Great wine selection of French wines. For food, the tower is a great addition for 2 people.
One of my favorite wine bar! a beautiful French ambience! I really enjoy go there for a drink and eat the "apero charcuterie plate" with cheese. They have an excellent wine list with wines offered from all over the world. The only negative point is that the music is way too loud you can't have a conversation.
Interesting wine selections, good food, and a comfortable atmosphere, all for reasonable prices (by midtown/theater district standards). Also, my server/bartender was ridiculously well-informed and helpful. This place will be entering my rotation for post-theater drinks and snacks.
Very nice wine bar. Nice selection of wines, not too loud so you can hear each other. Our waiter could have been friendlier though.
Great wine selection and nice setting
Great wine bar. Classy but not too expensive. Get there early; it's not big.
Selective list but they have an alternative for whatever you want (eg. Malbec for Merlot). Would not really recommend getting the small appetizers since they really are very small, but the cheese plate was amazing! Great atmosphere and service too!
Perhaps favorite wine bar in NYC. The staff makes discovering new wine accessible and interesting. Trust their judgement!
Oo you fancy
Will put a dent in your wallet, but the wine is fantastic and the staff very welcoming, even to tourists in winter jackets from 1998.
Kult sted å ta er glass og noe små-mat å bite i.
Food was all very good but nothing super memorable.
The servers here are incredibly knowledgeable about wine as you would expect them to be.
Wow what a wine list! Didn't eat here but good looked good.
Nice wine bar. Kind of in a dead spot but has good wine selection and the staff knows their stuff.
Cool decoration and great wine menu
Great place to get a glass or a bottle afterwork. Large variety of wine, the bites are good too.
Great wine and servers.
I really enjoy the lunch here. The pricing is reasonable for mid-town & the food is very good. I love meeting friends here!
Great small plates and all the waiters are super knowledgeable about what wines to recommend
Food, not so great. Decor very nice
Friday night and Aldo is off - the guy at Le Brrnardin door told us. Disappointing
Great wine list.Aso pretty cool to see Aldo around the bar!
I've had good food, but the food here was AMAZING. Such a lovely, cozy atmosphere. Waitstaff always friendly, helpful, and patient, who were always ready with a food, beer, or wine recommendation. HAVE to come back-date night, girl's night out, a long overdue one-on-one with a good friend, whatever.
El mejor Wine Bar de NYC.
My favorite wine bar. The staff really know what they are talking about. The list and range of wine styles really incredible, if I had more money to burn would have gone on and on. Good menu too, with enough small dishes to make one big meal. We always order the foie gras, that cauliflower head, squash faux "bolognese", the charcuterie, and cheeses that are so tasty to eat with the wine. I could go on and on If my credit card bill permits. If.
Best wine bar in the city hands down. So artsy and clll inside- all waiters are French which makes it even cooler. Highly recommend- amazing wine that will mess you up.
Un lieu extrêmement accueillant.
Extensive wine menu in an elegant atmosphere.
One of my favorite wine bars in the city. Cozy couches, or sit at a high top, or at the bar.
On a recent Memorial Day weekend trip to NYC, Aldo Sohm was recommended by a friend and it exceeded our expectations. The day was rather balmy and the cool, cozy atmosphere was welcoming from when we first entered. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting apps and wine. Both of which were outstanding. Our kids, 11 & 14, even commented about how "cool" the place was and they wished we could've stayed longer. I highly recommend that you make Aldo Sohm part of your itinerary the next time you visit NYC or if you already live there. Well done & keep it up!
Food is terrific, service is wonderful. Incredible wine
Good wine list, great service and ambiance
Great place at New York City. They have the perfect atmosphere. I like this bar!
Enjoyed the wine selection and unique small plate food options. A cozy atmosphere and pleasant staff.
Wonderful experience!
Awkward. Quiet on a Saturday night.
If you are into wine, you need to hit this place up when in N.Y.. great wine list and knowledgeable and attentive staff.
One of NYC's great wine venues
Wonderful dining experience!! The food, wine, ambiance and service = perfection!
Excellent!!! I really enjoyed it.
Beautiful space that takes you right out of the hustle of midtown. They have an amazing wine list, the service is incredible and attentive and it's the kind of place where you can have a conversation and actually hear it.
Great place for wine happy hour!

Always a great spot to go for a little wine from a vast wine list and with experienced knowledgeable servers who can deliver whatever you are looking for, or surprise you with wines you might have never tried
Good place for wine selections.

The staff is awesome! Always a good time and great service. We love coming here because Fredo gives the best recommendations on wine.
By far the best food I had in NYC. So good I went twice in four days. I don't normally drink wine but I figured I was at the best spot in town for it so I went with the servers suggestions. Hit after hit. I've never had wine like what I had on those nights. The chef, Kris, amazing. That's all I can say. The food was so well prepared and presented, you could taste the passion.
Great Wind Bar
Excellent (though unique) wine selection. Friendly and approachable staff.
Terrific wine and tapas-style spot!
Relaxed place for a great bottle of wine - make sure you arrive early.
Beautiful wines and great art on the walls too.
Such a great place! Great decor!
Excellent wine selection in an comfortable living room type environment. The focus is on French wines. There is also a food menu that rivals full restaurants, so you can certainly make this your plan for dinner. I prefer to sit on the couch in the center, but the communal table can be fun too. Get there early since it can get crowded.
The wine was excellent. The food was mediocre, but ok for a wine bar. Nothing to write home about, but not so bad to make me write a bad review. We were 8 people for dinner, and we tasted most things on the menu. Out of the 8 of us, 2 (including me) got food poisoning. Apparently, even though the restaurant claims they keep the highest sanitary measures, they don't. When I called to complain, they took my number and never called back. After a few more tries, I eventually managed to talk a manager named Ben who basically ignored my complaints and did not take any responsibility. (He did offer to refund me the price of one particular dish out of the whole meal which seemed the most likely suspect for causing the food poisoning; I thought this was ridiculous and insulting.) I was very surprised and disappointed. If 2 guests in my house would have gotten food poisoning I would be mortified. Not the people of Aldo Sohm....
Good wine bar with meats and cheese. Expect $20 min per person. Can easily be $50 per persons.
Featured in a German Newspaper we thought to visit this spot. Wine menu is well curated although tending to be on the upper scale. Service is definitely not well trained and wasn’t able to recommend us the appropriate wine. What really stroke us was the quality of the dishes - far below mediocre, tasteless, and - sorry to say, but given the price tag it is almost an insult compared to high standards next door. Sorry Aldo, but you can do much more better.
Awesome service, wine and food.
Fabulous list, menu of bites, service, and atmosphere.
Love this place, they have different varieties of wine in an affordable price.
So many good wines!
Beautiful interior & atmosphere, nice choice of good wine and delicious snacks.
Excellent and huge wine menu, with a variety of offerings both by the glass and by the bottle. Curated menu that leans French. Cheese board selected by the chef was excellent. Wonderful place to stop for happy hour or before/after a show.
Adam Cohn recc. K Ross went here on a date. Wine is too much. Ran by la bernadin' savoyoin.
On
Really really good wine. Also really really pricey. Worth it for a special occasion.
Great food, great host
Nice cozy place, it is quite and excellent service.
Wine and food are both lights out. The service is another story. Example: forgetting to bring two dishes to the table but of course they didn't forget to put them on the bill. Bush league... Still the wine and food are fantastic.
Expensive but quality wines. Wish there was more variety in selection they had. Food (appetizers) were good. Truffle pasta was a bomb. Overall a nice place for a quick meeting over drinks.
Gorgeous place with a very intimate setting. Great selection of wines with a very friendly and helpful staff.
A lovely space and even lovelier Zalto wine glasses but there is a little something missing in the hospitality.
Great place for a lovely wine
Great selection, cool music
One of the best wine bar in Manhattan!
Good wine, great atmosphere. A great place to chill.
*Fabulous* selection, nightly special big bottle (9 pm), nice nibbles, chill and classy without being stuffy – perfect place for a drink. There’s a wine flight option, which cycles monthly. The space is like a mid-century lounge, or a stylish living room. The som is the head som of Le Bernadine (world-class restaurant) next door; the wine bar is much more approachable to drop in.
Good for a quick glass of wine. Good selection of fine wine znd very nice dishes.
1 star for wine selection and service but terribly disappointed in the food. We tried 7 different dishes and ironically only one with flavor was the tuna can toast. The cauliflower was a disgrace, and shockingly bland- basically steamed and sprinkled with bread crumbs. Over priced for the quality and not at all in line with expectations one has of a spin off NY'S best restaurants.
Fansy place with small portions
I love this place whenever I'm going to a Broadway play. Great wine and food is good too! It was crowded like I've never seen before, this time.
Phenomenal food and even better wine. The renowned sommelier owner takes the time to make everyone feel well attended. A hidden gem that will now be my go to spot.
Really nice wine and snack bar. Very pleasant. My server was w minako who listened to what I like and make great suggestions of totally different regions. I tried a French Syrah and an Australian red wine. Both were about $20 per glass. Great place, good service. Knowledgeable and competent and friendly. 4.8 ⭐️
When a wine bar serves their wine in Zalto wine glasses, you know they are serious about what they do. (Zalto is an Austrian stemware brand, all their glasses are handmade. Feather light and elegant.) Very extensive menu by bottles, also a good variety for by glasses. The servers are very knowledgeable about the wine. Food menu is very wine pairing friendly, portion size is just right. This is a great place in midtown to enjoy quality wine. I heard Aldo Sohm is here often.
Great place for after work drinks
Cool spot but pricey.
(Translated by Google) An intimate and modern bar. Tasty small portions. pretty expansive. (Original) בר אינטימי ומודרני. מנות קטנות וטעימות. די יקר.
Have been here before and it is a great find in New York! The wine selection is a bit on the eclectic side, but the selections are great! Atmosphere is cozy and hip! The service is good and it is a great stop either before or after the theater. I would definitely put it on my return visit list!
Best wine bar in the world. Period.
Excellent. $$$$$

Decent wine list and very knowledgeable staff. Location is ok but a bit tough to get to if you're not already in the area.
I'd give it a 4.5. The wine was excellent. Wish they had a bit more space and/or food. But really great place for the area.
Extensive wine menu by bottle or glass. I came thru at happy hour and it was vibrant intimate space.
(Translated by Google) So much New York! The atmosphere is worth the detour for an aperitif with charcuterie and cheeses ... adorable and professional staff. (Original) Tellement New-yorkais! L'ambiance vaut le détour pour un apéritif agrémenté de charcuterie et fromages ... personnel adorable et pro.
Just what NYC needs, a cool wine spot with magnum pours at 9 and a great lunch deal. Great "small" plates menu and decor. Of course the staff are knowledgeable, but they're also fun and approachable. Can't wait to go back again!
Expertly curated selection of wines, knowledgeable staff and excellent food choices make for a great experience. 9pm pour is not to be missed!
Great place for tapas style food. Wine selection is great with knowledgeable servers to guide your choice if needed. The truffle pasta, spaghetti squash and eggplant steak were all excellent dishes.
Great selection of wine, and very knowledgeable staff. Will definitely return!
Fabulous bar with excellent appetizers and best service
Really great service and wonderful food. I enjoyed having small plates of their dishes to get a variety. Their house champagne was great. A perfect way to escape the heat and humidity. Worth a visit.
Comfortable, high end, well lit, great art. Nice for a glass, but not particularly romantic.
Good place for good wine and a light bite.
Great atmosphere. Their mulled wine was pretty bad though. They did have several other great wines. Definitely on the more expensive side
nice and cozy...
A special place to share a nice bottle of wine - impeccable service!
Lovely place in midtown! Great menu and service! So glad that we discover it!!
Great selection of interesting wine and very knowledgeable staff. No experience with the food yet. All about the wine...
Great wine bar, great decoration. Pricey but in accordance with the location
