the task. Each time the task was scheduled over three weeks in advance. After this they kept my deposit when I cancelled and went with another vendor. They didn't perform per the contract. Go elsewhere.

The staff, from beginning to end, was extremely helpful! Val helped me pick out the shelter, she was super nice and made sure I got a shelter big enough for my family. I could tell she really cared about our safety. The crew that installed the shelter, I think his name was DC, were very friendly and fast, they were done before lunch! When they were done installing the shelter my garage and driveway were cleaner than when they started. Having a tornado shelter is like having car or homeowner insurance, you pray you never need it but are very thankful if you do. Storm season is much easier to get through knowing that my family has a safe place to go if there is a tornado threat.

Thank you very much for everything you all have done for us Storm Safe Inground Tornado Shelters. Everything from getting in contact, questions getting immediate answers, all of my fears being dealt with, I'm glad I chose this company with my family's safety. The job today was professionally done, the crew did a fantastic job from start to finish, cleaned everything, and even made sure my husband's bike was protected. Everyone was an absolute pleasure to work with. Five stars, HIGHLY recommended!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We had a shelter installed in May and the day of the install we had a large crack in our slab right next to the shelter. Storm safe contracted a company to cut our post tension cables and apparently they did a bad job! According to StressCon, which is a very reputable company in Ok......cutting the post tension cables and installing the shelter in one day is NOT ok for your foundation! The crack continues to get larger and Storm safe told us back when we first noticed the crack that they were not responsible since we signed a waver allowing the post tension company to do their work. I think Storm safe Owes us a full refund because we are now paying for our slab to be assessed by a structural engineer. I am not happy at all.

We got one of the shelter that go in your garage. Them came out last spring and installed it. The guys that installed it were great and had it done in no time. The process was easy and made the whole thing great. We feel so much more safer now that we have a place to go if a tornado comes. Thanks Storm Safe

We had the best experience with this company! We have an on top of the ground shelter in our garage which is wonderful because my son is handicapped and can't get into the ones that are below the ground. After losing our home in the May 2013 tornado we feel very safe and secure with our choice and the wonderful customer service we received. Val has always been very helpful and friendly!

I had my storm shelter in on the 28th of last month at that time I was told that the door hardware had not came in and that i would be getting a call. I did not get a call so I call them 2 weeks later they informed me that the door hardware has still not made it in yet and that they would call me. I waited anther 2 week and called them again. They had the hardware and could install it a few days later Mario showed up to do the install their was a little problem with the door not opening all the way up he handled that on the spot. Him and his helper get 5 stars. But my over all experience was less then to be desired and very poor communication skills. Well none at all I had to call them. After looking at the storm shelter I noticed in the picture how bad the finish was they tried to cover the bad spots in the concrete the steps where chipped also. I guess paying 2500 dollars is not enough to get a nice product Or they just don't care one of the two. I tend to think the latter of the two. I would not recommend them.

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. After our shelter was installed, we noticed there was a small mistake that prohibited the ladder from being stored where it was supposed to be stored. I contacted Corey Martin through email, which is how we were communicating throughout this entire process, to set-up a time for an installer to come back out and make the repair. He wrote back saying that he scheduled an installer to come back on X date and time and didn't ask if that date/time worked for us or if we would even be home to let the installer in. I emailed him back and told him that neither me nor my husband would be home then and that I needed to rescheduled. He didn't respond. I wrote to him again. No response. I wrote him again. No response. Then, when that date/time rolled around, I get a phone call from the installer saying he was at my house. My husband was at work and I was in a mandatory class. I was not able to return the installer's call due to being in class so I emailed my husband and asked him to call this installer now because he is at our house right now and I can't talk on the phone. My husband calls him and ends up giving him our garage code, to get into our garage (and subsequently gave him access to our home) without either of us being present. He did that so as to not inconvenience the installer, that was a nice thing for my husband to do. However, I think it's unacceptable to not respond to your CUSTOMER's multiple emails. We always communicated through email, because it's very difficult for me to make phone calls during the day due to my schedule. And no, he was not on vacation. I confirmed with Val that he was in the office after the time I emailed him.
