I'm not a huge wine drinker, so I can't really speak to the selection of wines, though it seems pretty varied. They do, however, have a surprisingly interesting and unique variety of beers and ciders! They host a variety of interesting events, and the outdoor movie nights in their parking lot during the summer are especially great - you can purchase wine or beer and popcorn and enjoy it while you watch!

FIVE STARS. Wine Bin is wonderful. You get what you pay for, and in this case you're also paying for quality. There's no comparison between a hand-selected, thoughtfully managed wine offering & a megastore with second labels from big brands. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of wine that you get here. When you buy a bottle at Wine Bin you know that it's been stored properly, that someone who works in the store has actually tasted it, and that somebody will be able to refer you to something similar or something different after you're done with that bottle.

The Wine Bin is not the cheapest place for beer, wine & spirits and it is a small store, but the service is great. They show movies on Saturday evenings late spring to early fall, and the store is a great anchor for the west end of Old Ellicott City. Dave Carney works hard to make his store part of the community. That makes this store a winner.

I originally rated the wine bin 5 stars BUT tonight I went in and felt so unwanted and unappreciated by the guy working behind the counter .Today was a long day at work so on my way home I stopped by the wine bin (7pm) well the guy working felt the need to follow me around the store and when I went to the counter he didn't say hello or ANYTHING and didn't even make eye contact with me. Idk I got the feeling I wasn't even wanted in the store anything .That sucks because I live on main Street and bypass two other liquor stores on payday just so I can go into the wine bin. Maybe the owners should give him a lesson on good customer service,until then I don't thin I'll go back.

He has many times set beers aside for me to pick up at a later date. They also have a great growler station with all of the latest and greatest craft beers on tap. I highly recommend the Wine Bin.

Great wine store in a unique setting in Old Ellicott City on Main Street. A surprisingly wide selection of wines from inexpensive to more select wines and wide variety of beers. Most importantly, a great staff who are knowledgeable and very friendly. The Wine Bin also holds a number of local events including an outside farmers market and evening movies shown on the outside of the building on weekends. Check this place out!

Located in historic Ellicott City, they offer outdoor movies in the summer as well as a dog friendly "yappy hour." Cool spot, but it is pricy. I regularly see the same wines for less elsewhere.

Amazing owners are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They are dog friendly with free treats by the cash register for any furry friends that wander in. Their summer movie nights are wonderful events with the store remaining open while popcorn is served in the parking lot. If you're in the Ellicott City area and looking for your next wine/beer/spirits adventure, this place is a must!

This place is great. I read the reviews before I went, tried the place out, and the read the reviews again. The only way you're going to find out if you like the place is to try it out yourself. They dont make you buy wine or beer. They dont stare at you and make you feel uncomfortable if you're the kind of person that gets paranoid about that. You just go in and browse their selection (which has a great variety I might add). They keep track of your purchases so you can be reminded of past choices you liked.

Well curated store. Each section is very deliberate. It's obvious that a lot of care is put into the inventory that carry. While the store is of average size, and slightly lower inventory than many of similar square footage, it feels roomy, and has desirable product. Great service, great gift selection, and a few taps for growlers. Great store overall.

Decent selection of wines and bourbon. However, the prices are out of control. I bought a bottle of Jefferson's Oceans bourbon here for well over 90 dollars, right up the road at another liquor store, I paid under 70. That's a huge difference for two liquor stores that are 2 miles from one another.

The Wine Bin offers outdoor movies during the summer until mid October. You can bring your own chairs, blankets and food. Alcohol is available for purchase and popcorn is made fresh for a donation. It's a neat outing for adult friends when the weather is nice.

Visiting from out of state, went in while my husband was shopping at the record store down the street. I browsed for several minutes & made a selection. The unfriendly woman behind the counter rang up my purchase which came to $13.08. I handed her $13.10. She never offered me my change, said she had a grocery bag in the back if I wanted one. I went around the counter where they were sampling some wines. She was so rude that I just walked out. Can't think of any reason why I would ever go in there again!!

They often have impromptu wine tastings, allowing you to try something completely out of the ordinary. Wondered in at random and was surprised at the variety. High quality, wide range of wines in the 10 to 20 dollar range. Unusual wine makers that you won't fine anywhere else. If I lived around here I would be shopping regularly.

They have a very nice selection! We see lots of wines that you don't see everywhere else, some very interesting ones. The prices are the full range, so you can find a good wine for under $20 as well as more expensive. They are knowledgeable and helpful. The chocolates are an added bonus!

My husband and I wanted wine to celebrate but were very overwhelmed with the huge selection. We didnt even have to say a word and the woman working there asked what we needed. She gave a few recommendations, describing each one as she went along the shelf. They all sounded so good, we got 2 different bottles that she recommended.

Hands down best wine store I've ever been to. I usually go every 1 - 2 weeks and they always have unique and varied selections and super knowledgeable staff. They also carry a great microbrew selection. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Also, they have wine tastings every day!

I stopped in with my in-laws to find wine for the holiday. The selection is nice and the prices are reasonable, but the layout of where to find particular varieties is not obvious at first. I very much appreciated the wine tastings offered! The service was okay. The person who helped us had some very strong opinions when I mentioned a that a wine was made with organic grapes; the lecture and airing of personal pet peeves was unnecessary and annoying. Despite this, the sales person led us to two wines which were perfectly deliciously.

Attempted to patronize in the store on 11/13/16. Arrived at 12:00 but the store was still closed. No problem, we waited outside. The rudest woman on the planet arrived and opened the door, let herself in, and locked the door again. She could have at least said that the store is opening late or something, but she closed the door in our face. We waited another 5 minutes, and this woman appeared at the front door again, and let in 2 other people. I assumed she was opening the store and I attempled to walk in. Again, she closed the door in my face without saying word and locked the door again. I can understand why they would be be running late. What I don't understand is extreme rudeness of the woman with the key who let herself in and locked the door again. She could have at least acknowleged the fact that my wife and I were waiting for her to open the store. I can't tolerate rude shop employees. Good bye Wine Bin, hello Total Wine.
