REVIEWS OF Brasserie Saint James IN Nevada

Greg Saiyo

Okay, so I absolutely love going here. Their food is great and they have good brews. Definitely top notch eats and drinks. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because we, a party of 4, got there when they opened and we were turned away because they had a party of 60 arriving later and 'were only taking reservations'. We we're literally the only people there and I'm certain they could have easily accommodated us. It really seemed like the hostess was just being very lazy and didn't want to deal with a small party who would have been finished by the time their 'large party' would have even arrived.

Justin Sturges

Killer brews and foods, oh my. Super chill spot that's taken over a vintage building outside downtown Reno. A lot of brews on tap, see attached chalkboard for latest summer brews 2019. TVs for games, booths, high top bar seating, a killer rooftop dining area and 2 big takes flanking the atrium entrance for when it's windy. ATM, fireplaces and gracious servers round out so you have what you need for a great time! Snapple cap fact: they have a well from being an ice company in the past and that well provides the amazing water for everything here including the brewery.

Marsha Webb

We started with a pretzel and mustard. The mustard was a little spicy, but the pretzel was the perfect start to the meal! I got the Argentine Salad and it was AMAZING! The steak was one of the best tasting steaks I've ever had!!! Everything about our meal was great! And the service was quick! I'll definitely be back!

Paula Ramirez

I went just a few weeks ago on a Saturday night; I had already had cocktails so I had water with my burger and fries; really nice. The waitress was o nice; she ask me the sauce was hot; if I would just like non spicy. Very nice atmosphere; I hope to try their beer and wine next visit!

Victoria Lanski

Great food, great service, and clean facilities. Cool atmosphere and beer. Food is pretty expensive though.

Matthew N

Very nice place, good beer.

Tim Sweet

You will either love this place or just think it is "meh". I have friends that absolutely love it, but I just think their menu is kind of weird. This is definitely a college, sort of hipster kind of place.

Michael Carter

Something about this place. It has a dark energy that I feel drawn to on hard days. Great beer. Always quiet. Never crowded.

Jeramy Scoggin

Will never go again, took 40 minutes to get waters. 20 minutes after ordering drinks finally left without ever getting them.

Zoe Sturges

I had a yummy burger and the best fries in my life.

Big D

Excellent service, great atmosphere best of all Outstanding beer and food. Thank you, will be back soon.

Cheryl G

Comfortable and casual. If you are vegan there's not much to choose from, but there are a few options. Cute outdoor area. Drinks are pretty good. I'd go back again.

Frank Lovering

Great spot! Unconventional menu, fantastic combinations. The beers are not incredible! If you're craving something other than an IPA, this is the spot!

Cheryl Nicoles

My folks and I got the Buenos Aires BBQ. Huge serving of Lamb chops, Chicken breast, Chorizo sausage, Skirt steak and blood Sausage with veggies, chimichurri sauce and garlic toast. The chicken was to die for, everything else was delicious. The blood Sausage, although good, was not a good as what I had in Scotland. Definitely an acquired taste. Service was very polite and got our food and drinks to us in a timely fashion. I recommend the Santiago Mexi beer. All in all I enjoyed myself.

Alan Kass

The service was very, very slow. We didn’t get our meals until an hour and twenty minutes. Some of our party wanted to try the fish and chips, but the fish frier was out. Most of the food was luke warm and just okay in taste. Only got refills on our drinks twice during the whole time. Management apologized for all this after we brought it to their attention but nothing was done to make it right like an adjustment to the bill or a simple gesture to try them again with a gift card. We will never return.

Mina Hoskins

Upscale Bar and food, highly recommend the marrow boat for a delicious, different taste of their fare. The drinks are reasonably priced, I had a cocktail for 11 and a sampler of 6 for 12. They have a happy hour for bar snacks also.

Anthony Calenti

This place is always good. There is a quality beer selection and the food is something I would come back for. Wish the service was a little better though.

Sami Jamaleddin

Omg!!! I loved this place. I would go back every time I come to Reno.

Shawn Connor

Less than memorable. When I could inconvenience the bartender with a beer order, I enjoyed their selection. The nitro red was very enjoyable and I highly recommend. Ordered the wing basket, which was very good! Highly recommend also.

Jeff Davis

Great open fermented ales, good food, good service

Cody B

Great food. Awesome wings, salmon, fish and chips and the red on draft was smooth. Highly recommend!

Jason Eberle

Nice but no Wi-Fi (thumbs down for that one) This is a good place & the food is really good. The beer is brewed onsite & I’m a fan. They are classy & semi upscale BUT c’mon guys....”not allowed to give out the password” really??? Other than that, great place & good beer selection.

Lou Schiavone

Best beer in town. Food is fantastic too

Jason Brothers

No question some of the best fried chicken on the planet. Always a fun crowd and great service. The food has been excellent every single week and the menu changes are always on point. Definitely recommend bit only the Dixie Chicken, but also so if the best French Onion Soup we have ever had anywhere in the US.

Trisha Peck

This place is great! Best burger in Reno/Sparks! Good sister time!!

Nicole Pefley

Great stop on your way for a road trip or just for a unique brew. Plenty of quality and eclectic craft styles brewed from the historic spring waters upon which the 90+ year old building and present day brewery sits! Our faves were the flagship Red headed stranger farmhouse red and the 3 horns dry hopped Brett. Tough toss up as their seasonal cappuccino porter is a solid tie. Their food is as appetizing as their beer so stay for a bite!

Nikolai Page

This place never fails to amaze me! Their food is absolutely incredible and the service could not better not to mention their drinks are phenomenal.

Ed Whitworth

Great date spot upstairs on the loft. Love the food and beer selections

George Leap

Great food and the service was outstanding. Our waitress did a wonderful job! She got us random samples of the beer to help us find the one that was just right for us. Excellent place to visit and eat.

Mark Rosado

Took a first date here and it's the perfect atmosphere to talk and the crew is spectacular. Perfect service in my humbled opinion. Great food and wine selection too. Didn't try the beers although I may because I'll definitely be back!

Fielding Cathcart

Great food, amazing staff. Amazing beer. Try the red headed stranger or the third man. Building has tons of character and history. Wonderful rooftop deck, with live music in the summer.

Dan Mueller

I ate lunch here today with a friend and had an awesome experience. While I feel like Reno overuses the unfinished bar look with brick walls and exposed beams, they did execute it well here for a very classy and rustic looking place. The food was awesome. I had a burger, and for $14 it was definitely worth every penny. Our server Alta was one of the most genuine, nice, and attentive people I've ever had the pleasure of tipping. They certainly will be seeing me again. Oh yeah, good beer too!

Bob Bonnell

Great venue with some of the best muscles I've ever had. Great customer craft beers.

Brynne Kenney

I have been going to Brasserie Saint James since they first opened. Their food is good for the most part and so is the service with the exception of a few hiccups. However, I'm pretty bummed to see their prices getting to the level that they are. I believe they increased their prices once maybe about 6 months or more ago and they just came out with a new menu a few days ago with more price increases on some of the same dishes. I live in the area, trust me, I get the notion of prices steadily increasing. But I think they might be pushing it a little too far. I probably wont frequent quite as much as I had in the past.

Yonatan Schkolnik

Welcoming space, top shelf craft beer, attentive staff A+

Dean Chaney

Had the fish & fries. Had two unremarkable beers. Sauces were too hot and no tarter sauce! Fish, shrimp & fries were very good and good helping of both. Saw the chicken wings and the looked good. Do had beef bones & narrow. Very good.

Robert Green

Easily my favorite restaurant in Reno. I had the bone marrow canoes, Moroccan steak tartare, duck flatbread, and the jambalaya. Pure ecstasy. Bone marrow is a small piece of heaven. Tartare was exceptionally presented. Jumbalaya could've used a little more rice but overall very tasty. Flatbread was quite good too. Exceptional service as well.

Tasha S

Beer was ok, food was ok. Literally just ok.

Lori Mills

Brasserie St. James, never again! We made reservations for a party of 20 for Monday afternoon at 4 pm. We started arriving at 3:45. The table was set up and our server stated that she had cut the floor and was not expecting more wait staff in until 4 pm. Ok, can we start with some waters and we will order when more of the party arrives. No menu's for us, we had to ask for those. As more of our party arrives we ask if we can start with some cocktails. Our order is taken and soon we start receiving drinks. More of our party arrives and no server to be seen. By 4:15 those that arrived and waited more than 10 minutes went to the bar to order. The server was transferring our tickets to the new server. People that went to the bar received their beverages and food that they ordered. 4:30, still no table service, so we go to the bar and ask if we can have service. After ordering food and another round of beverages, we wait....and wait...and wait..... Finally, food starts arriving, but none of the beverages. We ask to speak with the manager, can we please get some service, we made a reservation, they were expecting us. The manager is incredibly rude, basically we should expect crappy service since we are a large party. Ok...... go back to the bar and ask our server to please visit the table as we would like to order refills.... the manager comes with her...one of our party asked for a refill of sprite... his comment..."is it not good enough for you?".... She replied that she has been empty for 30 minutes now. We decide to finish our end of semester celebration elsewhere and request our checks. Of course, 20% gratuity added to the checks. We asked to speak to the manager as half of our party had to fetch their own service from the bar, he couldn't care less. This is the third semester that our party has gone to Brasserie after taking our class final, each time we easily drop about $40 per person, but never again. We spoke to the manager several times during our visit, he was rude and more concerned about hanging out at the bar than assisting his server with a large party. In my 20+ years in Reno, I have never experienced such rude and ridiculously abhorrent service in any establishment.

Steve Evans

Party of four, with a reservation. Seated early, in a booth, as requested. Happy hour until 6 p.m. offers 30% off wine and beer, 50% off bottles of wine. Very nice selection of wines, largely from France. Service was perfect, timely without being intrusive. Portobello fries and Soft Pretzels were delicious. Entrees were of good size and well prepared Kale in one dish was a bit off in taste. Sounds levels allowed easy conversation and room temperature was spot on.

J A

Good food, good service. No dessert though. But that's not worth loosing a star over.

Jeff Pathman

Great food, great beer. Best hang out spot in Reno. The portobello fries are amazing and the Belgian beers are on point. The bone marrow is excellent.

Daniel Yarhi

Service can be slow, can be very loud. Food was decent. Lots of beers. Basically a meat restaurant.

Timothy Gustafson

Very very nice

Dalyn Tardy

The chicken wings are one of my favorites! The wings are seasoned with a spicy dry rub seasoning and done just right, with the skin a bit crispy and the meat juicy which makes for a heavenly delight. Love the dipping sauces too. The cauliflower, mushroom mac&cheese is creamy and mouthwatering! I always order the 6 flight beer tasters, the Red Head and Santiago are still my favorites.

Adam Revak

My favorite brunch place I can get beer and waffles

T N

Good rosé, good food, amazing live mudic

Gabriel Betit

Eclectic and delicious food. I live the space, and of course, their beer is top notch.

Jamey Felsing

Love their fish and chips! Great beer as well.

Sabia Armstrong

Good beer but a bit overpriced. Food can be among the best in town. Salmon and grits, burger, and Dixie chicken are among the best. Food is a bit pricey but really good.

Cale Lopez

Good beer, food, and a sweet patio upstairs in the summer! And I guess you can take your receipt to an affiliate bar of theirs down the street for buy one get one free drinks all night... clever promo.

Christian Caldwell

This is a really nice, Mello spot. Good beer , excellent cocktail menu and a delicious cubano sandwich

Larry Read

Late Monday lunch. I've never been to the Brasserie SJ, before & I wasn't impressed. It was pretty enpty but it was 1347. I sat at the bar & ordered an ice tea, it was flavored with something flowery so I ordered a one of their beers a golden Hefe, it was fine with a little citrus & wheatiness. I also ordered their pulled pork sandwich, not impressed at all with it. 1st it was just throughn together haphazardly, the mixed fruit slaw was too course to stay in place, for being called a fruit slaw it was mostly red bell peppers & purple cabbage, the pulled pork wasn't very good the mixture was so wet it made the bottom part of the bun so soggy it fell apart, there was a vinegary taste to tge pork but IMHO needed a more vicus sauce to help hold it together. There were a few fried onion stripps on the sandwich but because of how wet & tasteless the pork was lost any crispness it would have had. For $16.00 you'd expect a better tasting sandwich. I think the menu makes the sandwich sound better than it was by far. Staff were plastic, & unmoved by my complaints, typical millennial affect. I Would not go there again.

Kevin Berge

Love the food, love the place. Insiders tip: order something with the spicy ketsup. You will not be disappointed.

Kelli Erskine

The food here is wonderfully flavorful. I've been here twice for hh and have been thoroughly impressed! The staff is friendly and efficient and agian the food is fantastic!

Roslynn Ricard

The venue is a beautiful old brick building and the food was delicious (I had their flank steak). However, the wait staff stopped checking in the our table once the food was served - there were a few additional drink orders that were never received.

Hugh Jass

Every beer is spot on style. Food plus atmosphere make such a great dining experience. Can't wait to visit again.

D J

Went here couple of months ago was a very nice hidden treasure my wife got the pork and Kraut on mash potatoes she said it was very good she is also from Germany so that should say something. Keep up the good work I look forward to taking my wife here for her birthday.

Abraham Bravo

Terrible service plus we had to be charged the tip fee by 20%

Richard Lossing

Great beers and really good food. The happy hour prices are spectacular! Visiting from the Bay Area, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel very comfortable.

ArtNLor Merrill

Awesome Happy Hour visit. Cool historical old building.

Russ Roberts

This establishment is very welcoming, and has a good relaxing vibe to it, and the food is great. The beers are all unique, as they brew quite an extensive selection, along with well known commercial beers available. The main room is actually split down the middle, with a bar dominating one side, and a bar/seating area for sit down dining on the other. At certain times of the day, either one side or the other will be closed, to better accommodate the guests, as well as a business decision. I will come back, as it gets my vote!

James Lanier

Took a minute to be seated, but overall it was good. Perfect serving size and server was attentive. No problems with the food. Love the building.

david gabbard

Excellent food, spirits and service, definitely take pride in their establishment. Highly recommended.

Misael Reyes

The food is amazing. I have dreams of the poutine with the pork gravy and duck. I will gladly pay the $17 dollar tax for this slice of heaven. The burger is one of the juiciest things I’ve ever tasted. However. the service is kinda bad sometimes. It’s a bit pricey, the portions are kinda small and the pretzels are a ripoff. Come here during the Happy hour for decent prices on the poutine and burger or you’ll be eating ramen for the rest of the week.

Rebecca Hill

MMMM...I love JR shakes! Definitely go to this place as it stays true to the 50's style theme. The service is always really good and fast. It's mostly unhealthy food, but so satisfying! The peanut butter chocolate shake is excellent!

Monique Gay

this place is bomb. their grilled cheese and tomato soup was amazing. staff very friendly and atmosphere very inviting. the menu is small but also very diverse and everything seems like something i'd want to try.

Nicolas Fernandez

If I could give 0 stars I would. I refuse to go here when friends suggest it for a night out. The service is terrible... Especially at the bar. There are plenty of other options for food and beer (better beer).

Joshua Wheatley

Just sat at a table with a four top. Got menus and nobody came back. After 15 minutes we gave up. Left and went to Twisted Fork by our house.

Katie Mayne

So this is a difficult review. The food really was superb. The service was the problem. Our waiter was the only one for the whole restaurant. He tried his hardest and was kind, apologetic and didn't complain. Unfortunately we had to sit with out service for way too long. The bartender seemed fairly unable to help, she was just standing around not offering water refills even. Also the beer tasters cost 4$ which is fine if they actually poured a decent amount but the barely 2 ounces were a rip off. It is clear that this is a management problem. Five star food and waiter, 1 star management.

Charles Green

Best brew pub in Reno!! A little hard to find and limited parking but well worth the effort. The brewing staff are very talented and for most part keep to traditional styles of beer. I'm a long time beer judge with BJCP and know what I'm talking about. The food is outstanding! Very tasty and original. Often crowded on weekends! Call ahead if you can! Not a great place if you are on a diet!! Friendly crowd and staff.

Todd Mowen

I went here to see my cousin and the inside is awesome. I didn't expect such a cool atmosphere inside. Don't judge a book by its cover! Bartender was very helpful. No GF options but a great place for a drink.

Matthew Biondi

Have only been here twice, and both times were great. Fantastic service, with even better food and beer. The atmosphere of the place was nice and comfortable. Great menu, and if you like different kinds of beer then this place is a great try. The only slightly negative thing I would say about it is the lack of vegetarian dishes, aside from standard salads, but this place doesn't bill itself as a vegan eatery; it's a brewery and a highly successful one at that. I'll most certainly be coming back again soon.

Kevin Dennis

I like the beer here. However, if you are going to have a patio please allow dogs.

Sir Fast

Great food, sweet location just off the beaten path, good beer.

Robin Shriver

All beers really good...had a sampler of 6 that our bartender, Tatum, suggested. Daily Wages, Black Gate and Noel were especially delicious. Dry rub on the chicjen wings was super flavirful, but not overpowering. Nice stop on a Sunday afternoon.

Wallace The Red

Fantastic food, great wait staff, good place to hold an event. Beers are amazing. Try the Buenos Aires BBQ. Enough food for 2 or three that is unbelievably good. Stop in for lunch if you can. Not busy and the lunch menu is outstanding.

Patricia Price-Edwards

Very good service. Willing to accommodate as needed.

Sarah Weise

Tasty bites. Worth a stop for tourists. Bottomless beer for $16 were delicious.

Kent Taylor

Good craft brew beers . Food is good too

Brian Hansen

One of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We were told the wait for a table would be 20 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, they told us it would be another 25 minutes. We didnt sit down at the table until 55 minutes after arriving. After finally sitting down we didn't get waters and see our server for another 20 minutes. Once we ordered food, it came quickly and was delicious, but one of the dishes had a hair in it. Even though our party of 8 consisted of 5 adults and 3 young kids (a 1 year old included) they still enforced a 20% gratuity for a large party. Overall, won't ever be coming here again. Great food, but not worth the services and hair included in the food.

Aaron Steele

Been to the Brasserie quite a few times. They have great beers, wonderful atmosphere, and the service is good but can be slow because people love this place. Menu isn't huge but they make some very interesting combinations and the food is always delicious and perfect.

Michael George

Overpriced food. Beer was pretty good though.

freshdash 21

Delicious food and great beer!

Michael Owens

You'll never go wrong as long as you get the Dixie chicken or flank steak and nitro redhead.

Ron Ronald

Great atmosphere and service. Even better when the weather is warm as the outdoor seating is fantastic.

Amy KF

Had a very good burger, though it was overcooked, the bun, meat, and seasonings were quite good.

Kate Stewart

The food and drinks are great, but it takes a long time. And it's very expensive. A tequila sunrise costs the same as a whole bottle of tequila. Nice staff and wonderful outdoor seating. Good place.

Kayt M. Kruk

Stars for the food! The service is slow, it is always slow.... but we are willing to go there for the delicious food. It is a nice night out for the adults in our world. Try the bone marrow canoe, it does take about 20 minutes to prepare though. ;)

Eliezer Martinez

Great place for food and beer. Not cheap but the wuaqulq is amazing. Try a tomato soup with The Pig & the Krout or order a Buenos Aires Barbecue if you're a small group.

Samuel Bedell

I wanted to like this place... quality food and beer with a unique twist, but it was one thing after another. Beer was good here but at the standard $5/16oz of craft brew it has one of the highest markups of any product in the restaurant industry and the beer here is $7 for a small tulip glass. Service wasn’t bad but it wasn’t that good (spilled drinks, stingy condiments, took a while). Food was decent and interesting meat-centric fare but not great despite being modestly sized and quite expensive. The food also had some odd things like being very spicy for some dishes. Frankly there are many restaurants with REALLY GOOD food and also great craft beer where you could pay the same amount. None of the people in our party feel like returning here which sucks because an actual quality brew pub at this location could kill it.

James Johnson

Food is good...service, while personable, could be more organized, timely and attentive

Jake W

Beautiful place. Fast service. The food was outstanding. Definitely returning. A bit disappointed in the beer but that's just my personal taste. Update... the Quadraphobia is dangerously delicious!

Michael Fox

Order the burger. Beer sampler if you haven't been there before. Amazing. Mac and cheeses is quite a treat.

James Hale

Absolutely amazing food, great beer, wonderful atmosphere and Emily was a complete sweetheart.

Patrick Coleman

The original - believe it or not the San Francisco location was an expansion from their first reno spot and it shows. Fantastic service and food that hits above it's weight class vs Reno competition. Check out the happy hour before 6pm for some of the highest quality HH deals around

tom reymer

There is different searing areas from high tip tables to bench seating and the bar. Varitey of beer selection and the main reason is the food. They called it a mix of french and argentina. They have a plate for four with a sausage, chicken, lamb and beef. Another option is duck. While I have enjoyed these two plates, service was alright on a busy night, the bartender was helpful and went there for the drinks to avoid waiting.

Oscar Ayala

The moment you walk in it feels warm and inviting its a huge venue which is why this place is only getting a four star because all this space and no pool table or dart boards even a shuffle board would do great in this place. The good stuff being the chill lovely staff. I got lucky and stumbled apon this place during happy hour so 2f1 drinks and a few bucks of select items on their menu. If I'm being super critical I would say that the poutine that I ordered though the fries came out perfect the mushroom gravy is a bit salty and a tad to thick.

Jonathan

A Reno craft beer staple. They have a great location here at an old water bottle company sitting over a natural aquifer! They do alot of cool things. Beef club, barrel aging program, and just a nice varied selection of craft beer. The staff is always very nice and helpful. Great unique food as well.

Jake Steinman

Really great place. The building alone is worth the visit. Basserie did a magnificent job setting the restaurant up. The beer will not disappoint. The food is top notch.

McKayla Rai

My boyfriend and I are new to Reno and drove by and we’re so excited to try this place. Super great decore and the menu looks amazing. The host was so nice and got us sat right away. Then no one came by. The waiters were grouped over by the bar they saw us because my boyfriend saw them look over. No waters. No greeting. After 5-10 minutes we left. So disappointing and we won’t be back. Lucky for us the area has a lot of amazing other places to eat.

Joel Johnston

First time there, had delicious food with great suggestions from a wonderful and polite server. The atmosphere is very cool being both brewery and restaurant. I'll definitely need to stop by again!

Laura Hartman

Bottomless Mimosas! Food is amazing!

ASHLEY Johnson

Long wait but good food

John Victorino

The food here is delicious! They have a great selection of drinks as well. Been here 5 times and every time was very satisfied with the food.

Ciara MacKenzie

Brasserie continues to blow me away with a beautiful friendly staff, the best beer and daily specials that make me salivate just thinking about them. Today the Chef whipped up a pork belly shrimp appetizer with trumpet mushrooms and a fruit compote. I almost peed my pants! Unlike most breweries that lack good food, this place doesn't neglect to pair their amazing farmhouse ales and saisons with fresh ingredients and mouthwatering masterpieces. If you just feel like slumming it with a burger and fries the pub side provides a relaxing casual atmosphere. This is a must if you're in Reno!

Tracy Cheney

Been here about six times. The food is always on point and their beer is excellent! We love the atmosphere in the bar area, we always hang there instead of the main restaurant seating area. It's a tad on the pricy side but not bad for a date night once in a while.

Gary Jenkins

I was going to post a picture of my flank steak salad but it didn't have a chance. It was so good!

Mike Knapik

I’ve been looking to find some legit Nashville hot chicken in the Reno area and this was my first stop. Although the restaurant does have Nashville hot chicken on the menu, Nashville it ain’t. I received a well fried chicken thigh on a tasty Belgium waffle smothered in buffalo sauce. The dish was served with syrup and gravy on the side. Didn’t really understand the point of the gravy to be honest. Despite my chicken being closer to New York than Tennessee, overall it was still good. Staff was very nice and the decor is beautiful. I may be back, but not for “hot chicken.”

Brittney Crary

Great food and staff

Erick H

The service has been terrible the 4 times I have been here. The food is half decent, but for what they are charging, it is not worth it.

Marcus Hunter

Delicious food an a great atmosphere

Stephanie Wyatt

Great service! Anything with steak is great!

Andy Warren

Great food. Good service.

Just Another

In the mood for Wings & Beer, this is a must stop! There fries are also delicious!! Super nice staff.

James poland

great Beer and food and staff well done!

Bill Fillmore

Really a nice find. Service was fast friendly and pleasant throughout. No formula just real nice folks. The beer brewed on site was excellent. Will be back to sample some others. The food was simply outstanding across all 5 meals served.

Randy Dugan

I am a regular here I love the food the flank steak and mama salad are fantastic not to mention some great beers as well as a tempting all you can drink happy hour the staff is clean but a little dry at times but the food here is a definite have to try I was a little disappointed with my last visit when the server came out and requested I tip her before she leave for the afternoon or gave me the option after to leave it with her manager I am an excellent tipper around 30% most of the time but this was a first that a server requested her tip on the spot before I had finished my meal she also did not take the time to offer a dessert option sad because I love the bone marrow cheese cake there and had only checked on us once during service this is not the norm there so I'm hoping it will be back to the level of service I came to expect from them in future visits

John Griffith

We were served at the bar on 9/8/18. Service from the bartender was outstanding. She was truly the definition of multitasking. I’m not sure what people consider expensive, maybe I’m jaded, but for the price you won’t get a better filet. Both mine and my wife’s were perfect. Whiskey selection was very good; something for every price point; had a well executed Old Fashion. They also allowed my wife a couple wine tastes before ordering. Vibe and music were great. Highly recommended if you’re looking a great casual dining experience.

Ashley Rodriguez

Horrible service!!!!! We got there and the server didn’t bring us all of the drinks thg were requested. Then after we ordered our food all came out separately. A different server came to drop food off and it failed to mention that he was only bringing kids food out first. So there was a lot of confusion of whose food it was. Every time something was needed for our table a different person came by to bring us the item and then forget something that was previously asked for. They are not kid friendly. They have a “hidden” menu for the kids. And when the manager was addressed he blamed us on the entire issue. Not cool. Never going back again.

Derek Andersen

Good beer, great fries, mediocre wings and alright cuban sando. The bread was a bit too flakey, but the contents were tasty.

Bob W

Originally came here a year ago, remembering good food, staff, and atmosphere. This time, not the case. Menu selection was small, higher prices, and horrible service. No excuse with bad service, as it was a house of chairs. Won't be back anytime soon.

Rita Thompson

High priced food but exotic, good music, great beer, wine and cocktails

ryan pfirrmann-powell

Large brewery with great selection of beers and excellent food. Sandwiches and dinner options for less than $20. The Argentine Flank steak was perfect and the Butter Pecan Cappuccino Porter was surprisingly awesome.

Eric Kuhn

Great atmosphere and great food. At its best when it's warm and you can sit outside or upstairs when there's live music. Once, I ordered a beer that just wasn't agreeing with me and got the check and the bartender didn't charge me...they're good people.

Frank Nelson

Went for dinner, and slept on it before writing this review. Just not the quality to be good food or the price to be a good deal. Paid $68 for one beer, one ice tea, two orders of wings, and the smallest portion of dip. Don't bother. If you want to have a dining experience that exemplifies the quality you expect from a micro brew head to Sierra Nevada in Chico. Dissapointed.

Amar Basu

Great veggie burger!

Aidan Johnson

Went here with my girlfriend tonight. I’ve been here a few times and the food is okay but definitely not great, the beer is good. Tonight however was horrible and I will never come back and will recommend to all my friends and family to never come here. After taking our order and being ignored for 20 minutes the manager came to our table and confronted us about our ID’s, he clearly wasn’t very intelligent but aside from that was rude and condescending so we promptly left. I’ve been to numerous bars and restaurants in Reno as well as dozens of places out of state and never been treated so indecently. Don’t come here. There are plenty of better options within walking distance.

We were staying at Harrah's across the street and from the outside this place looks a little sketchy. But, inside it was nice and clean. The waiter was very nice and helped us order and the rest of the staff was good too. We got a couple of noodle dishes and an order of egg rolls. The portions are HUGE. We gave our leftovers to a couple of homeless guys outside

This place has an amazing atmosphere and really great food. The staff is on a while other level too. Be prepared for a higher price but know it's worth it.

Spectacular atmosphere. Very friendly staff. I wandered in near closing time for a beer. Most places would have turned me away because it was late. They let me in to enjoy a pint of their IPA as they closed up for the night. I was the only customer in the place. I wish I had a chance to try their food; the menu looked great. Next time :)

Food was very tasty & interesting, had a very informative Bartender... Our server was very friendly and super helpful. Just could not give the 5 stars...after your hostess that stated she was "OVER IT' when we greeted her as we entered your establishment... Needs to be gone! Not a very nice start to our dining experience at your establishment. Also did not appreciate the dirty looks after we were seated. Good luck with that "entitled millennial snob"!!

Great craft beer and food. Menu could have a few more choices

I LOVE the food here! The mac and cheese is delicious, as well as any of the seafood (I bounce back and forth between the mussels prepared in two different ways). Everything I've had is very savory and flavorful with good proportions. The service has always been friendly, and they have a great mixed drink menu. I first tried them out in the San Francisco location and was so happy to learn they were in Reno, too. Haven't ventured to the bar area on the side or the outdoor patio, but I'm sure that will enhance my experience once it gets warmer.

Best restaurant in all of Reno. Love this place. Never had a bad meal. They have limited seating for dinner so there can be a wait...But generally worth it!

Donna Clark

Great food, wonderful service.

Not a bad spot. The building and bar are very cool looking. The bartenders were ok, kind of doing their own thing. Beers weren't bad either.

Always good! Good food and awesome setting

Every time we go here, we have great food, great beer, and exceptional service. The waitstaff is always friendly, polite, and professional. We always get portobello fries and really like the lemon aoili for dipping (my husband also likes the spicy ketchup, but it's a bit too spicy for my tastes). My husband loves the fish and chips, so he always orders it. Currently, they are offering Mac and cheese with mushrooms, cauliflower, and leeks, which is really delicious. We usually walk out having spent about $80 (appetizer to share, 2 entrees, and a drink or two), so we don't go too often, but we're always very happy when we do!

Good food, good beer, the service was little slow but the food worth the long wait.

My girlfriend and I finally stopped by here for dinner, after seeing it pop up on searches a few times. In one word I can sum up the experience: extraordinary. Upon entering, I was impressed by the space, decor, and taxidermy. We were seated relatively promptly, and our server was attentive enough. I really appreciated she didn't interrupt us, and only stopped by our table when it was clear we wanted to order or we were nearing fnishing our meal. I ordered the burger, while my girlfriend ordered the dry rub wings. My face lit up the moment I tasted the burger, and I can say without doubt it was the best burger (and the best wings) I had ever tasted in my life. The beer we ordered was delicious as well. The fries were really great as well. It a fancy place with incredible food, so expect to pay accordingly. Couldn't recommend this place enough, will be going back.

The food was good done interesting faire and some usual bar food. The flight of beers was ample and well-worth the price. The beer itself is generally okay. The saison and IPA were noteworthy, most of the beers are mild in flavor. They weren't watery or poorly made - just on the mild-side.

Great Service. You can taste any Beer before ordering. Absolutely the Best Burger in Town. Nice Char yet still Medium Rare. You know it is high quality by the Steaky Taste that stay's with you. I am Sold.

Had to go out of my way to peel off the bartender from some woman with whom he was talking. That took about 5 minutes. Nice interior with lots of natural, kind of raw wood coungsrd, floors and tables makes for a cozy, hideaway, English pub kind of feel of a place. Great beers, really good food if you choose carefully (I choose Dixie Chicken). All groups and no si goes mean that if you're looking to meet people you should absolutely try another venue (sister bar The Saint, just down the street has always had friendly people interaction in my experience). To be fair, I was here at like 9 pm. Pretty cool that they had food serving u til 11 pm Seems like most folks are here for dinner. Apparently the bar on the other side is a bit more social.

Good dishes, good beer.

The fries are awesome. You should try the hazy beer too. It's killer.
