This place has a really great layout and option to sit inside or outside. Inside they had a band. Outside, the clouds had just started clearing when we arrived. The patio area has an amazing view of the hills beyond. There were quite a few larger groups there, and lots of people, but it didn't feel too crowded because of the large patio area. It was windy, but felt great. Great choice of wine and beer. We snacked. The pretzels were good, but the Brookie was pretty amazing.

Nice place,food is good, expensive wine $30.00 a bottle average in comparison to the other area Wineries of $20.00. Terrible parking and layout. You need to get there early for parking close. We , and our friends [12] of us all think the same. We return when they have a good band. Staff sometimes not the best.

The wine at Chandler Hill is excellent. Sat on the patio with a bottle of their Rose and enjoyed the hour overlooking their vineyard. Very relaxing.

I can't say enough good things about Chandler Hill! They went above and beyond for my wedding day. Megan, my coordinator through the venue, was amazing and guided me through every step of the wedding planning process. She was just married at Chandler Hill herself last year so she knows her stuff. I was very particular about how I wanted all of my decor set up and she nailed it on the head. She even took some of the extra decor I had, that I didn't really know what to do with, and incorporated it into the wedding perfectly. She made sure my wedding went off without a hitch and I really don't know what I would have done without her. The food was amazing. The servers and bartenders were outstanding. I have been to many weddings where you had to stand in a line at the bar for 15-20 minutes to get a drink. My group was never standing at the bar for more than 2 or 3 minutes it seems. The venue itself is gorgeous. It does not take too much decor to dress this place up because it is naturally beautiful. This was the first venue my husband and I toured and it blew every subsequent venue tour we took out of the water. There are plenty of places on the property to get great wedding photos as well. Oh, and the firework package is definitely worth every penny :)

Our company chose Chandler Hill to host our Christmas Party this year. From the first conversation, to major planning changes, and finally to the day of the event Chandler Hill was the perfect choice! Megan Lewis was our event coordinator and she was professional, friendly, and very patient with all of our questions and changes. We would be happy to use Chandler Hill again, and highly recommend it for any company events! Great food, bar options, and service! The building is beautiful and a perfect size! Highly recommended!

Came here for a wedding and reception. The Pinot Noir I had was surprisingly quite good. The atmosphere was excellent and the food was also surprisingly good. I'm not sure what the environment would be like when the entire place isn't rented out for a wedding but if it's anything like what I experienced, I'd come back.

Great experience. I had my daughters baby shower there under the covered patio. Our waiter Justin did a fantastic job. We were able to sample several wines before purchasing bottles. 25 of us ordered lunch and received it in 30 minutes or less. Justin set up cake and coffee table, gift table and attended to everyone's needs. Music and atmosphere fun and we all loved it!

Excellent!!!! We went for Mother's Day yesterday and the food, service and music were great!! My wife and our 2 sons were very happy! The customers were friendly as well! Engaging and very social. My wife really wants to come back next year!

This place was great! We went today, Sunday, and there were 10 of us. We sat out on their huge patio which has a great Missouri view of the rolling hills. There was live music and the band was pretty good. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The weather was hot and muggy, and I do wish they had some fans out there to help move the air. The inside of the main building was beautiful. It would be great for a wedding. And last but not least, the Sunday brunch was absolutely amazing. If you like to eat, and eat good food, this place has it. There seemed to be something for everyone, and you could tell they turned it over well. It wasn't just dried out breakfast food sitting in trays. This was a top of the line food assortment. The bacon was cooked perfect, and they had an omlett station with a cook working it. It was so great. I love to eat and I love to eat good, so I was prepared to have reservations about a brunch spot...no complaints at all, 100%. They were well staffed and very attentive as well. We will be back.

A group of 12 met here to celebrate my sister's birthday. We missed the buffet, but ordered from the menu. Great food, wine, and live entertainment. We relaxed and danced!

The club was great but the service sucked ass. Young man with the beard, if you get him MOVE. Basics service lile asking 2 times for napkins and hacing to get rhem myself. Rhe rest os great....5 bucks to taste 5 wines. The. Norm for out here now. I just walked out of the mena room to have the server walk in to finish cleaning the mens room. No gloves, and rhen back out to serve drinks without wasking his hands. I rhink i just puked in my mouth.

Chandler Hill is our go to Winery. Great food, wine, patio, and music. June 3rd was horrible. Food, patio, wine was up to usual standards. Amanda Raye was the musician. Horrible!!!! Every single song was sang horribly off key. She performs again in August. Do not visit on that day. We could not pay our bill and get out of there fast enough.

Nice place, but they have absolutely no respect or regard for their surroundings or Neighbors.. we've lived in the area for almost 30 years and this place shoots fireworks, has loud bands... it is extremely annoying and dangerous to have fireworks with forests (what's left of the area that's wooded, for now.) they send out a weekly email to apprise residents of the upcoming annoyances, the hospitable people they are. They're under new ownership and it's gotten even noisier. I often wonder how the partners that own this place would feel if we shot off fireworks by their homes throughout the year, had screaming bands, and made noise every Friday and Saturday after 11 pm. I doubt they'd approve. Serene this place is not.. nor respectful.

We had pleasant Sunday afternoon sitting on the deck and listening to the music. The wine was pretty good and went well with the generous cheese plate. We will definitely go again. Odd thing was that they served the wine without the cork. They also offered to exchange it if we didn't like it.

I went there on my birthday, the buffet was good and the atmosphere was great until we paid for unlimited mimosas and the waitress ruined my bday telling us at the end that it's to her discretion on how many we could have after we pd $15 for unlimited, it do not say that on the website and the waitress Susan was very rude to me and my guest

The winery is great. They have both MO wines and California /Oregon wines. Enjoyed both. The venue is beautiful. The food is delicious. We will return and tell friends. One cautionary note, if staying in Defiance, DO NOT stay at Parson House. We experienced a total bait and switch.

Beautiful winery! But there needs to be more servers, its hard to get any service. The worst is trying to do a wine tasting, looks like they had only 2 people trying to pour wine for everyone, they were running into each other and we had to wait a very long time just to get another sip of wine. I suggest Montelle or Mount Pleasant, they have plenty of staff to fill your needs and have a pleasant experience

We had a great time at Alicia's and Stephen"s reception! The venue was beautifully decorated with candles and flowers everywhere! Megan, their wedding planner, made great use of space to get the large group of guests comfortably seated and still have space for the dance floor. The photo booth was a huge hit as was the "brownie bar". But one of the most memorable parts of the evening was the fireworks during the couple's first dance. Beautiful!

A hidden gem, in my opinion. The place is stunning, the wines are superb, and the food is delicious. Wine tasting was only $5! My only complaint is that the venue is kind of small and parking is limited.

It has a good view and good wine, I know they have pretty outstanding wedding venues that I've witnessed a few times. But as far as coming here on a Sunday afternoon I'm not sure a guy like me would recommend it. It's way too crowded, there is no friendly service when it gets that busy and the snacks and foods aren't very good.

Horrible food and service! The burger patties were not real meat and the chicken breasts were over cooked. Only half our group received our food. When we complained to the manager he said that he wasn't going to fight with us and to pay what you want to pay. Didn't try to address our concerns at all.

Update 9/5 : The additional charges were refunded. Not sure what's going on but leaving this review up for others to be careful. Be weary of charge fraud with the downstairs patio "To Go" orders. We ordered a platter of sausage cheese, and hummus for $25 and our bank account shows $75 today. Make sure you grab a copy of the receipt when going out there! Our charges during tasting upstairs were correct. Beautiful place.

I would rate this place a 4 or 5 but a certain couple ruined it for us. Very nice winery with excellent view, food, and wine. My only complaint is that we were there while they had a art/craft show going on which is fine and right up our alley so we went to check it out and ran across the rudest most unprofessional couple there. They were set up under the name "Something to Wine About" in which they make metal art wine bottle holders which we soon found out they don't make them at all, they are just ordered wholesale out of a catalog but they want customers to believe they are talented crafters and make this stuff. Anyways, it must have still been set up time as we walked thru and suddenly we could hear the man barking orders, yelling at his wife and calling her names which we felt was very rude, embarrassing, and unprofessional! Who does this guy think he is?! I would hope whoever runs this craft show whether it be Chandler Hill or whoever, that they would screen or check more into who they allow to set up here because this couple was a disgrace and embarrassment to the winery, the craft show, and everyone there!

Spent the afternoon sipping some wine, enjoying the rolling hills of Missouri just west of St. Louis, and listening to some great live music by The Usual Suspects. Had the Riesling and it was very good. Service was great. Didn’t eat but the food looked good going by. Will have to try lunch next time out.

Been twice now, once for my birthday last year and again for a friend's birthday this past weekend. The view is great, the inside is beautiful and rustic. We had a bachelorette party there today after being refused at Montelle Winery....where we had reservations. We had a bus and were told, after making a two hour trip that buses were not allowed. Anyway, after our rude encounter with that winery we headed to Chandler Hill. Much to our surprise it was so much more appealing and to our liking. They had an awesome band which we were able to dance to. The service was awesome. The food great and the experience was A+. If you are looking for a winery to hold a party or to just get away in the Augusta area, I would highly recommend this one over the others in the area. In our opinion (and we are women with lots of them) it couldn't have worked out better for us. Thanks Montelle for turning us away. You did us a favor by introducing us to Chandler Hill. We will be back and telling other people about your winery!

Having our wedding at Chandler Hill Vineyards was a dream come true! Megan went above and beyond to make all of the details of our special day fall into place. The food was incredible and the guests are still raving about the rib eye steak and bar options. The rooms for getting ready are very special and the venue is the perfect location for pre-wedding pictures. It was cold so we ended up having the ceremony inside by the hearth and it was stunning. We are so lucky to have been married at CHV. Although they have many weddings, I truly felt like mine was special and they cared about making it what we wanted. Megan was very prompt and professional with communication and the entire staff was great, from setting up to cleaning up at the end. We are beyond grateful. Definitely get married here if you can.

Love everything about this place. Went for brunch with the family (12 people! including several small children) and everyone had a great time eating out on the covered part of the patio, choosing from the EXTENSIVE brunch buffet and tasty alcoholic beverages, taking in the panoramic views, and relaxing with the live music at the perfect volume to disguise kid noises without drowning out adult conversions -- all with plenty of room for the toddler to roam safely. Food was worth every penny of the $22 fee and the service was friendly and prompt. We felt at home in a lovely setting. Perfect birthday treat.

As far out this place is it better be worth my while. A shuttle to get up the hill from a gravel lot is to much business. (Don't take your nice car it will be covered with gravel dust) Wine tasting 5 dollars. On our last trip we watched the wine servers very close. If you look like you have money they will serve you quicker and fill your glass up more. After you pick your wine it's a mad scramble to find a table. We sat back and watch the servers while we drank our 35 dollar wine. They paid absolutely no attention to a poor older couple for over 30 min. While a young want a be crowd was getting served every 2 min. The Wine is over priced, The food is overpriced and not that good.View is great (if you can get a table). But there are plenty of other winery's in that area that will give you way better service with a great view as well. Maybe good for parties but not a good place for a relaxing time. Dress fancy if you want to be served, that's why we always dress up a bit to go here. After this last trip I will not go back.

Visited here while i was on vacation with my girlfriend. I love the size of the winery and the woodwork on the ceiling was stunning. Their prices for wine samples are excellent, and they are incredibly knowledgeable of their products and many others. If you like a bit more oaky flavor in your wine, I personally recommend the One Eyed Jack. Thank you, Chandler Hill, for making this trip very enjoyable!
