Awful awful awful!!!! We thought it would be fun to support a local business for my birthday and head over for a wine tasting, blueberry picking and picnic- well, we started with the wine tasting. The girl at the table was uninterested and had no knowledge of the wine making process. She refused to pour me one wine bc i had told her I wasn’t a fan of sweet. Then she poured me a wine I didn’t like and I asked if I could taste the cranberry, since the wine she pours was not my taste. She had just opened a fresh cold bottle of cranberry wine. Did she pour me this? No. She pushed over a medicine cup with a drop of wine in it and said this was from the last bottle and “don’t worry, I didn’t drink from it” really!??? We would’ve bought a bottle. We would’ve stayed for picking and a wine freeze pop. We would’ve been return customers 100 times over. We are recently moved from Sonoma county. I understand that a winery here will not be as good as there. However, I do expect the same in customer service. That was the single most deplorable customer service experience o have ever had at a winery. Doesn’t know a thing about the wine, not willing to allow customers to try what they may like. The cashier did come after us and offered to buy us a glass of wine due to the exceptionally poor service we had received, but the damage was done. I will stick to one of the other many Christmas tree farms in the area for my trees and drive the twenty minutes to Chepachet when I feel like wine tasting!!!!
