Allison was wonderful, so sweet and helpful. The gift shop was adorable, and had the most delicious smoked cheeses by the block. Check this one out, cuz I loved it. Highly recommend the Abergele cheese with Mushrooms and chives and the White Lady of Starkenberg wine.

This is one of the more commercial wineries. Good atmosphere. Nothing special. I'm not certain why they don't coordinate the deli with the sampling. Maybe the wines don't pair well? At many places just a small amount of the right cheese will bring out the flavors of the wine. Ultimately the mandatory sampling fee costs them a star. Many smaller wineries are happy to let you sample. The wines here were not for our pallet. $$$ for sampling.

Hermannhof is THE place to be during October weekends for Oktoberfest. IF you like the crowds and the party, come here. Tasting room is really cute too.

Great place for family and friends during Oktoberdest. The wine is top notch for this part of Missouri, the music is top notch, and the cheese and cracker selection is phenomenal. I recommend this to anybody coming through Hermann, October or not.

Best wine in Hermann Missouri! Karen and Charlene are so sweet and funny! Definitely a destination while in Hermann! Their old wine cellar is really cool too! So glad we made that one of our stops! Ended up buying 6 bottles of wine from there!

Hermannhoff Winery has a large tasting room with a deli connected next door for enjoying a meal and a bottle (or two) of wine. There is a cellar under the tasting room you are free to explore that was cool.

We enjoyed the wine, the fireplace (it is 16 degrees here in December), and the sample of mulled wine. They have a nice variety of cheeses to pair with wine. I especially enjoyed venturing into the cellar. It was a unique chance to see and learn about the history of Hermann. The gift shop, however, is ridiculously over-priced.

We were here for a girls trip this past weekend. We visited this winery on the Wild Bacon wine trail and it was one of our favorite stops. Everyone was so nice and the food we got was delicious. Also- I had taken my favorite shoes off while I was here due to my feet hurting and I left my number the next day for them in case they turned up. Got a call from Charlene a couple days later that she had found them and I was so happy. I offered to pay shipping costs to mail them to me in KC and she said "don't worry about it, I'll stick em in an empty wine box and get them out to you." She shipped them THAT same day!! Talk about great service. She was so wonderful. Thank you, Charlene!!! Can't wait to visit again!!

Me and my boyfriend loved this place! The staff was awesome! This was the first winery we tried in Hermann and they sure did welcome us and made a great first impression. The wine was delicious! Oh and they have a wine cellar you can hang out in. We can't wait to come back!

This is one of our favorite places to visit in Hermann. Hanging out on the patio or inside by the fireplace, talking and enjoying summer sausage, cheese and bread with a bottle of White Lady is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Staff is always friendly, no matter how busy it gets.

Too loud and crowded for my liking but over the years, they've also changed quite a bit... There's now a "corking fee" if you want to purchase cold wine and forget about using their restrooms. They were kind enough to put port-a-johns across the highway (no "official" crosswalk) for their patrons to use. Not a very nice touch. Maybe they're catering to the growing college crowd. This has to be the least personal winery in the area. Try some of the others on the outskirts of town for a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Saturday afternoon they sold our group cold bottles of wine to drink on their patio. 10-15 minutes later they came around and told everyone they had to leave due to a private event. No mention of this was made when they sold the wine. Then they tried to tell us we couldn't leave the winery with our opened bottles. I would recommend one of the smaller more intimate wineries that give more consideration to their customers.

I contacted Hermannhof for a wedding venue. The woman who greeted me was very scattered and unable to answer any of my questions. She promised me a quote but then ignored me for 3 weeks and was unresponsive to my emails. This place is very unprofessional and makes organizing a wedding impossible. They also will not allow any outside food or drink for the wedding; everything has to come from their business even if it's not good quality.

We went up to Hermann for a quick get-a-way and to visit a few wineries. Hermanhof was the third winery we visited and was by far our favorite. The staff was more than knowledgeable about the wines they served, as well as the history and heritage of the town. We had a great time spending the afternoon sipping wine, snacking on cheese and crackers, and visiting with the staff. I would highly recommend visiting this winery if you go to Hermann.
