Ok so if you get Danny as one of your tour guides, GET READY TO HAVE THE BEST WINE TASTSING EXPERIENCE EVER! I’m sure the other guides are amazing but for my first time tasting there, it was like no other winery I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been around). He’s so knowledgeable about wine & food pairings and his personality really shines through....but what really hooked me was when he brought out chicken for one of the tastings. My girlfriend and I don’t eat meat so we just expected to skip this one. No big deal. He asked “do you eat seafood?” We nodded and then he said “give me 2 minutes.” This man went straight into he kitchen and actually brought us out a delicious little shrimp appetizer that we’ve never tried before and I was completely stunned by his accommodation towards us. Thank you so much Danny!! We will definitely be back this summer to experience it all over again :)

For the past few years we have made a family tradition of going to valenzanos the weekend after thanksgiving. We usually do some wine tasting and then enjoy a bottle at a table and order some food. This year we just wanted to buy some wine and leave, did not care about the band or want to taste any wine. We where told in order to even walk in the door we had to pay 5 bucks each person. Really? We didn't even bring cash we only had plans on buying cases of wine. I have to pay you to allow me to buy cases of wine from you? No thank you, we will take out business elsewhere and we did. We purchased 4 cases an the next winery. They didn't demand money to walk in their doors. We will start a new tradition.

Absolutely fantastic service! Went back after an amazing tour 3 years ago just to get that wonderful Shamong Labrusca. We did the 8 wine tasting for $10 but got our tasting fee waived because we bought a bottle. The guy who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and suggested good wines for our preference. Will definitely be back when we finish all the bottles we bought. Probably even before that!

Valenzano Winery was the first stop on our 4 stop trolly wine tour. They were definitely unprepared for a group of 32 people! However, due to the hard working staff they made it work. They had a great selection of wines to taste and the cheese/cracker tray was very good too. If it wasnt for the hardworking staff this stop could have been a complete failure!

Best wine tour I have ever taken in NJ. Definitely worth the 2.5-hour ride to get there. Our tour guide, Daniel, made this a personal experience and very memorable. He was extremely entertaining, knowledgeable, personable and well-versed on the history of the winery, as well as the wine process. The wine tour included a 12-wine tasting along with food pairings and the ambience was relaxing and intimate. Well worth the money and cannot wait to go back! Make sure you ask for Daniel to be your tour guide. He is fantastic!

This winery is awesome. My wife and I love the Shamong Red and the Shamong White. Even my mom loves the White Cabernet. It's a truly beautiful venue. My wife and I got married at the indoor site. There is also an outdoor site. Great tasting room. You can have cocktail hour in the distillery. The vineyard and the long rustic bar are awesome.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. By far the best and now my favorite winery hands down. My husband and I are not wine connoisseurs so we're not fancy. What got me looking into this winery was their "Santa's little helper" bottle that I picked up at a NJ Wegmans during the holidays. I was hooked. I had to find out more about this winery because that wine was just so good. For their wine tour, it's more than just a paper Dixie cup with a here you go attitude. You get a wine experience. You get the history, the process, the wine and food tasting in an intimate setting. My husband and I both agreed that we'll be back and this time we're inviting our friends. I heard there was some dinner events here so we'll try that out. If the wines and presentation was any indication of Valenzano winery then we'll make it a regular experience.

Bring your wallet...$25 + tax to get in, $10 to park and everything else costs extra. Do you want to be in the shade? You have to pay for a tent (in advance). Want to sit? You’ll need to bring you own chair. You will get a glass and about a teaspoon of wine to taste. If you are cost conscious you’ll want to avoid this $$$ event.

That was fantastic!! My wife and I just got home from the wine tour and this was by far the best wine tour we have ever been on by far. Apparently after reading the reviews Danny has quite a following and now we are adding ourselves to the list. He is very knowledgeable about the wines and his pairing of wines and food were a great education and gave us ideas for entertaining this season. So my boyfriend tried to surprise me for my birthday. I’ve never done a winery tour or tasting & we came from so far that we were 3 mins late. The first guy we spoke to was Danny, at first i didnt like his responses probably because human nature we dont like to hear no on anything - i was unaware of the policy because again, my bf tried to surprise me i had no idea where we were goin or what to expect - so we could not participate in the tour. It was a long drive and i was hungry so we stuck around and still got to try out the (delicious) wine. Honestly a man named Al turned our bad situation around. He was very insightful on helping and in the end both he and Danny were very nice & accommodating. The food was phenomenal - we ordered the cheesesteak dumplings & cheese platter. & Danny kept bringing out amazing treats from the tour even though we didnt get to participate. Definitely recommend

Our daughter had her wedding at Valenzano and it was absolutely PERFECT!!! The garden, fountain, wine barrel room, decor, hospitality was out of this world. We had family travel in from all over, and they are still talking about it!! We just can't say enough good things! Wines are spectacular!!

I’ve always known I wanted to get married at Valenzano Winery. It’s such a beautiful place, the staff are awesome, and the wine is delicious. Our guests loved the barrel room, which was such a unique space for cocktail hour. The bridal suite was great too – although there needs to be a hook somewhere in the room to hang the dress! The only comment I have is that you have to pay to get there early, which was a little frustrating. The only way to work out my limo timing was to have the girls dropped off at 3:45 instead of 4, and we ended up having to stand outside because we weren’t allowed in yet (come on!). They book up fast though, so be prepared for that. We got engaged in February, 2015 and had to get married on a Friday in May, 2017 because all the Saturdays were booked! Overall my wedding was everything I could’ve hoped for and I can’t wait to see the beautiful pictures in the vineyard!

My fiancé and I booked our wedding at valenzano winery (even picked our wedding date around their availability), and then 7 months later (5 months before our wedding), we received a phone call from our caterer letting us know that the winery made a mistake and double booked so we were kicked out. The winery made no attempt to reach out and apologize. When I called them, the owner acted as if I were crazy and that this wasn’t a big deal... we also live 2100 miles away and could not physically look at other venues. While I have no proof, my gut tells me we were kicked out for a friend or family member or someone willing to pay over the already high price tag. The pavilion that they have is beautiful, but if you want to feel confident that your wedding will go as you planned, and if you only want to plan a wedding once, do yourself a favor and move on. I will never drink their mediocre wine again.

Best wine tasting I’ve ever been on. My girlfriend dragged me and I’m not much of a wine guy but this tour and tasting changed my mind. Dan was awesome and was hands down the best tour guide ever. I loved the food pairings with the wine and his suggestions for wine (like putting pineapple juice & rum in the Plums Up) are spot on. I can’t wait to go back with my girlfriend in the fall for another tasting and eventually get a spot at the table for one of the Thursday night dinners!!!

Went today for a wine tasting and tour. OMG it was wonderful!!! My mom and I had such a great time! First, everyone working there was great. Soo personable and friendly. We live over an hour away and everyone that we encountered there made us feel soo comfortable. Also Danny was our tour guide and he was AWESOME! He was soo funny and knew how to entertain everyone. The rural atmosphere coupled with great wine (a large selection), beautiful venue, and extremely friendly and welcoming staff will surely make your experience an enjoyable one. Another added benefit is if you do a wine tasting and then buy a bottle afterwards - your tasting is free! Highly recommended in every way!

This was my first time at the winery...Danny was the best from the moment he entered the waiting area, informative about the hard work and process that goes into the wine making process in the vineyard...the wine tasting session was sooo educational from learning what food pairings goes with what wine and the difference between dry, semisweet and sweet. Loved learning what to do when you drink a dry wine and it's not your favorite...lol. He is the best! Will definitely be visiting again...and I'll be bringing more guest with me. I visited Valenzano Winery earlier today with my mom and we had an absolutely fabulous time. Danny was our tour guide and made the experience incredible. His knowledge of the wines and the way he explains it is like no other wine tasting we have ever been to. You can tell he loves his job. The language he uses to explain the wine making process, the grapes, the wines, and the food pairings draws you in. The food pairings were amazing, I cannot wait to try to make some of the food at home to pair with the bottles of wine we bought. We will definitely by back in the fall and winter to experience a different tasting. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

My sister took a day trip today to relax and Valenzo Winery was a perfect choice! We had a great tour by the consummate tour guide Danny who really make you feel you are part of his extended family by the end of the tasting. I have been on several winery tours and today was the best I have ever experienced! It was great to learn different ways to enjoy wine and food together. I really enjoyed the foods that they prepared as well! We were given a gift bag with a bottle of wine and two wine glasses to take home. Danny introduced us to some delicious wines. we went to the dinner on thursday evening expecting an excellent evening because of the valenzano name and everything was more than expected. we sat near the fireplace which created its own ambience but the service was excellent.with help from the wine expert we were treated with excellent choices which was very pleasing to the pallet. we started off with the appetizer of clams which was very tender and the remaining broth was just as enjoyable for soaking up the bread. we had 2 types of chicken entrees and each was excellent. the service was very pleasant and we felt like we knew the servers for years. fortunately we had plenty of left overs so we can enjoy the next day. we did not have room for deserts and we are looking to go back and try in the wine tasting room. i would recommend very highly and the prices were were not extravegent but on the very reasonable sign. thank you for such a great evening.

Beautiful place, knowledgeable staff, fine music and a most wonderful selection of wine. They go from very sweet to more dry. Definitely try out the Shamong Red and the Peach pinot grigio. These are more on the sweet side but definitely smooth!

For only being open for dinner for 4 hours once a week, they bring the thunder. My apps tonight were calamari and the flat bread du jour. My dinner was the salmon special. All entrees, except for pasta dishes, come with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Can't lose.

My girlfriend and I were at another winery talking with another couple who suggested trying out Valenzanos winery. We tried it out and let me tell you I'm happy we did. Our server was phenomenal and the chef who made a cheese plate for us even though the kitchen was closed. All around one of the best winery experiences we have had. Would go back again and we plan on it for lunch one day soon. I would recommend there Secret apple wine called Batch 3. The bottle is hand dipped in wax making a fantastic presentation. Also I would recommend shamong blush as it's the perfect in the middle rose wine and sweet yet a touch dry in taste.

So I took my girlfriend here for her birthday but she didnt know we had to be there ON TIME. We were late for the tour and the rule is if your late for even a minute, you miss the tour completely. I was extremely mad. I was gonna email the marketing team but decided to not get too mad. We decided to try the wine tasting and get food cause we were hungry. Probably the best idea we had. We made a bad situation into a great memory. Al served us the wines and taught us which ones to try first and what each one was. He was very intellegent with everything to do with wine. While we were there, Danny kept coming out and bringing us food from the tour since we missed it which everything was absolutely delicious. All I have to say is if you miss the tour, dont let that get you down. Sit down and have some wine, crackers, and cheese and just chat with the people working there. Also the cheese steak dumplings and fries were amazing. The atmosphere there is great and the entire staff is absolutely phenomenal. Will definitely return again.

Do not waste your money here. Staff was so rude. We were 10 minutes late due to our bus getting lost and they gave us a tasting. We paid for a tour and food pairing. There was 11 of us and we had to stand at a bar in an empty room. Horrible experience would not recommend to anyone

Our experience was absolutely AWESOME!!!!! I'm a beer drinker; however I HAD to taste all of the wines that we were offered. Danny does a great job. He paints a picture of fun, family & food. He obviously LOVES what he does. You can't fake that kind of passion. The food pairings were delicious. Dana was a wonderful, knowledgeable hostess and answered all of our questions. She is very friendly and her smile is infectious. Danny & Dana are great representatives of your company. Can't wait to come back in the fall. I'm telling EVERYONE about this tour & tasting.

Myself and six friends went for a winery tour on Sunday, we had been to Valenzano Winery before and thought it would be a fun day date to try some wines and get out of the house. We were completely blown away by how EXCEPTIONAL this tour was! Our guide, Danny was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, inviting and engaging. He was so passionate about the grapes, the processes, and the wine- you can tell he LOVES his job! I highly recommend this tour - It was a BLAST and we are already purchasing another Groupon to take this tour again in the fall, (although I think we would all pay full price)! The wine was delicious and they did an excellent job of pairing the wines with food, our favorite being the fried chicken with cucumber wasabi cream and the chocolate ganache cake! After the tour and tasting, which lasted 2 hours, we were invited to order food and stay a while longer in the barrel room. Danny, Jonathan & Rachel were a fabulous team, I would love to see larger food parings and offers! Such an awesome day!
