Well worth the stop for a drink. Staff was kind, and service was fast.

Great selection of meads. Some were amazing and others were just ok. We did two flights and a cheese board and it made for a great afternoon.

Tour is absolutely worth the $20 ($10/pp) bucks! Well... $140, if you count the 5 bottles of mead I left with! The tour was well worth the price of admission. Matt, or Ash, I forget his name, was incredibly knowledgeable. We also got to try a ton of their meads. 8, if I remember correctly. And seeing their brewery was really fun. Crazy to see how similar making mead and brewing beer are! I wasn't crazy about one or two that I tasted, their gin barrel one in particular was offputting to me, and I love gin. But others were absolutely spectacular! Left with multiple bottles of both their Bramble and their Pi mead. Although we didn't have any food, they also have a small menu available, if you're hungry after the tour. It's fun! Go!

I've never had Mead before, but after the tasting bar I am hooked. Not only did we become huge fans of this fine establishment, we became intrigued with exploring the world of Mead. The jalepeno face cocktail was a perfect blend and balance of spice and sweet. Definitely a great way to cap our trip before heading back west.

This is one of those out of the way places that you search for. Personally I was looking to sample a wide variety of Mead. On our self guided Mead tour, my wife and I stumbled upon Sap House! With great pleasure, the proprietor, Ash Fischbein, took the time to accommodate our travel itinerary, even opening up during off hours! We enjoyed a tour of the Meadery, along with a large variety of their offerings. Ash has the ability, the charm, and the personality that makes you feel as if you are a neighbor. A friend down the street. Fact is, we've become friends, and I look forward to another visit to New Hampshire, to Ossipee. The Meads Sap House offers are diverse, tasty, and make you want to come back for more. Can't wait to get back there. ~ S Seitz Michigan

This place is worth making a trip for if you dont live in the area. Is a small brewery but it really set the standards for mead for me. This place is ran by people who truly work with the goal of producing a great product. I did the brewery tour which is about an hour long and for the price it's really worth doing you get to know the history of the company, taste test plenty of the mead they sell. After going and having a good time they had me leaving with a new found love for mead!

Wonderful place, but a little hard to find. You can tell these people really love what they do! This is definitely going to be a regular stop on my trips to NH. Cheese plate and $3 tacos are awesome. This was my first time trying mead and I am in love!!

Paul Carbone

Loved it!! We’d never been to a Meadery before, and we appreciated Katelyn explaining the process and let us taste several different kinds. The meat and cheese tray was all locally sourced and delicious! It paired perfectly with the flight we had. We will be back whenever we are in the area.

My family and I were up in the Ossipee, NH area and called the Meadery and spoke to the owner who ended up being extremely welcoming and pleasant to deal with. Although they were not open for tasting when we called, he encouraged us to come by and he would open up for the time being. The product tasted great and was totally new to us.

Ash and his team have the perfect chemistry, creating a business that serves the community, embodies manufacturing efficiency, and makes some slammin mead. Take the tour if you get the chance, you'll leave wishing you were part of their laid back but accomplished way of life.

I can't say enough about this place. Hidden jem. The cheese platters, street tacos, let alone the mead in and of itself, everything is impeccably done. The staff is expertly knowledgeable and raw ingredients are locally sourced where ever possible. The dining room is quiet and comfortable. The stuff first date dreams are made of.

Saphouse offers a wide array of mead tastings promised to satisfy your palate. The owners have created a rusticly eloquent environment that offers the opportunity to sit back, relax, and chat about their award winning meads made from the finest local ingredients. My husband and I are looking forward to his future recipes.
