Whether you’re looking for a six pack of cheap domestics, a fine wine, or liquid supplies for a Super Bowl party, Burtons is the best spot in the neighborhood. So many of the reviews here speak quite poorly of the owner or the ‘staff’ and I just don’t get it. It’s one dude there 99% of the time and he’s been nothing but friendly and thoughtful to my wife and I for the years we’ve been going in here. He’s gone out of his way to order more beers from my favorite brewery, or show me a new IPA he thinks I’ll like before it hits the shelves. Once he even gave us a cooler that came as a promotional item from a vendor. The shop may be a bit on the cozy side and a 4-pack of Nightshift might be $1 cheaper at Target, but the owner of Burtons has won me over as a loyal customer forever.

I liked the appearance and the price. But my six pack of Redds green apple Cider was expired....by 3 months..... I was very upset when I realized....

Small liquor store run by a guy who stares at you through beady eyes as you look at the beer and is generally creepy. I generally hate to come here, but when you live in the neighborhood it's convenient. On a recent pop in to pick up some waters, the guy tried to pull the credit-card-minimum-thing. I tried to be friendly and let him know I'm in there all the time and it's just for some water on a hot day. He was as adamant. I pointed out it's against his merchant agreement with the credit card company. He was pretty stubborn. So I left and bought the same things at Walgreens down the block, saved 50 cents, and paid with a credit card.

Way over priced and completely rude customer service! It was convenient because it’s so close to home that I was still willing to stop in and shop until the disgusting attitude of the owner he acts like he is better than everyone else and stares you down like you are some thief. This place was awesome when the original owner was there after they sold it went down hill save yourself some money and go to Marty’s or Gordon’s way cheaper and amazing customer service

Liquor can't be bad just because you buy it at Burton's. I am giving a 1 because of the horrible attitude. I could care less about the prices. A lot of work needs to be done to upgrade the whole demeanor of the staff.

Awful, awful service. Don’t waste your money and energy supporting this business. I wouldn’t give this owner a penny to save his life. Rude, ignorant and thinks he is the King of Newton. He is far from that. Respect goes a long way, and if your not in the business to represent and appreciate your customers then close your doors. I’m not going to be disrespected by anybody in this day and age. If your not happy with your life and want to grow old and miserable then do so. Misery gets you nowhere....this owner will die being miserable.

Found my favorite craft beer at this place. They didn't carry if before but asked them to order it and they had it there in TWO Days!! Now thats customer service that the big stores nearby don't provide. Great selection and customer service, Burton's is the way to go!

Small selection and unnecessarily expensive imho, but you can get what you need and their hours aren't bad. Definitely can't complain about location

My local liquor store, awesome beer selection (mostly craft, maybe a cooler or two for domestic stuff) plus if they don't carry your brand all you have to do is ask and they will stock it if they can. Dont know much about wine but there's a big selection to choose from, same goes for liquor
