It was a great time! The owner was very knowledgeable and showed me and my girlfriend a great time at our first winery experience. The garlic spread was our favorites on the cheese platter, so try to ask for more of that if you order it. Very yummy/10

Visited the winery Sunday may 20th by accidental passing. Wonderful place, had a great little tasting. Great folks at the winery, went home with two cases. Enjoyed our own tasting at home sunday evening. As a small business owner I can appreciate their hard work and efforts. We will be back, probably with some friends in tow. Great place to enjoy a fanastic wine. Keep up the good work

Awesome Experience. Owners are wonderful people and selection is top notch, they have wine for every preference. All of this is back dropped beautifully against rolling vineyards and a charming clubhouse combined with an extremely comfortable arrangement of seating both indoor and outdoor. The view from the deck is great, overlooking rolling hills and a pond. Seriously well done establishment that more people should know about.

Nice, organized and beautiful winery I have seen till now,,, foods are good and surrounding environment will blow your mind. we went there at the afternoon and place was totally full with customers. I have seen row of grapes first time ever. Visiting there was a good experience I think.

Wines are great. On the drier side but still enjoyable for those who like sweeter wines - very clean on the palate. Owners were a pleasure to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. Great view. Tasting room nicely done and the outdoor area would have been perfect for bring in picnic food. Olive small plate was awesome. Would highly recommend this place!!

This place is really a little gem that more people should know about! We tasted about eight wines at the tasting bar while our teenagers had cheese and crackers at a table; we ordered glasses of the (very good!) wine we liked best, with (amazing) smoked salmon and crackers to share. The tasting room includes about 7 tables with chairs, plus a coffee table and comfy chairs in front of a gas-log fireplace. There's a large deck for soaking up the beautiful view, but it was too cold when we visited to sit outside. While we were there, a happy party of 7 adults and several children arrived with loaded picnic baskets; the owners pushed two tables together for them. We'll be making this winery a part of every trip to Athens or the Hocking Hills; in warmer times of the year you can use a lawn that slopes down to a small pond, with picnic tables and gas grills -- it will be easy to talk the kids into a picnic here on the way home when we come to Athens in the summer!

Very friendly owners. Been going here for a few years and they never disappoint. You can sample or buy wine by the bottle. They have beautiful grounds and free grills to use. They also sell local snacks.. meats, cheeses, etc

Was driving back home from the South and spotted this place on Google Maps. Thought it would be cool to get my wife a celebratory bottle of wine for after she has our second child next month. It is a very nice spot not too far off the highway. I didn't dine but the outdoor seating seemed very nice. The owner was very helpful and nice!

Great place. Wines are great. Food is via a different vendor the food is also great, the burgers was wonderful. Service was very good. Parking has some issues to be addressed. I would definitely recommend stopping here, particularly if you want to include a meal with your visit.

We've been going here for a long time, since right around when they opened. Neal and Oui are absolutely fantastic and so welcoming. At this point they know exactly what I will like and have samples practically waiting for me by the time I reach the front door. They have such a great variety and you can't beat the atmosphere. We always brings friends to Shade whenever we are remotely close to this winery. Love it!

My wife and I saw their sign on 33 and decided to check it out. WOW, what a pleasant surprise! Neal and Oui were incredible hosts, the wines were far better than most that we've had at other Ohio wineries, and the setting was beautiful! We had a wonderful experience and will be returning! A gem!
