I goto school in the area. Firstly, A+ music choices with the a range from indie rock to foreign folk music.
The staff is friendly and helpful; when asking for recommendations if one employee doesn't have the knowledge to help you they go out of their way to redirect you to an employee who does or do a quick lookup on their phone or computer to fill in the blanks.
The only negative interactions I've had at the store is when I asked to speak to the wine buyer and had to wait twenty minutes, before I finally gave up waiting and left after making my purchase. On another visit while being rung out I overheard a wine rep asking the cashier to see the wine buyer and very obviously being agitated that she wasn't around (again?). It's nice to know she doesn't just ignore customers.
Great variety in every section--sometimes a little overwhelming though lol
Edit: Carol, I appreciate the offer to speak in person, but it isn't necessary. These are the circumstances that lead to my review: I asked to speak with you and was told you were in the office, the cashier paged you and said a customer would like to speak to you. Twenty minutes later you were still in the office and I left, luckily the cashier ended up able to answer some of my questions. I understand it's impossible for anyone to be at the store 24/7, but you were at the store. I've come into the store since and waited in, an albeit short, line with one cashier, while you were preoccupied at a computer. Everyone else has put prior tasks on hold to offer help. I won't be introducing myself during future visits; I'm happy with the service I receive from other employees and management that make themselves available. Thank you and have a good day.
