Sorry. I know this is a small business but if I would have known the negatives about this place, I wouldn't have bothered. Purchased a Groupon and I'm unsure if that was the cause for the negativity- but if so, why is this business partnered with Groupon? The man at the counter seemed more interested in lamenting with fellow customers about Yelp reviews than engaging others about the wine. No one discussed with us the merits of the wine, asked if we enjoyed it, etc etc. Seems clear why that is when you actually try the wine. All of it seems aimed at children trying to drink underaged- very sweet and just generally not good. "Cheese plate" is mostly crackers and a few pieces of cubed cheddar and a different white cheese. One additional star because the same guy lamenting behind the counter did show us some cute peacocks in the yard as we were leaving. I would genuinely say that if you are not really interested in quality wines and feeling more small town vibez, this is your place. Just not like any winery I've appreciated. Also please see below for the equally snarky response from the super mature owner of this establishment. Just pass. I highly recommend checking this place out! The service, atmosphere and wines are excellent! I recommend tasting all their wines. They are all good! This place is a great find!! We moved into the area a couple of years ago and I was so excited to have such a great winery just a few miles away from my new home.

I love the privacy and rustic atmosphere! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Delicious wines! Cheese platters could be more accommodating for a group of 4.

No stars from me. Purchased an $18 Groupon (had a discount code) for a wine sampler, glass of wine & cheese “platter.” An hour & a half drive to the middle of nowhere, to get ok wine & a few cubes of bulk purchased Kraft cheese from Sam’s Club & stale crackers. The photo I’ve posted includes the image advertised on Groupon vs what we actually got. Not cool NHW, false advertisement, very misleading. Wine tasting, ambiance & experience was good, but the misleading image on the Groupon of the cheese “platter” is disappointing. This is a great little winery! It is easy to get to from the interstate, a few miles to enjoy the river and lake views along the way. Easy to follow signs when you get closer, and then you pull into the family farm site and see the winery building straight ahead! The inside is very cute and cozy, and customer service is wonderful! The family that works together to make the wine also works together to serve the customers! The wines are wonderful, and have won many awards! I recommend sampling them all! I will definitely go back many times, bring friends, and recommend to others!
