This is the best winery I’ve visited in NC, and in my top 5 anywhere. Best NC wine by far. Excellent staff and grounds. Was a great day date with my wife.

Helen Joseph

We had a great visit with the wine tasting and lunch afterwards. I don't usually like red wine but the Pilot Fog changed all that.Excellent. We will be going back.

Evan Brown

Though there were only two other couples at the bar it took over 15 minutes for the servers to get us setup at the bar for a tasting. We even had three people come over and tell us it would be just a moment., which would seem to indicate that everyone knew we were waiting. Two of the young ladies seemed to be fighting right in front of us with one of them a newbie and even rolled her eyes at her supervisor. Slightly awkward for us. The wines were very good and the tasting worthwhile, but for the area I thought $15 for a tasting is a little heavy. The bottles were all around $25 - $30, which was also steep compared to neighboring wineries. It was a fine experience, but nothing I would run back for.

Norbert

The place is nice. The wine testing is expensive and wines are not too good, but really expensive

wendy comper

Just love Holo no matter how busy they are they take the time to make sure you ate happy

Von J

My husband and I have visited 87 of the 150+ wineries / vineyards in North Carolina and Jolo is the best hands down. They don't have a single wine that I don't like. The service is great. The restaurant is fabulous. The view from the patio is tranquil. Jolo is my happy place!

Karen Funk

Awesome time....beautiful grounds! Wine tasting was stupendous! Recommend stopping for a visit and taking home a bottle or two...or three!

Joe Hood

Music was good, wine was ok but "YOU" are not a priority

Ruthann Sabon-Blackmer

Very expensive. The do serve food with a glass or a bottle of wine. Don't go on weekends. Small tasting area was very loud.

Lisa Frisk

Came to Jolo Winery with a few girlfriends. Had some wine and lunch. Waiter was young, friendly and very professional. The entire staff was very knowledgeable about their wines and their menu. Had a very good time.

Jeff Prince

We were visiting NC and this was a spur of the moment stop. We did the wine tasting . Our presenter was very knowledgeable and friendly. I loved every single wine. We bought several bottles. We would do this again.

Pamela Monds

The grounds are beautiful, the staff are knowledgeable, and the wine is unique. You can't go wrong with the membership program!

Jane Litzinger

Great food, friendly staff, very good wine, beautiful setting, close to Winston Salem! Thanks for a great Saturday treat!

steven toth

The wine tasting was disappointing because some of the wine we tried, and liked, could not be purchased without joining their wine club. But you are told that until AFTER the tasting. So if you go there ask first which wines are available without having to to sign up for the wine club.

Kaye Copelan

Very pricey tasting fee of $15 and you don't even get to keep your glass:( Wine is pretty pricey too compared to other wineries in the area. Nice venue though!

amogh zadbuke

We stopped and the drive in was so beautiful. The vines are so nicely done. The view of the mountains are breathtaking. Walked into the winery and was greeted. The explained the wine tastings is $15 per person. You try 6 dry wines and one sweet. Music to my ears. We shared a tasting of the $15 choice. The wine is from $20-$39 a bottle. If you're a wine drinker and really appreciate a good wine then you will not have a problem with this.

Bryan Tomilson

Great food, great wine, awesome experience. The jolotage is the one that got me.

Toni Morgan

The food, service, and wine were all amazing! It was my first visit but most certainly won't be my last!

Ashley Branch

It was lovely. I bought a case of wine and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

mrbigdom61

Good wine and delicious food accompanied by attentive service. The views are beautiful. Allow time for tasting, eating and relaxing indoors and outdoors.

Donald Gmazel

What a great place!! Staff very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with!! Loved it!!

just me

This is a lovely winery with excellent views, great customer service, and good food. The entertainment was a nice touch as well. We will be back!

Julia Cable

What a wonderful place! JW was so friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are uniquely high quality not just for North Carolina wine but for all wine. The Pilot Fog was a group favorite. I loved watching food being prepared right in front of us. Gave me a lot to look forward to at lunch. We had the bacon deviled eggs, pork tacos and carrot cake bites! It was all sumptuous. Day was made perfect by enjoying our lunch outside on a beautiful spring day with that amazing view! An absolute must for a North Carolina wine trip

Stopped at JOLO on 08/31/17 on the recommendation of several friends while doing a Yadkin Valley tasting tour. We found the winery to be quaint and welcoming. The servers were very nice, as was the owner, who introduced himself and made us welcome. But the real stars of the show were the wines. Fantastic. My wife and I have been to Napa/Sonoma several times, and we both agreed that you could drop this winery into Northern California and it could hold its own with any of the others there. From the tasting bar, you can watch some of the food preparation. It looked great, but our schedule didn't permit us to dine there. But we will on our next visit!

Christopher Gleason

When you think of NC wine you normally think of super sweet muscadine wine. This is nothing like that. Excellent wines with complexity and depth of flavor. Greatly enjoyed it.

Tabitha Holbrook

First and last visit here! Called ahead for seating, drove 45 miles, arrived to find out they were full. Hostess says yeah you can have a table that’s already reserved until we find you another. No other table was offered we were stressed and rushed. We had 45 minutes total at the table. Price was 109.00 !! Tried speaking to general manager prior to leaving but she seemed preoccupied. Don’t trust them for a relaxing Mother’s Day!

Donna Poff

Love JOLO Vineyards, we have been there 2 times now. The food and wine is great. The staff at JOLO is wonderful. So much fun. Can't wait to go back. I would definitely recommend JOLO!!

Brent Morris

Beautiful and amazing food!

Peggy Simm

Not enough parking, too crowded.

Rachel Shrum

JOLO is one of our favorite spots! The wine is amazing! From the friendly atmosphere to the beautiful view, it's a place to come and spend the afternoon with friends or that special someone! We recommend JOLO to anyone looking a great wines!!

Sharon Francis

So much fun at my favorite winery. Loved seeing all my friends & always a pleasant day with JW and staff

Midge Smyth

We had such a wonderful time at Jolo. The Owners & Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The wines and food are excellent!

Hal Garrison

Beautiful setting, delicious food in a great onsite restaurant. Beautiful view from outside seating when weather permits.

Tanner Hairford

Super nice establishment. Wine is excellent as well

Clark McChesney

Great wine tasting at JOLO this afternoon. Wonderful people and great wines. Excellent view of Pilot Mountain from their beautiful location. A must visit if you are near Pilot Mtn or Mt Airy.

Amanda Justus

Best vineyard by far to go to for a relaxing and fun time with friends and family! Great atmosphere and beautiful venue. There is a nice selection of wines that will appeal to all people. The food choices were amazing and it was nice to see the chefs preparing food as we did our wine tasting. This was a last minute stop for us that we just came across on our way through and we were not disappointed. We were given the best experience and treated extremely well. We will definitely be coming back.

Philip King

Words can’t adequately describe the experience that awaits you at JOLO vineyards. Enjoy a tasting with Hanna who will tell you about each wine and how it was made but also all about the grapes that were used and their history. Retire to the patio for a delicious lunch from the on-site restaurant, End Posts. Everything on the menu is delicious. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Keep an eye out for the owners who spend a significant amount of time working alongside the rest of the staff. They are some of the nicest and down-to-earth people we have had the pleasure of meeting.

Stephen Burgess

Awesome experience. Celebrated our 19th anniversary here. Highly recommended.

Robin Cook

These wines just keep getting better and better. The location is gorgeous with a view of Pilot Mountain that can only be truly appreciated by seeing it for yourself. Owners JW and Kristen Ray are so hospitable and the staff is always top notch and excel in their abilities to make one feel special. I love spending time there. The parties for wine club members and their guests, and Sunday afternoons enjoying live music while sipping your favorite wine of that day are always a pleasure. If you don't visit and try their delightful selection of wines, as well as great food, it's surely your loss.

Cheryl Lauer

Wine was $39 and had tartrates in it. You also felt less important if you were not a Wine Club Member. Then we had some dessert snacks with our wine and was told "people were complaining" and so we left. Did not feel welcome. I guess we weren't the elite crowd they cultivate.

Joel Shepard

Wonderful wine; great setting and dynamic owners- a true 5 star experience!

Carol Ann North

It was a great experience. A wonderful gal, I believe her name was Simra was very informative. I bought several wines to bring back home with me to Long Beach, Mississippi. My sister-in-law Veronica Berstler became a member and I know she is excited. We stayed for lunch which was fabulous. Thanks, Carol Ann North

Dave Gunnels

Excellent wine, amazing setting and very friendly personnel. I will return soon.

ANGIE Gibbons

It was fabulous! We celebrated our birthdays. We had wine with lunch and enjoyed the music. The scenery was beautiful -- so relaxing.

J'nette B

Excellent wine, wonderful ambiance. Only suggestion is not to bash other wineries.

Bill Tice

Amazing food and wine, the bar has been set high by Jolo for quality wine in North Carolina. The owners are hospitable and genuinely work hard to give their guests a fantastic experience. A must stop for any wine enthusiast.

John Slis

Great place to eat, taste wine or just sip wine and relax. Great staff. Great view. Great atmosphere

Wesley Willeford

Crazy good wine. I am not even a wine person, and I was in love with their offerings. Waaaaaaaaaay better than other NC offerings. Awesome space to be with friends and loved ones. I cannot recommend it enough!

Vivian

Gorgeous location with incredible views! My friends and I visit a new vineyard annually and Jolo was this year's location. When we arrived it was VERY busy, we were seated 20 after our reservation time of 2pm and were told that we had to be up by 3 because they had another event in that same room. We, a group of 9, were a little upset because we weren't told this over the phone or we would have planned to go somewhere else. We were later told that we could continue sitting until 4. The food was great, the wine was delicious too! Tried their sangria, it was perfect! I'm giving them a 4 because even though we felt rushed at the beginning, everyone was accommodating. We were able to use another room for a game that the group had planned. I would suggest that since they are too crowded and don't offer a lot of sitting room in their lobby, that they make an investment in outdoor heaters. There is so much to admire outside but nobody wants to be cold. Adding heaters would add comfort to the views during the winter! Because we had to request several rooms to be comfortable after we had to leave the dining area, I'm giving them a 4.

Liz Mason

The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly - and the wines were outstanding! Totally enjoyed the experience.

Melodie Welborn

I enjoy relaxing here. Food is superior. I love the small plate Lobster Ravioli. Perfection with Jolo Pink which is an off dry Rosè with a complex flavor profile. So refreshing.

Dan McLaughlin

Some of the best wines in the state that are dry, classic, and served in a tastefully done tasting room. If you are outside, you will love the patio and beautiful views of the vineyard. And if you have a chance to eat there, you will be very happy you did.

Mike Turbeville

Really had a good time yesterday! Your staff was real friendly and did a great job on a very busy day!

S NEW

WONDERFUL! COME SAY OPAAAA with this beautiful Greek-Family owned winery that sits right under Pilot Mountain. The view!!! Simply the BEST WINE AROUND. Sit back, enjoy the view, food, and wine! Worth the trip! Don't forget to join the wine club. Look for their wines at Total Wine in the Triad Area. Chef made food: apps and sit down meals. Eat inside or dine outdoors. The

Natalini A

They Do not allow snacks . Why???? How can you drink wine without any food. Other wineries allow you to bring snacks!!Will go elsewhere . Why should I pay $25-$30 a bottle of wine and not even be able to sit there and have it with a snack I do not drink wine without food that classifies one as an alcoholic. Of which you are promoting Options: Divine llama, Mcritchie, Piccione. Round peak. Celler4201. As well as many of the wineries I’ve been to in California

Jean Sladicka

Wonderful food and wine. A little commercial for our taste but definitely worth a visit. Beautiful surroundings.

randy eichen

First time here, and glad we stopped. We did the wine tasting for $15 which got you 7 different wines to try and we liked all of them. We decided to join the club based on the wines we tried and the opportunity to buy additional bottles at 25% off. We live approximately 2 hours away and were in the area for a wine dinner that night at Rafaldinis. We will look forward to the quarterly pick up parties which will be a good excuse for a weekend get away. We had lunch before the wine tasting and it was excellent. Split a flatbread that was certainly enough for 2 people, and we really enjoyed. This is a small family owned business and had the opportunity to meet JW for a few minutes, very personable and enjoyed the time with him. Highly recommend a visit to Jolo.

Matt Grusznis

The wine isn't too good but decent for North Carolina standards. The land is nice to walk around but it is too bad that they do not allow dogs like most of the other local vineyards.

Nicole Serrin

Beautiful views, wonderful atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable staff

Kristin Skordahl

Parents and I stopped here after hiking Pilot Mountain, and couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. Beautiful grounds, wonderful hospitality from entire staff, delicious food and great wines. So happy to support them-would recommend to anyone!

Beverly Fisher

Hands down, best wines, food, service and atmosphere of any winery I've been to. The only winery I am a case club member at for a reason!

Mychael Jefferson

Excellent winery with gorgeous views. Would definitely return!

Troy Tracey

Great setting, amazing staff! Hannah and Tiff were great, can't wait to come back! They were super knowledgeable and friendly!

Scott Donahue

Nice views and Good wine.

Joseph Tordella

Classy winery with good wines and a restaurant that serves lunch.

Vivek Damani

Great place, amazing wine and very friendly staff

R LW

Yummy Beach bubbly and Crimson Creek. Nice landscaping and views. Beautiful building but a bit noisy with food preparation and restaurant activity while tasting wines.

Christi D'Amelio

Wines are great, atmosphere and staff are terrific! Love the restaurant End Posts. Is a wonderful place to visit! Take home lots of wine!

Maria Purcell

Decent wine, nice scenery, good food, slow service. Very slow. And when I asked for napkins, they brought cocktail napkins.

Tom Veltri

They have a small but wonderful menu of delicious selections for lunch as well as a better than average selection of wine. Certainly worth checking out

Rachel Honour

Wonderful wonderful wines! We visit at least 4 wineries a month and this is our favorite by far. The wine tasting and food is a bit more expensive than most but well worth it for the atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

canelaur

The owner and manager went over and beyond for our anniversary. The food and ambiance was amazing. I would recommend this place; without reservation.

Jeanette Salgado

We found this winery on our way back from visting Mt Airy, NC. The location is beautiful. The stage area, the casual seating around the property and atmosphere was one that we look forward to enjoying again and again. We have done wine tasting before and it was usually free, but here you do pay and it ends up being about a glass full after its done. The wines are very good and the folks are very knowledgable and friendly. We did not eat, but the food looked amazing. We will visit again.

Stephen Springer

This was my first trip to Pilot Mountain and Jolo Winery. Wine tasting is always an adventure...but I would say that Jolo was unique. The wine selections are numerous, with some of the best reds I've had in years. Pilot Fog is my choice, with Crimson Creek a fast second. The lunch menu was great and the food very good. Had a chance to meet some of the Ray family and decided to join the wine club in large part to how it is structured. This is my go-to winery!

Debbie Nugent

I was very disappointed with my visit to this winery. I was treated rudely by the girl who served not only me but the couple next to us. She only took care of the people who she thought would join the club and buy more wine. So she thought. I am a member at Raffaldini and Shelton. I watched her offer chocolates to other couples but not us. She actually said, while explaining the club requirements to another couple, she leaned over and said did you hear that. I'd call it profiling. Unfortunately I will not be back. Good luck with going exclusive to club members only

Keala Epps

My rating is only a mid low because of confused employees that didn't know how to answer our questions regarding meal service. The staff seemed unsure and at there time the manger was not available for our questions. Instead we choose to order some wine and enjoy the facilities. Those property is beautiful and very relaxing. The employee who served us bar side was pleasant but didn't chat with us other than ask which wine we wanted then offered no suggestion and stared at us. I hold nothing against this place. We all have those kinds of days. I definately will be back to try the food and enjoy the ambiance again!

Jane Sutherland

Jolo made our daughters DREAM wedding a reality!! Hands down....fantastic staff! Hannah was just perfect to work with. She went out of her way to make it all happen! Jolo and the staff were on top of it! They will not disappoint.

Greg Hammer

Wonderful venue, large selection of wine and the menu is exquisite. We look forward to our next visit.

Cindy Malota

Great place to get away and enjoy delicious food and wine in the early spring sunshine after a morning hike. Our group of four shared a meat tray, flat bread, tacos, artichoke dip and some of the best sangria! Beautiful setting!

Tom Noll

Very expensive. 4 people it was $70 for wine tasting and they just give you a splash

Sharon Wall

JOLO Winery is a hidden gem, JW is creating fantastic and enjoyable wines in an atmosphere of rustic elegance. Highly recommend going to this great young winery and joining the wine club.

Wesley Nickel

Food was great, the people are great! Very accommodating to any request and knowledgeable of their wines. Amazing location with great views. The wine was different, but good. Very different than the wine varieties I am used to but happy we tried it out! Give it a go!

Alan Patrick

Was nice place, did some samples and left with a couple of bottles of wine.

William Banner

We had a wonderful time, despite the weather (cold and rainy). We enjoyed the wine tasting, with every wine we tasted being top quality. We finished off with lunch in the End Posts restaurant. We also met the owner and his wife. Very nice.

Robert Seitz

Expecting a typical vineyard and wine tasting room, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find one highly distinguished- JOLO Winery. Unparalleled view of Pilot Mt. from anywhere on the property. Tasting room, with fireplace, natural stone and tall wood beamed ceilings offers enthusiasts a comfortable and warm ambiance to enjoy JOLO's selection of award-winning wines. For those wanting a total culinary experience, plan on dining in their beautifully appointed End Posts Restaurant, where you can enjoy fresh, creative tapas, or more extensive selections for lunch or dinner, (which we certainly did) and was treated to delicious scallops, and my wife had ratatouille- of course, accompanied with a crisp and delightful sparkling wine, "Beach Bubbles". Don't miss this travel treat whenever you are exploring the "Smokies".

JOLO Winery and Vineyards - the last visit on our tour of eight NC wineries this past weekend. Had a bad feel when rolling into the lower parking lot where the general public must park, if you’re not in the wine club. I complied. Tastings were too expensive. We did however try a couple of glasses. I spoke to the owner while waiting, but he had no interest in engaging me in conversation about his establishment. It was Sunday afternoon and not all that busy. My wife enjoyed her glass so I purchased her a bottle since it was her birthday. The vintages are overpriced by the way. As we we were leaving, I walked right by the owner and made eye contact. He didn’t say thanks for visiting, for purchasing some of his product or come back and visit us again. Very disappointing. Won’t be back. We had a much better experiences at the first seven wineries we visited and then ended on a “sour grapes” note.

Cindy Turner

Tasty wine flights, good food! Enjoyed Easter Sunday dinner with family.

Lorene Brands

Great food and tasting.

Kim Ray

Wonderful wine and beautiful scenery! Can't wait to go back.

Greg Marchi

Unbelievable wine at great prices. Jolo is really a hidden treasure. Fantastic food and the best service and attention. Everytime we visit the owners are there providing insight and conversation on their wines. Join the Wine Club, great incentives and special members only events and prices.

Paige Butler

Always a great time at JOLO... exceptional wine & delicious food! Today we want to give an extra shout out to Max.... such a personable guy who provided great service!

Amanda Stevens

Awesome atmosphere

Paige Haupt

A beautiful, serene location with friendly, knowledgeable staff and really good wines and staff. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Buddy Lee Idol

Awesome experience!

Zachary Rymarcsuk

Wonderful, quaint location. Great service from very friendly people. Very affordable wine tasting. Outdoor seating is gorgeous. Would love to visit again when it's warm out.

Jeannine Wenner

Handcrafted wines and scratch made tapas from winemaker/owner, JW Ray and his family! Worth a visit to taste the rich, dry wines while sitting in a meadow under Pilot Mountain Knob!

David Jones

Was invited today by a friend. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at your vineyard. You have such a Beautiful winery, staff was top notch. Look forward to returning there very soon.

James Thomasson

Celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary at the Angus Barn restaurant in Raleigh, NC our server recommended a JOLO wine to go with our meal. It was outstanding! This weekend, on return from a wedding in TN, we passed by the JOLO Vineyards and just had to stop by for a tasting. The personnel there were just as good as the wine and we thoroughly enjoy both, taking a few bottles home with us for our collection of NC Wines. We encourage all to make the trip to Pilot Mountain and visit the JOLO Vineyards for a special treat! Excellent wines! Jim & Nancy Thomasson

Scott Jarrell

Fantastically laid out warm modern great for pilot mtn

Hank Rudge

Dropped in on a Saturday @ Noon because of a coupon deal in the Winston Salem Journal. Dining Room was full but we were seated immediately in a small ante room called "The Library", adjacent to the tasting room. We ordered from the menu immediately and, even though the dining room was full, our meals arrived without delay and were not and delicious. Presentation was impressive. My wife is partial to full bodies Italian reds, she ordered a glass of Jolotage and said it was excellent. We took a bottle home. Prices were in line with a boutique winery. We were so impressed that we made reservations and are going back with a group of friends in a few weeks.

Suzy Delong

Wines were acceptable but overpriced for what they were. Tasting would be intimidating to someone not familiar with wine as nothing is elaborated on more than the tasting notes and there are six glasses used for just as many wines. We were in town for a Surry CC Viticulture and Enology event and while the staff was friendly, they were unable to answer a lot of our questions and seemed to be mostly college students just halfway doing their part-time jobs. I actually had to open one of the bottles of wine for our server as she wasn't properly trained on how to use a cork screw and broke the cork. Our favorite wine (Norton) we were unable to purchase (not being wine club members) although it was on the tasting list, the explanation was limited quantity, so why are they pouring it for tastings (seems wasteful if there's such a limited quality and Norton can be quite polarizing)? Overall this was an underwhelming experience at a beautiful winery with potential if they could only get past their goal to compete in the Napa circuit.

Donna Lacicer

Wine and food are excellent!

Chanel Webster

Great wine, great staff, we had a great time. The scenery and ambiance was perfect.

Joann Davis

Had a wonderful lunch and wine tasting!

Elizabeth Ziglar

Loved JOLO Winery! The chateau was beautiful and quaint, the service was excellent and the wines fabulous! I look forward to more visits!

Ceil Watson

Awesome, just awesome! Great wines and JW is the perfect host!

Gayle Schreppel

Late afternoon drive was definitely worth the trip, the vineyard scenery is breathtaking then we spent a very enjoyable time with the owner in the tasting room learning about their wines while enjoying their amazing taste. Will absolutely make another trip to NC to visit.

Cherie Tramber

The food is absolutely amazing!!!

Craig Alden

This is the third time we have been to visit and each time has been an amazing experience. Definitely one of the best quality French/dry style wine producers I have come across in NC, especially considering they have been around for only a couple of years. Also, the food is top notch and makes it worth going just for that reason alone.

Molly Robinson

This is a beautiful winery. I was with 5 of my close friends celebrating a birthday and during the wine tasting I got completely ignored by Jerry Ann. I think that’s her name. She never made eye contact with me for 5 pours. It was obvious to me and my group she was excluding me. Why? I don’t know! But a wine tasting for $12....I EXPECT. A little eye contact!!! We will never be back!!! It’s beautiful but lacking southern graciousness!!

Anna Turner

It was a great experience. They were super busy with what looked like a car club; but they made us feel very welcome. We will come back for sure. Our favorite of the wine tasting was the Beach Bubbly!! We visited on Saturday, September 21st for my birthday.

Simply_Alina

This was a lovely winery and the staff was great. But I felt that they were all about the wine club. Non-members had to park in a different area and walk a lot longer over large pieces of gravel. Then many wines were only available to members. Probably will not go back because of this.

Paul Beecher

Absolutely beautiful surroundings. Wonderful bottle of wine. Amazing food. Excellent waitress and staff. All topped off by being able to enjoy this fantastic experience.with good friends.

Jonathan Webber

Great wines wonderful vineyard. Had a great time. Only complaint they got us hooked on the Pilot Fog Wine and then had none to sell us.

gayle fortner

The best wine around, they add smooth and wonderful.

Diane Ohman

Beautiful surroundings, delicious wines, fantastic service. If this is on your way to another destination off I-77, take the time to stop. So worth it no matter where you're heading.

Patrice Walence

Great sangria! Nancy was terrific!

Doug McGrath

We attended a wine tasting and wedding here and it was amazing. From the great view of Pilot Mountain to the professional staff, it was a great trip. The wine selection and food were great.

Krystal Brannon

Wine was good, prices were very high. Pretentious crowd.

Doug Newton

Awesome food and wine. The service provided by Nancy was outstanding.

Thomas Keller

Love the wine and the atmosphere. Pick-up parties are great.

Denise King

Food waz exceptional Wine is great! Staff is awesome!

MUSIC: Excellent. However, there was no place for the band to really set up. They were in the grass under a covered pop-up tent, however it didn't adequately cover the band from the shade. Eventually the vineyard will need to provide an ample place for quest musicians if this is an offering in the future. FOOD: The food was WAY overpriced. 5 jumbo shrimp were about $14. Lettuce wraps were about $14. They ran out of ice on a very hot day. The wine was luke-warm, water contained no ice. They eventually sent staff out to get ice, however it was a little too late. For a bill that was over $100 for two bottles of wine, and three lunches, we were totally unimpressed by the quality of food and service. Needs work!!!! WINE CLUB MEMBERSHIP: There were multiple conversations I overheard about the unused space that was being offered to wine club members. It was a hot sunny afternoon, there were two unused shaded areas reserved for wine members only. Non-members complained about the heat and that the unused areas were still reserved. Parking for non-members was full and non-members parked up the road while the member lot was not fully utilized. We were surprised at how small the parking lot was. The owners need to re-think perception of the benefits for its members, but perhaps more importantly the impact it has on its non-members. WAIT STAFF: The wait staff dressed quite nicely and seemed to know the menu quite well. They were very busy and understaffed as the needs of customers to be waiting on increased. We waited for over half an hour for wait staff, and then once our food came out approximately 40 min later, we were not followed up on until at least 30 min later. VENUE: The place was very nice. Great facility. Great view of Pilot Mountain. Nice seating inside. The pond at the bottom of the hill looked nice, however was chained off and off limits to walk around. Unsure why? Overall, after being open for about 5 years or so, perhaps the owner could learn much from others in the industry who are doing well with hospitality, food, and entertainment. The wine was great !!!!

Nancy Joseph

The facility is nice, pretty views of Pilot Mountain. The meal in the restaurant was good. Portions of appetizers was small. $15 for tasting is too much. I'm only into non-dry wines and asked about reduced price for smaller tasting. They said no. I've been to 28 wineries in the area and this is only place using more than one glass. Perhaps the tasting price could be dropped to align with other wineries if only used one glass. That would also save time and money for the facility - would also save lots of hot water

Kimberly Williams

Above & beyond - that's really all I need to say about JOLO Vineyards!! We decided to have our son's rehearsal dinner at End Posts, and it was absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing! Hannah and the entire staff ensured everything went as planned and they even plated a special dessert (crepe cake) that I brought in for the occasion. The whole process was very easy and they even worked with me on tweaking the menu a little. Definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to have another dinner party at the restaurant!

Donna Fisher

We love this vineyard...the food is outstanding... The wine is award winning...and the service is what keeps us coming back... Become a member and enjoy all the wonderful benefits....

Brian Hill

Great food and great atmosphere! The price was well worth everything we ordered. The plates on the bottom half of the menu are big enough for single portion entrees and the top half are healthy appetizers for two. The sangria is amazing!

Michael Lydick

Had their wine pairing Valentines dinner, best meal of my life with unbelievable wine....

Megan Conley

JOLO is absolutely wonderful! Superb service from kind, smiling faces— they treat you like royalty and make you feel so very welcome! The passion behind what they do is evident from the time you step foot on the property. What a refreshing, lovely place! We certainly plan to frequent JOLO!

Sunny Grier

A superb winery in a lovely location!

Antonio Valentin

We went when they first open. Wasn’t too crowded. The wines were great! Seeing the owner in the background helping out and talking to the customers made the atmosphere welcoming. We did dine in the restaurant. Presentation was outstanding. The food itself was ok. There was a ring of oil around the marinara sauce that had separated. The chicken parmigiana was dry. It was warm and some spots were still cold. It was fully cooked. So that makes me think that they cooked it the previous day and reheated it. It was very tough and hard to cut. The lady who did our wine tasting was very knowledgeable. She also made a few jokes and asking questions and making a connection. Great establishment. We will be back for the wine but may past on the dining experience.

We had a great experience here! Wine tasting, then a glass of wine overlooking the vineyard, followed by lunch. Very, very good wines and delicious food. We will definitely return!

The restaurant here has some of the best food & service anywhere, and wine too! Beautiful location close to Winston-Salem, Greensboro and southwestern Virginia. If you travel the area on I-77, I-74 or U.S. 52 you owe it to yourself to pay a visit here.

Loved all of the wines, in fact signed up for the wine club. Ambiance was excellent with a fire burning in the lobby. Restaurant is on the small side but worth the wait. Worth your time!
