This is our favorite wine store in the neighborhood. The shopkeepers are extremely helpful on providing recommendations based on your preferences. We also like that they have accounts that track our previous purchases so we can say if we like or do not like something to get even better recommendations. We Pretty much exclusively shop here when looking for wine in the neighborhood

My friend and I, who happen to both work on wine blogs, walked into the store with the intention of getting a few bottles of wine this evening after 6pm. We were greeted by the cashier, and told, “Pour yourself a cup of Rose”. We both did, and were immediately scolded like children, by the cashier, the same cashier who told us to pour a cup in the first place. He told us save some for others, it’s only a tasting. We were so embarassed we threw the cups in the trash, and immediately left. Beautiful establishment, but horrible, horrible, horrible service. We will not be returning to The Winery, and will be discouraging our friends and other industry professionals from supporting the business. We are adults, not children. You never know who is in your establishment, or their walk of life. Take this as a lesson.

When Pumkin Escobar is setting up for a sexy evening with a delightful member of the female persuasion, this is where he goes to get the perfect ambrosia for the evening. They have a great selection and a knowledgeable staff, so as long as you know what you're looking for, they can get you to it. I get a nice bottle if Riesling from an upstate NY winery and pair that with something I tossed together in my kitchen and I won't even need to put on my satin smoking jacket and Lawrence Welk bubble machine... but I do, cause the ladies like a little theater with the romancin',

I love walking into this wine shop. They are always very knowledgeable about their wines. They are always very welcoming when I enter the store. They are affordable to very expensive. They even keep a history of my purchases (completely voluntary - they ask if you would like this free feature) that they use to give me reminders. I don't know how many times I walked in trying to remember the name of the really good wine I got last time but forgot to jot down the name. They can seriously teach a class on wine. I usually walk in wine ignorant and leave wine pseudo expert. They don't have the biggest selection or well known wineries like Kendall Jackson but sell local wines or wines produced in the same region as your favorite. Also they have TWO days of wine tastings - Friday evening and Saturday. And a wine club! And you can order delivery from Jado Sushi down the block and tag on a bottle of wine from their store.

Decent wine selection. One of the better wine shops in Harlem. It isn't huge, but the quality of most of the product is pretty high. A few very nice bottles for a fair value in reserve shelf. The customer service is excellent.

I would go (and have gone) out of my way to patronize this shop-- the selection is great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have a cool system that tracks your purchases, so if you like something but forget what it was, they can remind you.

Though known wildly among the professionals, it is one of the best "best kept secret" wine merchants in the city, who focuses on artisanal wines and spirits, many of them organic, at everyday price point. No Yellow Tails here.

I went in looking for something a bit sweeter than a Bordeaux. I got an education and great recommendation on cabernet sauvignon. My misconception about the sweetness between Auslases vs. Spatlases was corrected. I received a great recommendation that turned out to be the best Spatlaes I ever tasted. The Winery's associate patiently listened to what I said, educated me, and recommended according to what I was willing to spend. The wines are set up by country, region, and price range --not unusual. They also have a wide array of hard liquors I had never seen or heard of. They also host interesting wine tastings. I highly recommend The Winery.
