Small shop with great selection. It's less than 5 minutes from Mt Auburn street, near Cambridge - Watertown line. I like coming here to choose modestly priced wine with help from knowledgeable staff. I've also enjoyed going to a couple of their tastings.

I went in and asked for flavored vodka and the cashier who was dirty looking and unkept decided to tell me “all the liquor here tastes like alcohol and we don’t mask the flavor with girly fruit flavors .” This was unacceptable

A great shop with wine bargains and high end vintages; carefully selected craft beer and hard cider; nice cheese, cured meat, and crackers; snacks, mixers, and party food; and an array of bourbon, single malt, rum, gin, and more. All run by a suave, urbane, and friendly owner, and a knowledgeable staff. You won't find better than Magnolia.

I liked this place for their selection, prices, and one long haired kind employee, but one cashier would not let me check out, because I have an out of state license. He claimed I must be at least 25 in order to cover themselves. I offered to show my passport picture on my phone, my credit card, or any other proof that I wasn't carrying a fake id. The man refused my business unless I had the original passport document. There's no reason for this kind of ignorant exclusion. Improve your policy, or at least note your ill founded restrictions on the door.

Awesome selection and a great set of staff. The weekend wine and beer tastings are a must. This place can cater to both the wine aficionados and those of us that want a great bottle with a low price. The atmosphere is local and it's a great place to ask for recommendations or questions. Don't miss the seasonal tasting events.

A superb selection of wines packed neatly in a small space. The price range for most of the wines is modest--proof that a good bottle need not cost a fortune--though there are a number of high-end bottles as well. It is a full liquor store: plenty of beer and spirits, too. But the wines are the draw and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This is unquestionably the best wine shop that I have found in the area.

I worked with Jay at Magnolia to supply the alcohol at my wedding. He was wonderful to work with from start to finish, giving me advice on what to supply at the bar, ensuring that the tables had cider for toasting, personally delivering the alcohol to the venue, taking back the alcohol we didn't end up using, etc, etc, etc. I would recommend Magnolia a thousand times to anyone in the Watertown/Boston area who needs to supply the bar for their wedding!

I've spent some time in there getting help from Brian when it comes to choosing fine scotches, he is fantastic. Highly recommend magnolia, it's the only place I'll go for wine, spirits, and beer. Well, other than a bar that happens to be right down the street, but that's for different objectives.
