I know nothing of wine and I wanted to get a few bottles for my wife. The great staff at Short Walk guided me through each selection. My wife was very happy with the wines I brought home. The place has a welcoming feel and they know exactly how to help you select what you will like the best. I will definitely return.

Want to drink some wine served by 3 Michelin Star chef Massimo Bottura? They've got that. Need recommendations on a wine to improve your average cooking abilities? They've got that. Have a wine snob friend who "just simply can't drink 14 hands" ? They've got a bottle for them, too. Staff is extremely helpful in navigating the selection; the stock has been obviously well-curated by the owner. This store will quickly become short-hand for "The Best Wine" in Raleigh.

In an ever growing wine shop scene in the Triangle, Short Walk stands out among all of them. As a person who likes wine, but doesn't "know" wines very well, their staff is so helpful when navigating all the different wine choices out there. I've given them a rudimentary taste profile, and they were able to give spot-on recommendations. Most importantly, they care about their customers and are as friendly and helpful as they come.

Short Walk is as good as it gets! We are frequent customers there, visiting a few times per week. It's the perfect spot to pick up a weekday dinner wine or a special occasion stunner. They also offer free tastings on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a variety of wine classes throughout the month. My husband and I did one on Spanish wines a couple of months ago and it was wonderful! Besides the amazing selection of wines, the staff at Short Walk is THE BEST! They're always so helpful, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Whether we're picking one of our favorites or trying something new that they recommend, we really look forward to visiting every time. Short Walk truly defies the snobby, overpriced wine shop stereotype and we find ourselves telling everyone about it. If you haven't been, run on over and see what they've got for you! I promise you won't be disappointed!
