Had a great time at Elk Valley! Great selection of beer and an awesome patio with superb people watching views. The staff was very nice and helpful and the Brewery was immaculate. I love the location because it’s walking distance to everything in Midtown! Will definitely be returning in the near future!

While brewery hopping with my husband a few weekends ago we stopped in here for a quick beer and to check the place out. I wasn’t a fan of the beers we had but I could have overlooked that if it wouldn’t have been for the awful attitudes of the two girls working that day. I’m not sure if we just caught them on a bad day but neither of them seemed like they wanted to be there, much less be there working with one another. I would generally give a place a second try but this won’t be that place.

A beer to please everyone at this convenient Midtown Brewery. The new digs don’t hurt— a minimalist black and white interior accented with bright pops of color that mirror their can designs provides a fun backdrop for socializing with friends. It is sure to be a hot spot this summer when the temps finally reach that upper 90s arc and only a cool beer will satisfy the senses. I had the cucumber saison on a foggy Oklahoma winter day and left pleased. Would recommend as it complements the growing Oklahoma brewery scene.

RUDEST brewery in OKC!!! Service was the WORST!! I have heard people raving about the product, but was warned that the service is terrible. With this in mind, I went to the brewery tonight to pick up beers to-go. I walked up to the register, explained that I wanted to buy some beer to go, and sample a few. Hoping that I would be told whether or not I needed to sit at the bar for samples, or if standing at the register counter would be okay for sampling, I received a smirk as the staff member pointed my attention to the wall menu. Trying to recover the so far unsettling experience, I asked "what can you tell me about" the two beers I was wanting to sample, and received a non-helpful response of that one is "year round and available to go" and the other one is "seasonal and is not available to go." (WHAT? I was expecting a flavor description.) After two quick samples, I placed my order to go. However, since I could not see the to-go products I was confused on the quantity of my purchase -- 4 pack, 6 pack, large bottle. When I asked for clarification, the staff member gave me an annoyed explanation. While I know there is a big following for Elk Valley Brewing (yes, the BEER IS GREAT), and that there are successful microbreweries in the US who have a reputation for a great product and terrible service, this brewery is too new for that level of arrogance.

With a handful of tap rooms from local brewery growing in midtown & downtown area, Elk Valley with her roof top space is a must-visit when you are in the neighborhood. It may look small from the street but with large glass windows letting in lots of daylight, the space feels open and welcoming. There is also a fairly large gravel parking lot next to the building. I personally like the graphical artwork that flows from wall murals to the tap handles that ties in the look-&-feel of Elk Valley's brand. The staff was able to explain clearly the offering base on customers' preference and having the choice of a 4 oz taster is always a great way to sample a wide selection without breaking the bank (or getting too intoxicated). Being a fan of sour ales, their choice of Apricot Le Ferme (a farmhouse ale aged in Chardonnay barrel and apricot) and Cucumber Saison did not disappoint. The former has a nice fruity note while the latter offers a refreshing effervescent mouth-feel. Looking forward to returning to Elk Valley and enjoying the roof top space (when it's not too hot) over some good conversations and well-crafted beers.

Excellent brews here, definitely something for everyone. Their beers cover a wide range of styles while also making each one their own. They are adventurous with their beer recipes and it really pays off, it doesn't feel gimmicky or overdone, some beers I thought would be strange ended up being very well-balanced between the modern standard and a unique twist that anyone who likes fresh ideas will enjoy. The atmosphere mirrors the beer description- a familiar looking modern style with a pleasing twist. Great and staff very friendly and helpful.

I am kind of surprised by all the rave reviews (and suspicious of the spammy ones with no words on them). I tried several beers and wasn't really impressed. I prefer Prairie, Anthem, Twisted spike, or Coop.

John is a great guy and has NEVER kicked out a beer that I thought was below a B. If you're in the OKC area, it's definitely worth a trip to the Brewers Union to give Elk Valley, Vanessa House AND Angry Scotsman a shot. Cheers!

Tap room is in a great location. Rooftop is lower but provides a fun perspective on the area. Away from a lot of the main roads so the outdoor space is great for hanging out and chatting with friends. Fun, seasonal beer options alongside their standard go-tos. Streamlined ordering and tapping process with the use of updated tech. Nice staff that checks in, grabs glassware, etc. Great vibe inside and outside-love the tile feel to the place.

The beer was really good and the service was pleasant. However, I went back to purchase 4 stickers and it cost me $14. When I seemed surprised, the response was, "Well, yeah". I visit lots of local breweries on my travels and I've never paid more than a buck, maybe 2 for stickers. These go on my suitcase as a conversation starter and to provide other travelers with local tip . I'm all for supporting these local breweries, but that seemed excessive. I'll go back for the beer, but not the stickers. Now I'm having buyer's remorse.

Great taproom, Brewers Union, it's not actually elk valley, although it does sell Elk Valley, Vanessa House Beer Co. and Angry Scotsman beer. Great place to try local craft beers.
