As you know, we do not usually bother to write feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

Nice place with a nicely priced happy hour
Purchase $28 bottle of Rose from menu but when the bill came, it was $48. I brought it up and they lowered to $38 with the explanation that the price on the menu was actually for "a made up measure of volume" and that was less than a bottle. She then went on saying you're in Midtown and how this was actually a good deal. I ordered what I ordered, so just charge me what the price is on the menu!
Cute Wine Bar. There were romantic couples, friends and groups of people that were there. Just came in for a glass of wine.
Fun local hang out.Staff friendly and consistent.Owner a hoot.Great Happy Hour!
Nice wine and atmosphere!
Great wine and great happy hour prices
Great place for happy hour!
Great drinks and food!! Nice street nighttime dining.. Enjoyed it alot. The waitress and staff are top notch!!
Great place for happy hour, nice wines and good food
Pate is yummy. Bread is good. Super awesome wine list and cocktails. Very hospitable wait staff. Busy on the weekend but worth the wait.
My wife and I dined here last night. We had the cheese and charcuterie board. The food was excellent. Service was also very good. Wine selection was very broad and priced reasonably Will definitely return here.
too much alcohol in the cocktail.
awesome vibe!! Best crab cake I've ever had!
A cozy place, has a romantic vibe to it. Menu is awesome! Wonderful selection of wine, super yummy appetizers, really nice bartender that was patient with me having a difficult time choosing my wine...
Nice wine bar
Great wine selection, average food and service and really noisy place. Great for a small party but not for a chill night with your friend.
Fantastic service, great small plates with the best wine bar experience
Excellent spot on 2nd Ave. Great food, cocktails and service. Young and attractive crowd
Has always been and will always be one of my fav bars in the neighborhood. We come here often and the service is great! Super friendly staff with a vast amount of wine options.
Great service and good drinks.
Such a cute little spot! I sat at the bar for happy hour with someone else. We ordered a couple glasses of wine and paninis. The food and wine was good. We sat at the bar for about 3 hours and didn't have any issues with being rushed out or asked to leave. The bartender was attentive and even gave us water after we closed out. It was kind of empty when we first arrived, but quickly filled up as the evening went on. Go early if you can to get good seating.
It’s a small spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine before a dinner or a show. The crowd is mainly locals, it’s not too busy at night during the work week so there’s almost always a seat at the bar. It’s a place where you can sit and hear the person next to you. Good for a first casual date. I just didn’t find the place memorable.
La Cava is a run of the mill wine bar in Midtown East. Wine and food offerings are standard; execution is mediocre. Neither selection nor presentation/flavors are particularly impressive. Cheeses are average, salmon carpaccio is blah. Space is small, cramped, and loud. Sidewalk seating is particularly grim beneath the scaffolding. Service is cheerful. With so many places to choose from, La Cava is worth skipping.
Rustic look, good company!
La Cava Wine Bar is excellent restaurant with awesome food and great wine. I have been in NYC last week and I found it btw 49th-50th Street. I tried Salmon Tartare and Cava Salad. So Delicious!. I highly recomended. :)
Always a great experience nd wonderful customer service , especially on happy hour, they are always are so attentive nd on top of makin ppl happy
This is a wonderful little place. I had a few hours to kill today before a flight and stumbled upon this welcoming spot. Being on my own, I sat comfortably at the bar with a glass of rose to start for $7 during happy hour, (which is 12-7pm). From there I ordered the smoked salmon plate which consisted of salmon, Brie, capers, bread and onions. For $16 you get a significant portion in a timely manner. The wine list here is not extensive, but I mean that in a positive way. There are some well priced, well selected wines by the glass, and some more adventurous ones by the bottle which I didn’t sample. My waiter was Ruben. He is professional and welcoming. If you want to try a, (or many!), of the wines, he is more than happy to oblige. On asking for the bill, Ruben offered me a glass on house. The reason for this is still unknown to me, but I can only assume it is because I made an effort to learn his name and have a conversation. All in all, I would whole heartedly recommend this venue for some casual wines, nice light dishes, and welcome absence of pretentious attitudes.
Being from Brooklyn and eating at some of the best Restaurants I am looking for the most authentic Italian food expecially since have been to Italy and nothing compares. I had the Pesto Pasta and OMG I was surprised the taste. This has to be a dish I will come and travel for. They were very attentive to me and my wife and the service is just as good. Service to me is just as important as the food. Thanks again for making my dining experience and date night with my wife perfect.
Amazing Happy Hour place
First time here. Good happy hour prices on wine. Food was excellent.
The food was beyond excellent!! Service was fabulous and loved the $19 all you can drink for brunch!!
Cozy and comfortable
Bubbly and small bites with UN friends.
Went with my family this sunday, was met by an obviously rude waitress/bartender ,who's attitude overshadowed this 2nd avenue eatery . Poor people skills generally sum up my experience , A low tone and eagerness need to get our entree order while an appetizer had just arrive had suttle implacation that I was unwanted along with my family
As a long time New Yorker this is one of my favourite establishments. It is high quality all around and begs you to become a friend of the spot. Make this a regular or local spot to attend for sure.
Great place to grab lunch and people watch, especially if it's a nice enough day for the front windows to open up and sit outside.
Brunch was delightful. I was pleasantly surprised by their Bellini. Update( previously it was 5 stars ) : went there again for dinner and the experience was bitter sweet. Food/drinks were great again, but the waitress/hostess refused to sit us at the table even thou few tables were empty. We left after appetizers at the bar.
Unpretentious, good food, nice crowd.
Terrible! Bartender is pushy and rude. Run the other way
Wine bar that Kyle went to where he was supposed to meet a girl, but she ditched him. Said there were a lot of hot girls in there, but mostly on dates. Potentially good date spot.
It's a great place for happy hour.
Good food. Quaint but very loud.
Nice place, great service. Happy hours..like 12-17 unlimited cocktails for 90 min =19$
Their IPA is great! The happy hour is great for anyone who enjoys day drinking and beer hahaha
Great staff, good brunch options.
Expect the owner to try to get your woman to the basement.... I'll give it negative 10 if I could.
Wait staff was rude to my table, they wouldn't turn down music and actually turned it up/louder, and my group could not hear ourselves talk. Food took wayyyyy too long to make (I ordered a panini with salad and chips, they took well over 20 minutes to get it to me), and overall was not an enjoyable experience. Would not recommend coming here unless you like overpriced wines and yelling at your party when you are seated inches from each other to talk.
Great place. Serbian bartender. South African cook. Good selection
Delicious good every time I'm here. Friendly staff; they're always super busy yet manage to make me feel like their only importance in the time we're interacting. Excellent customer service! My go-to order is there arugula salad, I'm not sure what they put in that dressing but I crave that salad all the time!
Very nice selection of food and wine. Great happy hour specials. Small space with tables and bar seating
Casual service, main course served while we were still eating appetizer, music overly loud even though no-one appeared to be listening. Good, simple food, reasonable prices.
Awesome place!!! Great bottomless mimosas brunch on Saturdays.
Good place to go for a drink or two, but not much more... Their music selection is so suburban (& the volume always set to it's max)... forces me wave for a check every time.
Horrible experience. The server Dijana was rude and racist. She continually hounded my friends' and I's table making distasteful comments and pressuring us to either pay off our bill or leave. We observed her from the bar snickering and pointing to us. She barely went to check on anyone else's table. My friends and I were just trying to catch up with each other and it was made impossible due to her presence every 5 minutes. I think she thought because we were black that we weren't going to pay or something. Honestly, I have no idea. DO NOT COME HERE!
I visited La Cava for brunch and found the waffles to be fantastic and the service to be good. The prices were relatively fair for being in NY. A great brunch option.
Met some friends here for drinks and dinner on a Friday night. It was a bit loud for our purpose of wanting to chat and catch up, but the food was yummy the wine hit the spot. My sister has visited here after work several times during the week and it’s way less crowded, so better to visit then if you’re looking to avoid yelling during a convo.
Delicious food. Decent happy hour.
Always a great time with wine and cheese at La Cava. Good selection of house special red wines
Excellent choice of wines
Great happy hour. Gets pretty crowded after work on Thursdays and Fridays. I'd recommend smaller groups/ date meetups for this place unless you want a wait to be seated.
Great service. Nice location, atmosphere. Food mediocre.
I stayed at the hotel on this street for a week, ate at several restaurants in the area and this is easily my favorite. The food to price ratio was excellent, and the service rivals that of top dollar restaurants. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I had the most amazing brunch here. Just look at that!
Nice place. Good crowd, food, drinks and service!
Small place. Good service. Noisy.
Great wine, snacks and friendly service.
Good meal Nice atmosphere!
