Wine Rookie here, Being a newbie can be overwhelming, you don't know what you really want and you don't want to look silly. So you walk around and pick up random wines that you wish you hadn't when you try it. Thankfully the employees here make it easy, they are knowledgeable, approachable (can't say that enough), and can guide you down the rabbit hole and back (meaning they'll suggest something, you try it, next thing you know you're picking up bottles for your friends and family). If you're newbie like me, grab an employee and ask questions, talk to other customers, and I guarantee you'll be a repeat customer. Lines can be long but don't get discouraged, cashier's are fast and it's easy when they only sell one kind of product.

I happen to LOVE Trader Joe's Wine Shop! It's so wrong of NY to only give them license for ONE store. I'm sure it's because they cannot be beat! I reside in the Bronx but go to Union Square to buy Reds and Prosecco because there is NO PLACE that can beat their prices! Bring your own sleeves and bags and you can be entered in a contest. I've already won a $25 gift certificate! It just can't be beat and I am very happy for TJ's wine shop!

Trader Joe's continues to impress me, now exceeding the previous standard of excellence with my experiences at their wine shop! TJ's has an impressive variety of top shelf but very affordable wines! You can't go wrong stopping by their daily (1pm-8pm) wine tasting table, featuring some of the best yet very pleasantly priced wines, foreign and domestic! I have not been disappointed and neither has anyone that I have directed to one of NYC's fabulous attractions!

I was overwhelmed by the variety of wines they have. Each section has a type of wine and several brands. They have their own brand, Charles Shaw for only $2.99. Each wine bottle has a listing of its notes and flavors and what foods you can pair it with. Most of the wines are in the affordable range.of less than $10.

I am beginning to get disappointed with the wine selection - what's up with this obsession with under $5 wines?? they may be drinkable, but this would be the nicest comment about them. In reality, pretty mediocre wines; once you remove the "cheap" label from them, not much left. Take Costco as an example - the quality rules there, then the price.

Look, not all of us are wine connoisseurs so its dope when you can ask staff about wines and get real answers to real questions. What wine you recommend for a subtle note of vanilla and oak? Nope, not a question I'd ask. Hey, I'm cooking spaghetti, what should I get? Yes, good question! I'm looking for the 2012 St Tropez Wine Festival winner that has- Hell no, please exit. Yo, is there a good wine for a picnic for like less than 10 bucks? Yup, excellent question. The lack of pretentiousness (which is swiftly hoarded by Whole Foods wine selling employees) is not seen here. The cool thing is they do know their wines and offer sound advice even if you do ask one of those snobby questions above. The best is they have their infamous and great tasting Two Buck Chuck, although it's now 3 bucks. Its still a great deal anywhere, but especially in NYC.

Every visit to this amazing place brings more surprises and thrills for my wine cellar. The prices are hard to match or beat and the selection is extensive. I never spend more than 40-50 on 6+ bottles of wine. I lean toward some of the cheaper prices, but don't be fooled. In no was does that mean the quality, taste and pairing options aren't up to par. I just wish they delivered to my neck of the woods or had more than one location in NYC.

I have been visiting this specific Trader Joe’s for most of my adult life. However today something happened that changed my entire outlook on this company. I was celebrating an milestone anniversary with my beautiful wife and wanted some special wine. I met this wonderful young lady named Brittany. She was so very knowledgeable about the pallet and the taste and pairings of all my questions. Her eagerness to help and overall patience to make sure that little piece of our night was special was unparalleled. I am not sure of her posterior within the company however with her skill set and confidence I would believe she is a manager if not well on the way to be an amazing one! This will now be my go-to place for not only my restocking of my wine cellar, but my overall destination for the experience as well. In this beautiful city we live in things can feel rushed. However, in the time it took me to get what I needed today I felt like for that moment it was only about me. I appreciated that level of expertise and attention.

SHHHHHHHHHH! Don't tell anybody this BUT THIS.. is where I come to replenish the wine cave they have really nice quality wines phenomenal prices long lines that move quickly knowledgeable courteous staff they do tastings.. they have great shopping bags you can buy for for like a dollar fifty that'll hold 6 bottles and doesn'tpermit clinking clanking soundsof the bottles hitting together so everybody in your building knows that you were just at the liquor store...party at your place stares no bueno... what's really cool about those bags is that you could put like four bottles of wine and two containers of Pringles potato chips in them and you know what that means... part tay on the move!

For the second time, the same checkout clerk was rude. I'm invariably polite. This visit, the person seemed put off because I wanted to use a reusable TJs bag and because I asked her (politely) to put each of the bottles of wine in individual small bags to avoid breakage. Oddly, other TJ clerks automatically use the smaller bags.

The best if you are not a billionaire. When i get into Manhattan with my car, i load up. I park the car a couple of blocks away at a meter, go there and buy a case or two, and leave it with the cashier. Then i get my car, park in front, telephone them, and they carry it out for me to my trunk.

Outstanding wine store next to a Trader Joe's. They offer wine tastings throughout the day, have clearly labeled wine varieties and all the labels give an overview of the wine. They have a clean bathroom which is super convenient. They also have a more expensive area for wines upwards of $50. Most other wines range from $4-$20. Near checkout is a small refrigerated section where you can get canned wine and cold champagne. At checkout you can buy a wine opener, a 6-wine bottle carrier for $.58, or have the wine delivered to your apt. Highly recommend if you bought a lot!

As I was consulting a staff on a particular wine one day, someone came and interrupted us. And what did the staff do? As of March 2019 they stopped delivery!?! What an absurd decision in a city like NYC where most people don't have a car... I'm shocked how a company such as TJs would simply discontinue a major aspect of their service instead and disregard the needs of a huge portion of their clientele rather than go the extra mile and setup some delivery option (even if more expensive or managed through a third party vendor with whom they partner). Until they change this policy I'll keep my review at one star and purchase only what I can carry (I usually ordered delivery of several cases at a time).
