Not too many years ago this place was amazing. Super friendly staff, ready and willing to offer you guidance on whiskey selection. Even offered samples from opened bottles in the back. Made the decision to purchase $100+ bottles a lot easier, so much so that I had to purchase an extra suitcase to fly home with my Jubilation haul. ... I'm not sure if its under new management or what but I didn't get that sense of welcome AT ALL this time around. Staff was un-engaging. I felt like I was being watched suspiciously more than anything else. Was never offered assistance. Staff was a bit short with me and I chocked it up to the holiday rush (being as it was New Years Eve). Decided to come back a few days later when things were calmer... got the same sort of treatment. Ended up just leaving and going elsewhere.

They are quite simply the best. A small friendly local liquor store with an outstanding selections of beers including by the can. Also wide variety of liquor and wine. They carry great unusual things (like chartruese) not just the big name standards. The staff is always really cool and helpful.

Their immense selection of beers including all my favorite local breweries is kept in the cooler. Choose your favorite, and it's already cold! Plus they have all my husband's favorite kinds of Scotch, and more we have yet to try. And I haven't even looked at their wine room (because you have to walk by the Scotch shelves to get there). I promise they will have what you want, and if you don't know what you want they have expert guides to help you.

This place will surprise you! I was browsing Total Wine for mixing vermouth and sipping vermouth, and found next to nothing...same old second rate stuff (Martini R, Gallo etc). Jubilation however had about 40-50, what an absolutely awesome selection of vermouth! Next I moved on to bitters and that selection was even better. If you have any questions... I mean any, talk to Juan. Dude is a genius about most alcohol! I like the prices here, the staff is great and you're supporting local instead of another corporate monster. Cheers guys

Their employees are helpful and guide you in the right direction. The prices here are comparable to big businesses. It's always nice to support a local business compared to big companies like total wine.

I am both a Chef and a Sommelier as well as a consumer advocate. 20years ago Jubilation's was a store of quality and good prices. Today I walked in for a 10yr bottle of Laphroaig Scotch. There price was $69.99 this is $30 over the national average and I eventually found a bottle at Walgreens for $47.95. I also used the wine app, Vino, on every bottle of wine from a $20 to $90 bottle I fould there prices on average 20% higher, some up to 40%, then what is listed for the Albuquerque market. My Scottish blood will not except supporting any business the gauges the public by that high of a percentage.

As out of town visitors, we were looking for a liquor store that had a good selection of local craft beer, and this seems to be one of the best that we found. The staff are also super helpful with suggestions, and even helped carry our purchase to our car.

If I could give 3.5 I would As others have said, their selection of liquors is great. However, when it comes to wines I was a bit disappointed. There was not much selection on the lower price tier and, while there was a very large selection of wines from South America, when I asked for a recommendation the employee both couldn't recommend one and seemed a bit annoyed at the question. And, as others have said, I felt like I was being watched more than anything... Perhaps just a personal experience? Moral of the story: While perhaps not the best customer service, good selection of liquors (like vermouth) and wide array of wines from South America, France and Italy. Moderate from Spain and rather small from Portugal (~$20 avg for all of the above). This is a place with more unique finds being higlihigted than larger national chains imo. I'll be back and update accordingly

The entire staff were SO helpful and friendly in pointing me to what I was looking for, making recommendations on what was in stock and where to go after to buy crowlers, and even helped bring my haul out to the car. I'm not a wine expert per say, but they are racks upon racks of what appear to be very nice wines in there lower room (yes- this place have three rooms, and don't forget the cider cooler over by the growler fill station!)

Wow, can you say selection? Huge selection of local brews, probably the best in town, which includes growler refills. Unmatched selection of whiskeys in Albuquerque. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable (even to the four-legged variety). My only gripe is that prices are just a tick higher here than elsewhere. But, with the selection and service, I'm willing to pay the premium prices. Thanks for keeping it local!

Not worth the extra drive. Went 20 minutes out of my way and had a severe need to pee when I got there. The smug staff guy informed me that the rest rooms were -not- for public use. I left and got relief at Walgreens across the street. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted at Kelly's. I had driven past Kelly's on the way to Jubilation. My bad.

I give this a great rating because when you walk in the staff make you feel great! The beer and wine selection is matched by only a few places that I have been. If you have a special occasion or going to a get together with friends, this is the place to go. Parking is weird but it's in the middle of the city. Worth the visit.

Bought a bottle of Luna Malvada tequila with the glass cork cap and upon trying to remove the cork, sliced my hand open with the cracked top. I called the store and told them of the issue yet no mention of a refund or any kind of remorse. They thanked me for letting them know and I may not be returning. 35 dollars down the drain. Update: After about an hour, I received a call from manager who was sympathetic to my situation and offered me a few options. Review has been changed to reflect my appreciation of a callback. Thank you jubilation for taking the time to remedy the situation.

I love the knowledgeable staff. Sometimes I want to grab a bottle of wine that goes outside my typical selections, and the staff members always seem to have a great suggestion. When I was pregnant, we threw a going away party for a friend. The staff a) didn't judge me for being the pregnant lady buying a ton of booze; and b) helped me load my car. Great store.
