This is a great family run farm. I've brought the kids for blueberry picking many times. The homemade freeze pops are delicious. Everyone's friendly and helpful.

Good time for the kids. Learn about wine making!

Such a wonderful place to build family tradition and long lasting memories. There is nothing better than cutting down your own Xmas tree. The atmosphere is so welcoming which you would expect nothing less from such a warm family. The barn is so festive and the wine is very tasty. I like the blueberry myself. It's all about the experience which is always amazing here. I always get a candy cane wreath and it is the best you will find. Make sure you go early!!!!

Awful awful awful!!!! We thought it would be fun to support a local business for my birthday and head over for a wine tasting, blueberry picking and picnic- well, we started with the wine tasting. The girl at the table was uninterested and had no knowledge of the wine making process. She refused to pour me one wine bc i had told her I wasn’t a fan of sweet. Then she poured me a wine I didn’t like and I asked if I could taste the cranberry, since the wine she pours was not my taste. She had just opened a fresh cold bottle of cranberry wine. Did she pour me this? No. She pushed over a medicine cup with a drop of wine in it and said this was from the last bottle and “don’t worry, I didn’t drink from it” really!??? We would’ve bought a bottle. We would’ve stayed for picking and a wine freeze pop. We would’ve been return customers 100 times over. We are recently moved from Sonoma county. I understand that a winery here will not be as good as there. However, I do expect the same in customer service. That was the single most deplorable customer service experience o have ever had at a winery. Doesn’t know a thing about the wine, not willing to allow customers to try what they may like. The cashier did come after us and offered to buy us a glass of wine due to the exceptionally poor service we had received, but the damage was done. I will stick to one of the other many Christmas tree farms in the area for my trees and drive the twenty minutes to Chepachet when I feel like wine tasting!!!!

Christmas trees are always beautiful!

Worth the drive from Boston! This year marks the second year in a row I have returned to Vanderalk for our Christmas tree. It is a wonderful family experience that is well worth the beautiful drive from greater Boston. Warm apple cider, the fresh air, and the experience of pricking out your own fresh tree is just unbeatable. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. Why would you ever want to go to Home Depot or a Christmas tree lot again?! A couple notes... 1) Bring cash (trees are $70 regardless of size), and 2) Bring your camera. This is a great place to take your holiday card photo!

Completely ignored by the man working the tasting counter. Would have liked to try their wine but after we were repeatedly looked off we felt the need to just leave. hopefully this doesn't happen often but I was very disappointed in the way I was treated. doubt I'd go back after that especially with the amount of breweries and wineries around that treat you with respect.

We go every year. Amazing that over fifteen years they still remember the first day we went and how much fun my son had. We were the only ones and they made it memorable for my kid. When you are there you feel among friends. See you guys tomorrow!!!
