At the present the business has a score of 4.4 over 5 and the score has been based on 16 reviews.

As you can see its rating is really high, and it's founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the rating is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are happy, is that it works.

As you know, we don't usually bother to write feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

So I was driving off by UMass Amherst Route 5 looking for somewhere to buy a gift for a friend. I see signs for a Vineyard down a turnoff and I think, "Oh, its probably a small farmstand or something". I drive across a train track down a mile of road full of industrial supply stores, gravel depots, and heavy machinery, and turn onto a dirt road leading into the woods. At this point I have pretty low expectations when loe and behold a proper Vineyard that wouldn't be out of place in the Berkshires pops up seemingly abruptly in the road. The area is beautiful, the seating stylish, and the tasting area fabulous looking. I spoke to one of the servers and they helped me pick up a bottle of wine and some kind of local brand of soda for the road. Service was great and pricing was actually quite a bit lower than I'd expect from the post-modern high scale they appeared to be going for. It is interesting to note the majority of complaints are about pricing, with a vineyard of this style and of this small size you tend to expect higher prices. The fact that one of the lower reviews lists $12 for a tasting of 5 wines to be unacceptable weirds me as that actually seems like a relatively reasonable pricing, as is I was shocked their wine was only $20 ish, as I would've ballparked it at $30 myself. All in all a beautiful place that I'd recommend to everyone, just don't be surprised that you're getting fancy vineyard prices at a fancy vineyard.

You can for a wee bit colonize a postage stamp of Southern France. The place is small. The wine is excellent. The people accommodating. The view worth bringing a blanket and friends for. I did. Will again. Deb Hohenstein

Went for the second time to the Vineyard. As usual the venue was great, good music and good wine. However it was very disappointing to not be able to purchase wine by the bottle having to buy it by the glass is very expensive. I had brought about 15 ppl with me and they too were disappointed since i had told them that it was available by the bottle. Still enjoyed the evening, however i will have to re-think future visits.

Beautiful location, delicious wines, and wonderful staff! I love spending the afternoon here. Plus: they are dog and BYO food friendly! Pack a picnic and bring your friends! Also: support your local winery and become a member, it's so worth it

No bathrooms! Only construction potties. They call everything local and have a vineyard but everything listed in Finger Lakes NY. Really weird place, obviously too big for their britches. The owner is not a pleasant woman to interact with.

Great wine and great experience! Black Birch Vineyard is a working vineyard as well as winery and tasting room. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can bring your own food or buy small snacks there. Tours and events are posted on their website. Their membership program is well worth it if you live in the area!

Black Birch is a fantastic vineyard! The staff is very friendly, the wine is great, and the setting is beautiful. Definitely recommend stopping by (or spending the whole day) if you're in the area.

Lovely winery, great wines, friendly tasting. Their new location is really nice. The cab France estate was delicious but their Vidal Blanc won me over. I packed snacks so enjoyed a glass out of the bottle of Vidal I bought. Perfect day because of the mild temps. I will definitely return. A really nice visit!

While the wine was delicious the price for the tasting was high and not posted anywhere. It was quite a shock to spend $12 per tasting of 5 wines. We did leave with two bottles but won't be back. The experience left us with a very dishonest taste in our mouths.
