You love beer and wine. Guess what, these folks love beer and wine too. They're also extremely knowledgeable and have offered some stellar recommendations. A great spot for nabbing some obscure brews as well as North Carolina favorites. A must visit in the High Country.

I have been here several times. They have a fantastic selection of craft beers and wine that you won't find in grocery stores. Most recently I went to purchase wine for a family gathering over the holidays. I am not much of a wine drinker and asked the staff to help pick out a few bottles of several wine varieties. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, and very friendly and professional. Furthermore my relatives loved the staff's selections. Wine and beer enthusiasts absolutely must stop by Peabody's.

We have lived in Boone for 15 years and have bought many bottles of wine at Peabody’s. My husband’s company who have 270 rental homes recommends Peabody’s to guests. We send all our friends there when the come in town. Today I go in and ask for 4-6 boxes. The man was the rudest person I ever encountered and I guess it was because I was not buying wine today. No more recommendations with the company or to anyone else. Very sad!

This place was a life saver for me. We were in Boone to attend a close friends wedding, and they really wanted a bottle of Fox Hill Honey Meade. After failing to fins something back home in Fayetteville, we gave these guys a shot, with the wedding only hours away. BOOM- they had exactly what we wanted, plus some other awesome variations on Meade. The staff was super nice and helpful, and the store has a great atmosphere and selection. I regret that it's three hours away from Fayetteville. Even when there was a burp in the computer system with my debit card, this place was extremely helpful and happy to fix it. You can't go wrong with a business like this. I'll be back for more Meade the next time I'm in Boone. Highly recommend Peabodys. :)

Stopped in on Saturday. The wine tasting was interesting. The lady didn't want to be there, chose not to open wine for tasting when she ran out on tasting glass 3 of 6, and didn't really know anything about the grapes, region or vitner being tasted.. disappointed.

An outstanding place to get craft beer or wine. They have all the hard to find stuff as well as aged versions of some beers. The staff are always friendly and they will take great care of you here. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else in the high country for craft beer.

Don't wait around for something special, they will get it and then not sell it to you! Called a couple days ago, was told NO RESERVATIONS. Was there when the truck arrived and then was told it was all reserved. Waited in the parking lot for an hour, talked to the guys several times, was told how many of each I could buy (2-1-1). Was never once told they wouldn't sell me any until the truck arrived! No reservations, but their all reserved! What a waste of an afternoon. Won't ever be back and will make sure everyone I know never shops there again!

I have never rented a keg before, and the guys at Peabody's helped with this and didn't make me feel stupid. The prices are great and they helped load the keg up and didn't seem bothered by any of it. Also, they have a dog that walks around the store that is super nice!
