Great ciders, great wines, and great service. All three bartenders we spoke to were attentive but not overbearing and had lots of information and suggestions to share about the beverage options. Nice cozy ambiance, fireplace included. I took home a bottle of wine (Old Oliver Cabernet Sauvignon) and will definitely be back!

Cute place, wine was ok, but way too expensive. The flight pour was under the 3oz line on the glass. It was the bottom of the bottle and he didn’t bother opening another. Customer service was lacking. Seemed uninterested in us, not the friendly place others that reviewed experienced. Probably wouldn’t go back.

My wife and I had the opportunity to attend the soft opening of Painter Creek Winery & Cidery in Minnetrista, Minnesota. It was dark by the time we got there, so we did not get see much of the outside, but the inside was welcoming and comfortable with a variety of seating options...at the bar for interaction with the staff, private tables or large tables for groups. I like sweet wines, so I tried the Route 26 Frontenac Dessert Wine. It was good, so good, I bought a bottle. I was also told they are in the process of making ice wine, which I really like and am looking forward to tasting this spring. The bottom line, Painter Creek is not only a destination for good wine, but for the atmosphere...felt like home.

Stopped in last night to do some tastings and had a wonderful time. Our bartender helped us pick out some delicious wines to try and bent over backwards to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. It was dark when we stopped in, but the grounds and inside were nicely appointed, warm and inviting. Bought a couple bottles because we enjoyed it so much. Best of luck in 2019!

Can’t say enough about Painter Creek - great location, fantastic wines, rural feel, and dog friendly! We were welcomed by a great staff and quickly learned more about the wines and ciders offered. We opted for the wine flights which allowed my wife and I to try both reds and whites, we loved all of them. Very excited to have this place so close to home. Can’t wait to bring visiting family back in a couple weeks!

This place is a lot of fun. There is a good selection of wine and ciders. They have a couple of goats that roam the seating area that are very friendly, but watch out, they might try nibbling on shiny things.

Good wine, poor customer service. I spent an afternoon at the winery back in late March and really enjoyed the wine and ciders. I purchased a bottle of Chardonnay to take home with my because I liked it so much. Fast forward to this summer when I decided to open that bottle (2.5 months after purchase). Unfortunately, the wine had gone bad; my cork popped off as if I were opening a bottle of prosecco, it smelled terrible, and there were bubbles when I poured it into a glass. I reached out to Painter Creek, knowing they were a newer place and thinking that my feedback might be helpful in case they had received bad corks, etc. that caused this problem. The person who responded to my message on Facebook said they'd talk to the winemaker and asked for my email address, so I assumed I'd hear back with at least an apology and an invite to come back and try them again. Well a month has gone by and I haven't heard a peep. Apparently they don't care that customers literally had to pour $20 worth of wine down the drain because it had gone bad. I'll be sticking to other west metro wineries who respond to feedback and try to remedy their issues moving forward.

Explore and get out of Wayzata. Not too far west and worth the 15 minutes. Try the habanero cider: liquid wasabi and awesome. Bring the pooch. Lots of fun.

Amazing. Jeff was amazing behind the bar. Really took care of us. We were the only people there and he was super entertaining and a genuinely good guy. Wine was amazing and cider was superb. 10/10 will be back.
