What happened to the food at Four Daughter's? In 2015 when we married there, the delicious food, a serious complement to the fabulous wine blew us away. Back then we consistently with every visit enjoyed uniquely curated plates and desserts exploring with flavor and evident the chef was focused on each plate, each patron. Can't forget from back then, the s'mores pots de creme with home made Graham cracker crust, custard, chocolate, homemade toasted marshmallow and sugar glazed bacon garnish.... Fast forward to today where our food experience this weekend was fraught with disappointment. Flavorless brisket tacos. Crab Rangoon mostly a slab of toast with a thin brush of crab/cream cheese and drowning in deep fried wonton strips. Lemon cake should have been more aptly named a cold, tough/hard scone with frosting. The Creme brulee did not have any caramelized sugar layer, which is a hallmark of creme brulee. The attention of the server was hit or miss. The squealers (bacon burger sliders) and french onion soup were tasty, the wine, good. Unfortunately there were more misses than hits and two stars is all I can muster.

Really enjoyed everything about this place except the absurdly high prices for a bottle of wine. The food is unique and well done all around, the property is very nice and the staff is as well. That being said, half the fun of going to wineries is bringing some favorites home. That's not happening here, not for me anyways.

Went for my mother's birthday and it never disappoints! Colleen was our server and did a great job- very knowledgeable. Amazing food, attentive service, delicious wine. This time we were able to get the port wine served in a chocolate shot glass- wow!! A must go to spot when in the area

Strong recommendation to avoid if planning an event. Pros: Beautiful views of a winery close to Rochester. Cons: Unfortunately the wine and cider is subpar. The food was always mediocre, but we tolerated it for the views in the summer. We tried to host an event there. It was disastrous. Very nice at the beginning of the planning process, but so disorganized (and eventually rude) that we eventually canceled and rebooked with another venue. My best guess was that we weren't a priority with a smaller party of 25 guests, but it could just be generally poor management.

I called 1 week in advance and reserved a table for 12, then called back to verify that my reservation was for 12 the day before for the upcoming Sat. Was told there was a party of 12 but under a different name and the woman gladly changed it as I could have been easily misinterpreted. After verifying that it was a table for 12 on Oct 25th at 630 I was looking forward to a great evening. But to my surprise when we showed up there was no reservation under my name nor any room in the facility. Last minute prep and we were put in the production room, which was nice minus the fruit flies landing in our drinks. Melissa was our server and did a wonderful job. Would ask for her next time as she was concerned but also took care of us throughout the night. I have been to your location 4 times since you opened, but 3 of the 4 times I've had issues with scheduling reservations.

If you are looking for any sweet wines or any Moscato this is not the place for you. Also very disappointed in having to be told what my flight of wines and or cider/beer will be. If I want a mix of reds and whites then let me have it. You are missing the point that the costomer is always right, the fun has been taken away to taste and experience wine with the control 4 Daughters has over its costomers Take note in investing in acoustic control, far too loud for an experience that should be relaxed.

When I first walked in I thought it might be too loud but then I got use to the open space and it was ok. It was a rainy day so the patio was out of the picture. We choose a high rise. We were greeted with smiles from the waitress. We stated it was our first time and she explained the ordering quickly and friendly. The place wasnt full when we got there but a nice crowd. The menu described the food so you wanted one of each. We each got a sampling and one order of food. We were entertain with watching the different foods coming to other tables. What nice presentations of the unique menu. Our wines were good. The food was even better. It was refreshing to see families with children there and the older generation also enjoying the food and drinks. As we were finishing a band was setting up and we got to hear a few songs. I plan to take other friends there. The Thursday dinner sounds like something I would enjoy. We were treated really good from our waitress. SHe informed us that the cooks are local guys and they use local garden foods. It is less than 30 min drive south from Rochester- go and try something different than a chain restraunt

I cannot say enough good things about Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery! My girlfriends and I booked the private dining room on a Saturday afternoon and we had the absolute best time! We were given an opportunity to taste several of their delicious wines, and every single one of the food items we ordered was delicious. This paired with stellar service made for an incredible experience that we will never forget! Everyone made us feel right at home and treated us like family. We will without a doubt be back! *Side note: We stayed the night in Rochester, so we took a Lyft to the vineyard, but had a little trouble finding a Lyft/Uber to pick us back up. Luckily there was a regular cab service we found which was able to get two cars to pick us up. So if you are planning on Ubering to/from the vineyard, just be aware that you may need regular cab service to pick you back up from the Vineyard afterwards.

Very cute winery. Clean and great atmosphere plus they also have a food menu. We went to Mystery Cave then stopped here after for wine tasting and food. Only downfall was our waitress was very slow and hardly checked in on us (I wanted to order wine and more food). It wasn’t busy so there wasn’t a reason she should be so slow. Also the food wasn’t great and lacked flavor.

I had the slider burgers and chose to add polenta fries. The burgers were really good and juicy. The polenta fries should have come with some kind of creamy sauce. They were not well seasoned. For dessert I had the chocolate cake with ganache. It was very dry and the ganache was more like a hot fudge drizzle for ice cream, not the thick coating I am used to for a ganache.

I don’t quite understand the high reviews. Wine is okay and is expensive. The 2 times I’ve been there we couldn’t go on the patio because there weren’t enough staff and the second time because it was too windy for tastings. The tasting is a disappointment as well as you just get to choose between a white or red flight that comes in tasting glasses at the same time; $10 is a lot for a tasting. The service we had the second time was beyond slow despite a lot of staff standing around. We waited 10 minutes before anyone served us and when we were done we waited another 15-20 minutes before being given a check or being asked for another drink. If you want great service and great wine/atmosphere/patio I highly recommend hopping the border to Elmaro Vineyard in Trempeleau, WI!

We had a lovely meal with great service there at the Vineyard Sat. 8/15. Did the wine tasting and then purchased two bottles of the Marquette to take home. Upon opening BOTH corks broke apart and emptied into the bottles. The wine was bitter and "vinegary" tasting. Disappointing.

New to the area and discovered this beautiful winery...did a simple tasting plus baked brie as an appetizer. The tasting was inexpensive compared to what I'm accustomed, but all of the wines were distinctive and wonderful. The brie was very good, covered with a grape compote and served with baked pita chips. The method of tasting is a bit different and doesnt really allow for a lot of interaction with the server. However, on the day we went, a wedding was being held and they were quite busy. Improvements? I wish they would have a mixed red-white tasting and figure out a way to allow more conversation re the individual wines. I will go back, though, because compared to other offerings in the area, this is a great find!

One of the most sought after wedding venues in all of southeast Minnesota, whenever we have the opportunity to photograph here we just can't stop ourselves from starving our stomachs all day so we can suck down as much of this tasty food as possible. The food here is so incredible. Whether dining out for a lunch with friends or participating in a wedding reception, Four Daughters Vineyard has some of the best food around. We got here early so there wasn't anyone else there yet. The service was pretty prompt. Since I don't drink I can say nothing for the wine. The food was good,but I consider it overpriced. I guess if you use some fancy name you can double the price. There was a cute little gift shop that had a lot of wine related items. I will probably would go back.

The hor d’eourves were exquisite. The salad was divine. The mashed potatoes were marvelous BUT the steak was cold. The chicken was tasty BUT the shrimp was incredibly small, soggy, and shriveled. All main courses were luke warm at best. The chairs were low qaulity. We all thought the dessert was very tasty and overall this trip was worth a 2 star.

Pros- Beautiful atmosphere, nice facility Cons - we stopped to sample their wines on a Sunday about 1:30pm, 9/3. Waited by the bar for 10 minutes before we were acknowledged, only to be told to take a seat at a table and someone would be by to help us out. We sat at a 2-top near the bar. And waited. And waited. After 20 minutes of being walked passed by every server (including the one that told us to sit at a table), not even being acknowledged (no silverware or water, or even a hello) we got up and left. Nobody noticed or cared. This was a horrible waste of time on our anniversary. There were several couples near us that we could here complaining about the wait, so take it for what it's worth. They get 2 stars because the facility really was beautiful.

What a fantastic oasis in the middle of Minnesota farm country. We were treated to a dinner at Four Daughters as part of a university foodservice conference. The experience was outstanding. Friendly, attentive staff who were eager to provide quality customer service as well as an owner and management team who were more than happy to share their story with our group. The food was top shelf and, from someone who only drinks wine based solely on flavor, they nailed it!!. No long-winded conversations about the subtle oaken aroma and fragrance of wheat grass or soft, leathery tannin and no pompous chef making sure you know his credentials. In fact it was just a series of great, well-seasoned plates of food with an equally delicious glass of wine served by a team of people who obviously like to work. Nicely done folks!

I have always enjoyed visiting, love the sangria! My last waitress was great and knowledgeable about wine and appetizer selection. However, at a recent visit I was overcharged on my card. I understand mistakes can easily happen and contacted them as soon as I had noticed. Owner was not overly eager or prompt to get me my refund which was a decent sized amount. I will definetly be thinking twice before ever visiting again in the future.

Nice little side stop on our trip. We tried the loon juice tasting. Their bread is wonderful and they bake it there.
