Came here for dinner for my birthday last May but was surprisingly let down. Used to be my go-to spot since the food is amazing, but I haven't been inclined to go since. My family and I were seated next to the door leading to the patio and next to the hostess stand, so it was a really busy spot. I don't know if there's new management or something, but the music was much louder than I ever remember, so we couldn't even hold a conversation with each other without yelling. A friend suggested we go here for dinner next week, so I hope this was just an isolated incident.

Great dishes that always are full of flavor. Some of the higher end dishes such as scallops or swordfish are very small for price, however great the flavor is. Service can at times be slow if you are there at peak times when it is packed. Overall a great place to try at least once. Tip: fill out the 1 minute survey that comes with youe check for a free tapas coin for your next visit.

One of the nicest places to go for dinner with friends. Very high-quality food and great service. I even love their bread, which they refill for free throughout the dinner. If in a group setting, a couple small plates each and a bottle of sangria every 2 people will do the job. Amazing place overall!

The quality of the food is a mix. Some dishes (eggplant, octopus) were really good, but some are quite salty. The services was so so as the waiter didn't quite get our orders correctly. The bathroom wasn't exactly clean, either. I think it's a pretty fun place to go, but it is very pricey to dine there and I can think of many other places to spend my money on for much better food.

Great food for brunch and dinner. One of the best tapas restaurants in Boston. (My other choice is Toro) This place is always packed so make your reservations. The Make your own Bloody Mary is a great experience. They also make celebrating birthdays fun and you’ll find out why! Go for girls night or brunch with the family, all is welcome.

If there's a place that can get the award for best come back in history, give it to this place! Had a reservation for 20:00 and we had to wait close to one and a half hour to get our table. Bad experience I hear you say? Maybe, but the manager knew how to cheer some hungry people. Give them free food! Later when we ordered from the menu one of the items was missing but here comes the man of the hour with even more treats and food! In the end, this was our best food experience in Boston no matter the downsides. We need more places like this around the world! Tapas is excellent and the paella is amazing. Expect a wait every time and there will be lots of noise because the acoustics in the building are horrible. They also tend to place tables way too close together, so private conversation is difficult.

Mussels on the special list was definitely the highlight. Both got wine flights that are quite enjoyable. Beautiful setting and awesome staff. Enjoyed all tapas from brunch and regular menu. Really great quality of everything, but definitely stick to seafood. They do it right. Also, I know it's probably a lot to get dessert after all the tapas. But their flan is RIDICULOUS. Our server said it's made with condensed milk instead of cream and holy Jesus it is so damn good.

Brunch was good (food only) but the service was definitely not great. Our server was MIA for most of our meal and we ended up putting orders or requests in with other servers that we had to pull aside. One of our dishes never got put in and came out over 40 minutes late and almost all of our dishes were missing utensils. We will go back but if service is like this again we will find another tapas restaurant.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is flavorful and always delicious. Service is usually spot on.And the serving teams are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Went there on a Saturday evening with a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. I requested something to eat while waiting,for a family member we were offered their awesome bread and olive oil. Once seated our order was mixed up, however Chris (the manager) swooped in and went above and beyond to make my families first visit a special one. Chris is phenomenal! Thank you again for making our evening great. Your generosity, charm, and excellence in customer service was greatly appreciated. I'll definitely be in for my monthly Barcelona "fix" soon.

This place is the most poorly managed restaurant in the area. They have refused to accept their own gift cards, their wait times even with a reservation are 45+ minutes, and in the end the food isn't anything special at all. I'm not sure what they've done to garner such a good reputation, but the experiences I've had here have been disappointing the two times I've made the mistake of wasting my time here.

Made a reservation for the first time as to avoid the wait. Arrived early and was told to wait (no big deal). It was not until 20 minutes after our reservation time had passed that we were seated after having to repeatedly ask staff. Service was horrible, our food was brought out very slowly (was told this was due to our small table size). While waiting for the remaining 5 items our table was expecting, our waiter asked us if were were ready to wrap up and get the check. We were then brought 2 of the wrong plates before getting our full order. Staff seemed to be gathered around one spot laughing and cracking jokes instead of refilling drinks and bringing more bread. Was asked how the service was, while I was explaining the situation, the staff member walked off to the next table without listening. It wasnt until we were ready to leave that all hand became on deck to clear our table, get the check and get us out the door. Unfortunate experience, wont be making a reservation again. The food however was delicious as usual.

Really great food, but be prepared to wait for a table. We came on a Saturday night, and the expected wait was an hour, but we ended up waiting almost two hours for a table for two. There is a patio, so you can sit and get drinks while you wait though. All the food was wonderful. We had the albondigas, bikini, cucumber/tomato/mint salad, beets, scallops, and steak. We definitely overordered, and we also had drinks, but the bill came out to $40 per person. Their other location is also great! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent value: amazing food, great service and atmosphere. Finally, a place where you can have exquisite tapas and not break the bank! The food is innovative and of consistent quality. We love having our favorites, such as the Patatas Bravas, the Pulpo, and the lamb meatballs, but we always find new additions to the menu. The whole Branzino was so tasty - with crispy skin and tender meat (see photo). The Chicken Pimentos was very tender, too. Delicious!

Now this is a great place to eat. The food is amazing, it's so tasty. It is a little bit on the expensive side per dish, but the quality that you get far outweighs the price. This is a great place to go to come hang out with friends, or have a nice intimate dinner with your significant other. The vibe of the restaurant is very lively and it tends to get very busy, early and fast. So I'd suggest you to try and get there early or try and secure a reservation well in advance. Overall, this is such a wonderful and magnificent place to come visit. The servers are all very knowledgeable and make your dining experience pleasant.

Yes, it's fun and a great place to go with a group. However don't bother with the duck dish that is currently on the menu. You pay a heavy price of $12 for about one tablespoons worth of duck on a wheat tortilla, very very disappointing since I know I could go a regular restaurant and get a full duck main dish for about just double the price. Also we were finished with everything when the duck finally came, it took about one hour. The sangria was good but on the weak side. The papas/potatoes were excellent and all of us agreed we could eat them all day. The dry meat is also just excellent. I was in Madrid and Barcelona just in the last two years and this was of the same quality you would get there. Have fun and avoid the duck!

I come here on the reg, at least once a month. Great place, I almost got married here and enjoy coming here often! The decor is kind of like a combo between rustic and European. It is almost always busy and the food is very interested and mostly delicious! The serve tapas here, which are small plates, mostly inspired by Spanish dishes. Prices are reasonable especially for the area and it is always a treat to come in here!

Barcelona is a tried and true favorite. The service is generally good, the atmosphere is great & the tapas are very consistent and super tasty! I recommend the truffled bikini, croquetas, tortilla (especially the sauce it comes with), hanger steak, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. While not cheap, the prices are decent compared to other “small plates” places in the Boston area. It’s possible to get enough food for two, and a couple of drinks for around $50-60.

What can I say that hasn't been said? Such a fun place to go for a romantic date, or a fun night out with friends. Tapas are always the perfect conversation starter as you can share several small plates and try a variety of dishes without being tied down to one entree. The Brookline location is my favorite (there is one in Back Bay as well), as there is a wonderful patio facing Beacon Street. There are heaters when the temps are a little chilly, and it is perfect for people watching. I'd try and recommend dishes, but seriously, everything is good. The blistered shishito peppers are to die for - I could eat a bucket full. The seared scallops are great, and the short ribs are so tender and flavorful. But as I said, you pretty much can't go wrong with anything.

The wine is great, the tapas are wonderful (and speedily served), and the bread is some of the best I’ve ever had. Also reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend to anyone for any occasion!

The wines, cocktails, food and desserts are great! Sometimes the service is a little bit slow. Definitely make a reservation especially if you are having dinner. I also like that it closes at 2 am. A very good place to hangout, get drinks, date, talk with friends.

So good!! Huge selection of tapas to choose from. We tried 8 different tapas and were thrilled with each one, esp the choriesto w/figs and the croquettes. Dessert crepes were filled with nutella, whipped cream and ice cream...delicious!!

A constant of mine. Delicious tapas, includes veggie friendly and healthy ish options, great wine and cocktail list, and then offer half glass pours of wine which is nice if you wanna try a few. Always full. Be prepared to wait.

Awesome food! Chairs/seating is a nightmare. Sounds strange I know, my girlfriend and love good food but the chairs were so bad we had to bail after only a few tapas. Note: I'm normal sized guy, why Barcelona's why?

Best Sangria I've had. A tad on the expensive side, but delicious food (small dishes, tapas) and good wine are worth it. Very popular, so waits can be long on the weekends.
