We stayed at Bluefin Bay Thursday night and saw that a new Winery had opened up and that there was a tour Friday afternoon. On Friday afternoon, we drove up to see the new winery. There were two customers in the bar area with an employee. I believe two more employees talking to each other and a fourth employee who greeted us in the wine room with how's it going. My husband Paul responded good how are you he responded busy....and told us how busy he was...never once explaining to us what they do there or how to go about sampling or what a tour consisted of...needless to say we left without buying/sampling anything, which for people who know us and how much we enjoy wine will be surprised to hear,,,,,

A true north shore gem! I’m not a huge wine drinker (the others in the group are) so I opted for the ciders. Herbie’s and Kim’s Cider were fantastic. The location is absolutely beautiful, lots of places to just kick back and enjoy their product. Highly recommend for anyone exploring the north shore.

Visited for a wine tasting, had a beautiful day and got to sit outside for our tasting. Great atmosphere and excellent experience. Got a short tour of the place with one of the owners and saw how the wine is made.

This place is SO AWESOME! The summer staff creates such a friendly vibe— theres many great outdoor seating areas, a short trail hike, games for the kids, big fire ring, and really really beautiful gardens! What a gem! You gotta try their meat & cheese selection too— the owners traveled all over the midwest to select the best cheese & meats! SO COOL! I havent even begun to talk about the wine...... but wow. What a selection. Cider too???? Gotta stop in. You wont be disappointed.

DO NOT MISS! Great wines, fantastic scenery, and comfy spots all around. They have a great wine tasting (5 pours for $9) and abilities to get free stuff with bottle purchases. Again, do not miss! Best part of our North Shore trip.

Beautiful location and building. Wine was okay, but the service was terrible! We tried to do the tasting and were basically ignored. We only made it through two of the five wines in 30 minutes.

Very friendly staff. Inviting atmosphere. Came with the wife for the tasting. We ended up sharing a bottle of wine, by a nice fire, overlooking the lake in the distance. We had an excellent experience.

Very nice winery. The staff were knowledgeable about the wines and ciders they make on site. You can buy flights to taste 5 different wines or ciders. They also serve cheeese, cracker and meat plates. The views outside are terrific. Very good experience.

Great place to stop on the way up to Grand Marais. Did a wine tasting. Loved the Lutsen (wine) and Porchin' (cider). Bartenders could have been more helpful with giving information about the wines and ciders, but the staff is friendly.

Wonderful wine, pleasant people! We were staying at our vacation rental in Aspenwood down the road & visited the winery 45 mins before closing, with the only customers left just leaving. Mary & Jeremy were very welcoming and threw logs on the bonfire for us to enjoy our wine outside. We tasted a flight of the reds-the Zinfandel was my favorite, my husband’s was the Petit Shyrah. Before closing up, they gave us a tour of the winery and some history of Lutsen, treating us like you would family or close friends. They have a set up in the back for hosting small gatherings-bridal showers, birthdays, etc. We purchased 3 bottles of wine, which made the tasting free and included a wine glass. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to others.

We happened to be here during their annual harvest festival. There wasn’t as much going on as I thought there would be as far as activities, but it was a really festive, chill atmosphere. They have a great tasting option on the menu, a few of the wines were quite remarkable. I definitely went away with a few souvenirs!

My wife and I stopped by after spending the day on the slopes. We were pleasantly surprised with the knowledge and enthusiasm that Alex (the Manager) and Maddy (daughter of one of the co-owners) brought to the experience. The wine was terrific, but these two really made the experience that much better. We would recommend to any wine enthusiasts looking for a Northern MN twist on a fun wine tasting experience.

Great wine, however don't expect any service. We did a tasting and only made it halfway through before our server decided to disapper and left us sitting for 20 minutes. Other servers and owners were checking on other tables while we were ignored.

Had my dinner rehearsal there. Coolest atmosphere. Super hipster and the staff was super friendly!! I felt like I was at home and enjoyed every bottle of wine. I can’t wait to go back and have more. The outdoor space is Amazing. Warning here are flies but I still am in love with the space.

Wine was great, definitely would of bought a bottle or two if our service wasn't so terrible. Yesterday we sat down and were doing a tasting and got 3 of our 5 tastings in and then the lady who had been helping just left and never came back. Other tables were getting helped and one of the other tables was helped twice by one of the owners and we weren't even checked in on. We ended up getting up and leaving after waiting 20-30 min for her or someone to come back.

Cool place to do a tasting or have a drink of wine on the North Shore. They have a good selection of reds, whites, and ciders. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable (even to buy a bottle). Outdoor seating is available and there is plenty of parking.

Drove past this place on the way up to ski at Lutsen for the day. Of course we had to stop on our way down! We were surprised when we saw a little jazz band and had to sit down for a flight with a little cheese plate. Loved the wine but loved the cider even more! I got a four pack of herbies cider and unfortunately when I was driving through duluth going back to the cities with it, the caps popped off and the bottles fell out of my car and all the cider got dumped out :( I called the North Shore Winery and they are sending me 4 more free of charge! So not only did I love the atmosphere and everything they made there, I also love their great customer service! Definitely will be going back!

We are loving this experience. We are new wine connoisseurs. And have each ordered the "tastings", 5 wines for $8. We have two favorites; the petit sirah and the lutsen. We are "porching" in the sun gazing at Superior. Happy hour cheese, and a meat and cracker platter made the tasting experience complete. I hope when you swing by Kristine is behind the bar. The power on the mountain is being shut off today. 30 minutes before the power outage Moguls would not serve us but the winery had no problem. Now the place is hoping with chatty people.
