If you know anything about wine. If you like Chardonnay. This is the place. The wines here are more like European wines. I have stopped buying California Chardonnay. These people are serious about wine.

Love this winery. Feels like right out of Italy. Great wine, great service and great food. Homemade cheesecake is excellent. Awesome quiet outdoor area to relax and drink your wine. Enough space for a family to enjoy.

Amber Hughes

Great place for small gatherings. Wine was fantastic and their pizzas are unique. Defit recommend!

Gorgeous grounds! All estate Ohio wines. Enjoyed our tasting and cheeses. A different kind of winery in a good way. They put much effort into creating a great bottle of Ohio wine and it shows We took several bottles hone as the wines are small vintages and sell out quickly

We stopped early Sunday evening and we were delighted at the ambiance, food offerings and the positive attitude of all staff members. The white wines were of excellent quality, better by far, than the other local wineries. It was a lovely respite, amid flowers and French atmosphere, away from the chaos of daily life.

My favorite winery. Small, quaint and romantic. It is beautiful inside and out. The grounds are gorgeous. The winter it's nice and cozy with a large fireplace, the summer offers plenty of seating outside. Not a large menu but great food to enjoy with a bottle of exceptional wine. Make sure to say hello to Toby and Matilda. ( The sweet doggies)

The atmosphere is nice outside of the dogs who crawl all over the tables in the lobby and who were mysteriously wet on a pretty dry night. The wine is super over-priced at $22 a bottle, the highest price I've seen in the area for a bottle. The wine itself was decent, but with so many other good local wineries, I won't go back to this one.

If you are in Geneva going to wineries, this is a must visit. My wife and I went to a couple of wineries today and this one was the best. We both like dry rather than sweet wines and their whites were truly outstanding. We had tried two chardonnays, a pinot gris, a rose, a mixed red, and a pinot noir. The whites were outstanding as was the rose. I'm not just saying outstanding for an Ohio wine, I'm saying outstanding compared to other wines that I've had. I felt that while the reds were very good wines, they weren't on the same level as the whites (they did have a pinot noir reserve that was not available for tasting.) The tasters were $1 for one ounce of wine. We did not have any food. The server was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. However, another woman, who seemed to be the owner was gruff. But that's OK, because the wine was so great and the atmosphere outside was so serene. We really enjoyed ourselves. If you only like very sweet wines, you may want to skip this winery. If others are dragging you, try the rose. Also if you hate dogs, there are small dogs loose on the premise. They were well behaved and we found them amusing. Edit: Came back on a Saturday evening. They stop tasting after 6:00. We had a couple of glasses of wine and a cheese plate and listened to some music. It's a great place in the Summer at night. Try the Gewurztraminer if you like dry Reislings. Also, went to St. Joseph Vineyard to try their world class Pinot Noir and I must say that if you like Pinot Noir, also try the ones from Harpersfield. I'm just not a huge fan of them.

The place is smallish and cozy. They have a nice fireplace. There was a band but it wasn't overly loud. Good wines, tasty food. We will be back.

(Translated by Google) It is a winery located about an hour's drive from the center of Cleveland, a healthy dog from the winery running on the grass, having a live band playing, and having a good time playing wine. , Pinot Noir, etc. Well, if you are a wine taste from Cleveland ..... 。。。

Owner was rude and not accommodating at all. Very unprofessional told a group of 15 people they closed the kitchen early by 10 mins because they weren't busy! Go to Ferrantes winery ! Not accommodating to big groups!

Update to reflect date of most recent visit. Continues to be great after most recent visit 6/15/19. Small selection and a small winery, but that small selection is high quality and very tasty! Nice and quaint inside with the dogs and fireplace, but a great patio for live music in the summer. We always enjoy a picnic table under the trees in the summer to enjoy the music and keep cool. Very fun yet relaxing atmosphere.

Nice seating outdoors and indoors, and awesome food that is plated perfectly. Wish there was more options for non-alcohol, there is not a lot of options for to drink.

Fun stop on a winery tour! Good wine selection and great ambience! The menu is limited but we loved everything we had. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Last night was our 1st & last visit to this winery. It took over an hour to get our appetizers, and 2 hours to get the rest of our order. They closed the kitchen early because they couldn't keep up. The people that came after were out of luck if they planned to eat dinner there. Also don't count on the web site to decide what you want to eat because many of the items were not available. If you are going to have a business you need to employ enough staff to serve your customers!! Thankfully there are many wineries in the area that know how to keep their customers coming back. This is NOT one of them!!

Love Harpersfield! One of my favorite locations to chill with a bottle of wine by the fireplace during fall/winter and outside on the patio during the summer. The small acts they have are fun and entertaining. Wine Stewart's are always friendly and accommodating to customers. Wine and food offerings are just right and provide guests good options (Veggie pizza was awesome!). The ambiance is quaint and reminds me of a small French countryside home ... fun place and recommended for anyone. Dogs add a great touch too ... they entertain and great everyone like a long lost friend!

The wine was good, a little expensive. Went to see a band, not to just drink wine. If you are not a drinker this not the place to go for entertainment. Wine, water and lemonade are the only choices. And don't even think about brining your own drinks or snacks! The Nazis will find you.

Excellent as always

Nice secluded little winery..

This place is great - live music was playing on a Saturday afternoon. The cheese plate was to die for and they had a wonderful variety of estate wines they make.

Very nice backyard! Always a great place to sit down with a bottle of wine. Thanks

Adolf is always happy to watch people enjoy his wines. The food is limited, but pairs nicely with his collection. The live bands make it a treat to sit back and watch. In winter, they have a large fireplace to keep you warm. He reminds people to not feed the dogs scraps, they are well fed :)

Max Powers

Mainly dry wine, and made only with their own ingredients. No real food selection here.

This winery charges $2 PER taste!! I don't know how they sell any wines doing this. This is my third time here and the charge per taste is new. I will not be coming back. Even in California where I am EVERY YEAR it is $5 to taste ALL wines they carry. Skip this place, not worth the money.

What a great winery, the people are so nice and the place has such a warm feeling about it and a beautiful outside siting area, the wine is very good and they have great food as well, it is a must to stop if your in the area

Chris Salzer

Great place, nice people, good wine. Rather do this than that place down the street with the overly sweet wine!

D M

Good wines. Great building and outdoor space. Staff is small but good. This is the place if you want to kick back and sip some wine and talk.

Beau Busdicker

This winery was recommended by staff at Debonne, and I was very glad they did. Upon arriving at Harpersfield, you drive through their vineyard back to the winery, feeling as if you have left Ohio and have entered Europe. The winery has European cottage vibes, making for a beautiful and unique winery and grounds. The overall atmosphere was very laid-back and relaxing. For it being the last stop of the day, I only tried their Le Jacques Terrier (Riesling) and Gewurztraminer. Their Gewurzt. was one of my favorite wines of the day. They offer dry to semi-dry wines. I will definitely be back to visit!

Tom Gannon

We felt that we were back in France. The wine was very good, the atmosphere was "old world" charming and the staff was knowledgeable.

Mike Link

Great Estate wines, wonderful food, and beautiful grounds.

Sandy I.

Not a pleasant atmosphere, the owner(?) - woman with black hair is rude...wine is so so. I believe the owner drinks and it shows... she's confrontational, not nice. So many other wineries to enjoy.. pass this one.

Barathum Stun

Outside music is way too loud, unable to hold conversations without shouting across the table . have to sit far away from best sitting area

Vinny Purtle

The perfect ambience! Our friends and I loved this winery during our stop along 5 local wineries. Their dogs were so friendly and cute too. Definitely one of our favorites.
