Excellent find, my mate thought this was actually a upholstery shop, be ventured in and it was great. Will visit again if ever in the neighbourhood.

Very cute spot in the west village. I was walking with two friends on a Wednesday night and we were trying to find a semi-quiet spot where we could sit and just order drinks and catch up. This was the perfect spot. Only gripe is the prices— typical New York prices but hate spending $16 on a glass of wine that wasn’t even a generous pour. Cute, New York vibes, but just pricey. And next time would need to try the food.

The Upholstry Store is how you would want your West Village experience to be. So much to love whether it be the fine wine selection to craft cocktails or an array of small plates, couples with an amazing amotsphere to create a genuine New York experience. Highly recommended from a picky patron.

Was there my third time now and each time I get surprised with something new. This time I tried their strawberry aperol spritz. So good! And then I had the Linguini with clams, prosciutto, zucchini in white wine. This pasta melted in my mouth!! But my favorite part is that I always get an amazing wine recommendation for my food. Love their Austrian selection!!

Came in here before going to Wallse next door - great layout, superb staff that were great at describing the unique cocktails they had. I had a Caguamas, which contained both Tequila and Mezcal. Easily one of the best cocktails I've ever had containing EITHER Tequila or Mezcal. And can't go wrong with Oysters from Maine and Washington State.

This place has been on my list for quite a while and it did not disappoint. I recommend the lobster roll and the squid ink pasta. It was just really comfortable to sit here and unwind. There wasn't a lot of people when I was there right after work. The staff was attentive. To top it off, I asked for a non alcoholic because I don't drive and they took care of me. See photo.

I've lived in the neighborhood for years but never noticed this place. Walked by it late on Friday night and grabbed drinks with friends in the private back room. Amazing private spot, great service, and great vibes. Will definitely visit again. Was an amazing time in the west village.

Great little wine bar with wonderful customer service. We were given the opportunity to taste the wines even though we were having wine by the glass. I felt the presentation of the cheese platter was wanting. Four very small pieces of cheese and just some apples and bread. It was a little dry for my liking so I asked for some honey, which made things work for me. I had a wonderful time with friends that night. And I would recommend it for a quiet small group gathering, or even a romantic nightcap.

The restaurant was quaint and laid-back. Service was good and helpful. Grilled octopus with chick peas, crispy duck with carrots, crab meat linguine. All three dishes were wonderful. I recommend.

I fallen in love with the Upholstery Store. The restaurant has an own aura and I totally into the furnishings. I wished that the dishes never end - f**king delicious. The service was great I if you have the chance to eat/drink there - do it! You will not regret it :)

Perfect spot for any occasion from solo dining at the bar to date night to a casual meal with friends. The cocktail menu is always evolving and the wines are rare German/Austrian gems for NYC. Seafood is always impeccable here, particularly the octopus and the trout. Service is lively and attentive...they know their stuff and they want to share it with you. Go now, go often.

I love this place! When you want fresh fish come here! The staff are sooooooo friendly and can answer any questions you have. It's also pretty clean considering it's a fish place. Worth the drive! Next time I'm gonna grab a bunch of oysters because they're only $1 each!

Whether meeting for a cocktail, small bites, a bottle of wine or a truly special dining experience, this restaurant will leave you wondering why you don't feel as satisfied or content after every meal out. The food is absolutely delicious and fresh, but more importantly the dishes are interesting and unique. Their cocktails are also created with incredible consideration, and the wine list is expertly curated. The vibe is casual, but the interior is absolutely beautiful. Every detail is considered in this romantically lit, comfortable Austria-meets-NYC decor, where the booths strewn with luxe embroidered pillows and Hoffmann-inspired sconces leading up to the open kitchen. Everything about the restaurant is of the highest quality, but without being pretentious or ever uninviting. It is a place where locals eat because the food is reliable, but creative and the staff is the kindest and hardest working in the West Village.

I'm a West Village local and love going to this restaurant. The cocktails are great, the food is excellent and, most importantly, priced reasonably. I love their fish entrees and get one every time. It's always changing but my favorite ones are with the puree of cauliflower or butternut squash. I don't normally like octopus but theirs is cooked perfectly! This place is a hidden gem!
