Excellent $33 encrusted tenderloin medallions and $8 lobster-crab bisque. Nothing was over $40 and my entree included mashed potatoes and asperagus. Pretzel bread is also included with the meal The wine was good and I recommend spending the $8 at the tasting bar before dinner. You get to try 8 generous samples. I'd estimate it was 12-15 ounces total. Most good restaurants charge more for a 4 ounce glass plus you get to find what you like from their 47 varieties.

I really wanted to like this place, I did. But, I was not impressed. Calamari was mediocre, entrees of Steak/ahi tuna and Jambalaya were also mediocre. The only saving grace was the banana bread pudding dessert.

Me and my wife met some friends there for lunch. The lunch prices were decent the food was really good.my wife had spaghetti with meatballs I had chicken gnocchi. We both enjoyed them very much. The champagne flight was very generous I would suggest sharing with friends. the dinner prices might be a tad high but overall decent experience I would recommend checking it out.

I arrived for reservation at 6:40 P for 6:45 P time. Seated at 6:54 P with server Junita. Ordered around 7:10 lobster bisque & Grouper /Asparagus asked to have my 2 free bottles of wine served. It is 8:10 never did I get my entree. I did received my bisque only and after I asked over 3 times about it! I then asked for a fourth time for it to come out and it was not as I ordered the manager said she’d bring the corrected one right back but it is now 8:30 still nothing I asked to cancel the entree. This is one of over 7 visits. I’m a member. I am very disappointed and it just felts like they didn’t want me here! Kansas City

Wine tasting was excellent. The service was great and the wine was delicious. After we were seated for dinner on the patio, we were not greeted for 10-15 minutes. We had to ask somebody. A server came to take our drink order, another server greeted us again, then somebody totally different brought us our drinks. Our server came back and took our order, another server came to check on us, and somebody else brought our food out. The food was great, the service was weird but it was good after we asked for someone. We really liked Tatiana and felt she earned our tip the most. Maybe it was the wine, but I had so much fun overall and plan to return!

We visited Cooper Hawk for the first time yesterday about 3. A friend who dines there regularly wanted us to experience his favorite place to eat. It was just a disaster and our friend was so embarrassed. The food was great but service was more than lacking. First of all the waitress misunderstood what we ordered but we took what she brought and it was good. She did not offer to exchange it but insisted we got what we ordered. Maybe she was right. I just felt she could have said it kinder not derogatory. I noticed after we got our food every table had bread except ours. I asked our friend and he informed us we should of had it at the beginning. It took a while to get the waitress, Allison, but she did bring us some when she brought our to go boxes! During the meal we had to track her down to get drink refills. Our friend who had so much wanted us to enjoy his restaurant was so embarrassed and kept apologizing and stating "she must be new". Would we return? Probably. However, I would ensure before being assigned a table that we had a different server.

Had a great experience doing a tasting with my wife! Dropped by in the afternoon and really enjoyed the sweet tasting, my wife had stronger reds. Fantastic atmosphere and lots of wine gadgets worth a look. Definitely suggest it! Can’t wait to try the restaurant side.

We had dinner at your Easton location on Saturday - super busy, but we were seated immediately. Our order was taken around 7:15, only to be told you had run out of risotto (I ordered your mushroom crusted chicken)! Very disappointed, so the risotto was substituted with Betty’s potatoes. When my entre arrived, the chicken looked way over cooked- and once I cut into it - I was correct. Very dry and the presentation was very disappointing. My family has dined at your restaurant many times, and have always been happy with their meals, but felt I should comment on my meal. You were kind enough to comp my meal, which was very much appreciated. All other family members who dined with me were all happy with their food, and my son is a member of your wine club, so I know we will be back.

I was greeted at the door with a wine sample. What a way to start a visit! This place is great. The entrance had wine, glasses, aearators, truffles and pasta for sale. I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. I can honestly say it is the best I've ever had. My dining partner had the gnocchi which was also extremely good. A nice thing they offer is memberships which give you one or two bottles of wine a month, wine tastings and entry to several wineries. Just ask your server about it. It's very affordable. You have to go.

My wife and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary on Oct 4, 2016 at Coopers Hawk. We made reservations and were seated at the time of our reservation. We had a great server, eat good food, drank good wine and even joined the wine club. At that point we declared it our new favorite restaurant. Fast forward one week...we went out with our adult daughter to celebrate my wife's birthday on Oct 12, 2016. We had reservations for 7 and had to check-in several times before we were finally seated at almost 7:30. Meanwhile, two groups the same size or larger then ours, without reservations, were seated immediately outside...an option that you would have thought might have been offered to us along with some kind of excuse as to why it took so long to get seated. After we got seated, it took someone 15 minutes to come over and ask if we had been helped yet. 15 minutes seem to be the magic number for when our server would come to check on us...which left us without drinks twice, wrong food delivered and she never came to check to see if our food was okay after being delivered by someone else. This was supposed to be a happy occasion but the delay in seating and lack of service caused 3 unhappy customers. I hope this is all growing pains for a relatively new restaurant and I still think the food and wine is really good. But, if we experience service like this again, we will spend our money elsewhere.

I've been to this restaurant many times this year. My first visit was with my husband a few months ago and we got Sonia as our server. I believe it was also her first day! Holy moly, she was fantastic! She was so bubbly and upbeat and fun. She even got me to sign up for their wine club. Which is also amazing by the way! Ever since that visit, we've been back probably 5 times, 2 unfortunately not with Sonia as she was off those days. Tonight I am bringing my best friend and requested to be sat in Sonia's section to give her the best experience possible. Please note that the other servers we had were great, but no one has matched up to Sonia's personality and the experience she gives us! Keep up the good work girl, and we will see you tonight!

My wife and I recently had dinner to celebrate an anniversary. Our server Jawon was fantastic, helpful, polite and courteous. Chef CJ prepared a fantastic meal and even swung by our table to check on us despite a busy evening. I’ve never left disappointed and will certainly be back. Highly recommended!

My dear mother suggested we come here for lunch over the holidays and we had a wonderful time. I was able to make our reservations through Open Table with very short notice. We went as soon as they opened one Sunday. We were seated as soon as we arrived and they already had the high chair ready for our little one. Hubby and I opted to share a burger and an appetizer - Over the Border Egg Rolls. It's filled with Southwest chicken, corn, black beans, cilantro, and cheese along with tomatillo salsa, cilantro ranch, cashew dipping sauce. For our burger we chose the Bleu Cheese & Crispy Onion Burger with bleu cheese, lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo, crispy onion strings. Those onion strings were so crispy and flavorful! I could've eaten a plate of them! The fries that came with the burger were thin cut - my favorite! - and perfectly seasoned. On our way in I'd noticed their display case of chocolate truffles. Well, I couldn't resist. At the end of our meal, I ducked away to pick out two to share with my mom. Their truffle of the month was ginger, so I had to get that one! I actually can't remember what the other flavor was because the ginger was the big star! My mom loved her Leonard Burger which was big enough for her to take half home. And Mr. M loved his fish tacos. So good choices all around!

We were visiting Cincinnati and looking for a place to eat. We saw the restuarant and winery from the road and decided to stop in. On entering you are greeted by a tasting room where you can try their wines. Since it was early and we were driving we passed on the tasting but we did have lunch. The food and service were fantastic. According to the waiter, t by e wine is made there, but the grapes are from California. We will definitely stop again and try some wine as well as eat.

Food was good got compted with desserts. Took 20 minutes for Bill to arrive and the dinner plates were never picked up. Very disappointed.

I visited here once a few years ago with my family and I fell in love with the passion fruit wine. Unfortunately, they can't deliver wine to Louisiana or any other state that boarders it. Because I was in KC for a conference, I ended up buying 5 bottles to take back with me. I can't wait to visit again!

Welcome to Grand Rapids! Don't be mistaken by the location on the 28th street. Excellent food (Sushi Tacos/ Veggie Enchiladas), superb rich flavors. Enjoyed the personality of our waitress Triana - BEST of LUCK to you! Refreshing and delightful atmosphere - you get he "big" city vibe. Check it out if interested in eclectic food rather than a ton of mediocre food.

Great food and facilities but service was spotty and entrees were slow to come out. Then when ready to leave, we were told the computer system had crashed and they couldn't generate our bill! After an hour delay, we finally went to tip our waiter and tell the manager we had to leave. He rightly waived the cost of our meal and bid us goodby.

For me, this is the best restaurant in KC, bar none. The Red Wine Braised Short Ribs is pretty great, as well as the Ginger Soy Glazed Center Cut NY (KC) Strip. Whatever you get will be fantastic, but DON'T FORGET TO HAVE THE BANOFFEE PIE FOR DESSERT!!! Best dessert EVER!

Made a reservation 10 days prior. Had to settle for 3:15 reservation. When we arrive they even turned away a party of 2. However once we were seated upstairs the restaurant was not even close to full. Asked to be moved since there was a cold breeze blowing on us. Told we could not move tables even though there was plenty of open seats. We were there from 3:15 to 5:30. During that time the tables were only 1/3 full. Not sure why they did not want to fill their tables. If i owned this place i would not be happy that many visitors were told there is no seating available even though there was plenty of available. Slow service. Dirty silverware. Sat with used appetizer plates in front of us even though multiple servers and managers walked by. Food was average. Very disappointed with overall experience. I have eaten at several other Cooper's Hawks in other cities and this was not even close to the experience i have had at other locations. Will not be going back.

This was my third time eating there. The first two times were great. This third time was a waste of money and calories. I had the braised short ribs and risotto. The beef though tender lacked seasoning. The "risotto" was more short grain rice than the risotto I am accustom to eating. It was all swimming in a salty poor quality beef boullion broth. The top shelf margarita was weak. The the berry and crumb top of the lemon wine cheesecake had a greasy aftertaste.

Hummus appetizer was great. That's about all I can say. The short ribs were very disappointing. There were no rib bones. All they were was a pot roast that was sliced up and served over a bed of mashed potatoes. Very dry and chewy. The "crispy" onion rings were soggy. Servers are grossly understaffed. They need help with bus boys or bus girls. Server forgot our bread, forgot our silverware, forgot our olive oil, forgot our plates. The place is also a sorry place if you want to catch any kind of sporting event at the bar. Sorry to say, but I won't be coming back. There are much better options in Annapolis.

Mediocre food, worse service. The waitress acted as if it was a hassle to do her job. We asked about their charcuterie when it was set on the table. "Its cheese" she said while walking away. None of the dishes we were served justified the price paid. At the end of the meal we asked for espresso and waited 15 minutes for it. The waitress came back and told us the machine had been broken for two weeks. We asked for coffee instead. "Well, I'll have to make some." Such a shame she had to do her job. Completely ridiculous.

Tonight i had the worst experience in this restaurant. My husband and I have been wine club members since 2015 and we used to love doing our monthly tasting. Used to... Tonight we waited in line for more than an hour and a half for the tasting. Fist come, first serve was a joke... i even told a lady we were waiting in line fir more than an hour, she just did not care and got the next spot after waiting 15 minutes. After this lady finished her tasting, she screamed next to me..."gotta love wine, is just as sour as you". Such lack if respect. Such lack if control from Cooper Hawk side. This is not the first time i got cutoff by people, but i mever felt this disrespected. I think i will be dropping our membership soon, it just nit the same experience.

Cooper's Hawk is one of my favorite places to go for brunch on the weekends! We're members and receive two bottles of wine per month + two free tastings. The membership is definitely worth $38. We look forward to it every month. This location gets severely crowded on Friday nights and Saturdays and it's almost impossible to get in for a tasting unless you get there right at 4pm.

No reservation on a Thursday evening was 1.5 hour quoted time frame. After 1 hour 45 minutes I asked if my table was really ready. The hostess stated they are running behind. After 2 hours I was seated in the bar area at a booth. There were many available tables but not enough staff. Very frustrating experience.

Absolutely, NO STARS! (It just made me choose one in order to post!!!) Terrible experience! Terrible food!!! Made a reservation that we had to wait for! Then finally we were given the worst table and had to ask for a better area. You think if u make a reservation u would have the best seating. Pretzel bread was burnt! Two entrees were not cooked properly! My husband had the worst looking steak I’ve ever seen! (Thin, stretchy, fatty, unseasoned) My fish was soggy & lacked flavor and taste! Mac and cheese was the worst!!! Brussel sprouts was awful! (Burnt and like a child threw together the ingredients!!) The waiter put a table of 6 that sat after my husband & I before us. We were last priority and spent most of our time just sitting around waiting! Waited the whole time for every little thing!!! The only good thing was a pineapple martini! Food was awful! Can’t believe I paid for barely Eaten horrific food!!!!!!! Such a shame for a decent looking place and for their over priced menu! They need a new menu! New management! Better chef! Friendlier, & more professional staff! I will never recommend or be returning ever again!!!!

I’ve had better service at Bob Evans. 20 minutes for water, 20 more for drinks, over an hour for meals, and the place was 1/2 empty on a Saturday night. The food was good but not an hour good. Soup was sloshed all over the sides of the bowls, waiter was stoned (I think), just a terrible experience.

Our server forgot to come back and take our entree order after he delivered our appetizer, and we ended up waiting an extremely long time before catching someone else's attention to take our order. We had to ask for the complimentary pretzel bread to be warmed, because it was brought to us cold and hard. I started to feel sick halfway through my meal and was unable to finish. And the women's restroom sinks had obvious mold growing from underneath the rim. The only reason I did not give it a 1 star is because I have had better experiences in the past. However, the restrooms always leave something to be desired.

Annapolis Maryland location. All I can say is SIMON.. He made the whole experience at this resturant worth while. He is part of the Management team, he checked up on my fiancé and I making us feel really important. My fiancé really enjoyed her birthday dinner and wine at this spot. My wife in I came in town for business and had the luxury of meeting some friends for dinner. Based on reviews we chose copper's. The atmosphere was good and the location was a quick walk from the hotel; however that was the end. It took over an hour to get our food, they messed up drinks...how do you mess up a vodka/tonic? We recieved our food and the vegetables were undercooked, and some were cold. Three of the meals were luck warm at best, but we were so hungry after traveling all day, we just forced it down. Note - my wife's scallop/shrimp risotto was good even cold. Based on the I'd recommend any of their risottos. The mannager/leader on duty came to offer us free desert for the significant delay. We took him up on the offer, but even those were not that great, with the exception of the chocolate cake. This place does have high ratings, but this was our experience and I'd be hesitant to return. Other than that, the wine was very good.

I’m from Chicago and I’ve been to multiple Cooper’s Hawk, decided to take my families to try this Easton location. This is by far the worst location! The waitress was not friendly; food took almost a hour; waitress can not tell the difference between cilantro and parsley; no water or soda refill without asking. Very disappointed and will not be back again.

We met recently at CH with a group of about 12 former classmates from OSU. We tasted wines, ordered appetizers and had dinners. Our server Kelly could not have been more accommodating. She did everything she could to make our dinner enjoyable despite confusing orders that our party gave her. She carefully and cheerfully sorted it all out for us with 6 separate checks. The appetizers were excellent and the wines were good. My brother and I did not order meals making do with appetizers. Would recommend if only because Kelly was so good. Food was good as well and a very pleasant environment.

Our waiter gave us our orders and then we never saw her again. Had to go up to the bar to tell someone we needed to close our bill, and even after that it took about 10-15 minutes for the manager to eventually come to our table. Definitely would not recommend if you need to be somewhere after.

We ordered the white and the red wine flights. Both were good and it was fun to compare. You need to use the website to get a fuller understanding of the wines' tastes. The food was above average. It was a tad pricey but was delicious.

My wife and I have eaten at Cooper's Hawk several times, and have always enjoyed the food. The wine pairings are very good, and the service is great. However, we always walk away with two gripes. The first is the price. I never quite feel that the food is worth what we paid for it, and I'm usually glad that someone has given us a gift card. Secondly, there have been two times when we have been a party of four that was seated at a table. In each of these cases, the table was much too small for the quantity of plates and glasses that ended up on it for a meal. It makes the dining experience a bit awkward.

We came in on a Sunday night and did an opentable reservation hours ahead of time. On opentable they had free spots every 15 minutes. When we arrive they told us it’d be a few minutes, then 10 minutes later they told us they couldn’t seat us inside the main restaurant but could seat us on the covered patio. No apologies were made and no effort to be accommodating. We were seated in the covered area in the pouring rain and ordered basic salads and sandwiches. The food did not arrive for AN HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES for VERY SIMPLE food. The waiter acted like it was no big deal for such a long wait and some of our party had to leave early the wait so ridiculous. Then one person wanted dessert but when we put the order in for a simple piece of key lime pie the pie did not arrive after 20 minutes. We then just asked for the check because it was truly god awful service. No apologies or offers to reduce prices were made despite the awful place we were seated and the way we were treated. The food was okay but absolutely not worth the truly horrendous service. If this is what it’s like on a Sunday evening dead imagine how dreadul it is on Friday or Saturday night. Life’s short, don’t waste it here.

We made reservations on a Saturday night, a very busy night on the Plaza for sure. Our waiter was very busy despite most of the restaurant being completely empty. Several open tables. We ordered some appetizers which were good, but our bread took 45 minutes to reach our table. About an hour and a half after we had been sitting there our food arrived. All four meals were cold as if they had been sitting out for a long while before being brought to the table. Would not go again as the price was too high for mediocre meals.

We love coming to Cooper's Hawk for any occasion. The food is always good, dessert is delectable and the wine is superb. Highly recommend sitting in the bar area of you want to enjoy a game. Otherwise, they have the quiet dining area upstairs. If you love wine, become a wine club member.

Hostess ruined our experience of ever going back. Came in with my son and husband at 5:00pm and restaurant was empty. Hostess looked down at my son before I ever said a word and she said “we are on an hour wait and won’t be able to get you in.” We have been to other Cooper Hawk’s and loved them but have no plans to ever go back.

Food and drinks are always good. Service is beyond slow and entrees coming out before appetizers is unacceptable. If you go with a group, always double check your bill. 4th time in a row there has been an issue with 10+ people.

My salmon was really good. And they have some excellent wine. Service seemed rather chaotic and slow - we got our dinner before our wine, which is a big no in a place where you have numbers in the menu to pair your food with your wine. They also did not have our table ready at the reserved time - but they apologized for that by taking our wine off the bill.

We waited for 45 mins to get a table when we had called for a reservation. Upon arriving we were told we didn’t have one. We were told they were setting up a round table for us. Then they were pushing tables together. Another hostess came to talk to us after 45 mins and asked if we wanted her to call her friends at other restaurants to get us in else where. No manager came over to assist. No one apologized. We were treated like it was our fault.

This missing 5th star is because service was incredibly slow, and I received a different dessert than I ordered. However, the atmosphere upstairs is nice and the food, even my mistaken dessert, is excellent. I attended restaurant week and had the tortilla soup, which is cilantro forward. I loved it. I had Dana's Parmesan Crusted Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and a beautiful tomato relish that tastes a lot like a caprese minus the mozzarella. For dessert I wanted the Gran Marnier truffle, but ended up with the regular chocolate truffle. It was also very good. I would absolutely eat here again. It's a little spendy for me so it will probably be a rare treat for me. I highly recommend it, but only if you have some time to burn. After polling the ladies who were dining with me, they all reported that service at this restaurant has been slow every time they visited. So just make sure you're not in a hurry and you won't be disappointed.

Very busy place. I suggest not to go in the evening it was jammed pack. We waited 2 hours to get a seat. The food was good but super cold. I sent my soup back to get warmed up and it came back cold again. Waitress was very nice ans sweet but kept forgetting our drinks. The best part of the whole experience was the dessert. Not sure if i am willing to give this place another try. I heard so many good things about this place for only my first time i get bad service.

This was our 2nd time dining at Cooper's Hawk & Nevin made it a GREAT birthday experience for my Boyfriend & I. Nevin knows just what to suggest from the food to the perfect wine pairings. Went to coopers hawk with a large funeral party. They had a set buffet with nothing that i was able to eat due to allergies. I wanted to order off the menu but was told by lance that I was able to do so because of set menu. I told lance that I was willing to pay but he told me I would have to go to the host stand a get a table and that I would not be able to sit with my family because no server was assigned to the area. I've been a server for 15 years and never would I habe denied the reasonable request of a guest. So my first experience with coppers hawk will be my last.

My husband and I went here for an early Saturday dinner. It was busy, so we sat at the bar. Food and atmosphere were good, but the service needs some improvements, especially given the price paid. We ordered Thai lettuce wraps as an appetizer (quite tasty - would recommend), although we got served all three sauces, despite asking for it gluten-free (only one sauce is GF). I ordered a hot chocolate when we first got there and didn't receive it until *after* my entree. No real apologies given - waitress just said they couldn't find the whipped cream (odd excuse...). We didn't receive silverware and had to ask for it when we got our entrees. Our water was never refilled, nor were we asked for seconds on our ordered drinks. Waitress also never checked in with us on how our food was. It seemed like there was plenty of staff, but everything took a really long time. Again, I was really disappointed in the quality of service. That's a big part of why we go to eat out. My husband and I enjoyed our meals, but I doubt we'll return again.

The food was very good as was the service. However, one member had a special dietary requirement due to a specific food allergy (dairy). The chef was very unresponsive to easy modifications. One was to just boil rice without butter. No go. Also, there is absolutely no place to hang coats. Winter in Kansas City...REALLY!?!?

I went here attending a friends bachelorette party. We did a wine tasting. They managed a big crowd with ease and catered to our specific needs. For example- I am allergic to red wine and the server allowed me to customize my flight because of that. The tastings were the most generous I have had. Typically, I have only gotten 4 wines in a tasting but they give 8 here! Would highly recommend. In the tasting room, it’s standing only so just prepare for that.

If you're looking for a quiet dinner, this isn't your place. We were close enough to touch our neighbors and hear their conversations. Food was good and had a gluten free menu. A really good gluten free roll. Iced tea was bad and they did nothing to change it. I'm sure if it was coffee, it would have been rebrewed immediately.

Very good choice when staying or down in the Country Club Plaza area. This was my first time to eat here, and I sat at the bar. Service was excellent. I had potstickers for an appetizer. The were outstanding and could have been a meal by themselves along with the Asian slaw that came with them. For dinner, I had the crispy Asian pork. I would call that very good, but they were a little too done making them dry. They have a good wine selection but only a few beers (though decent). I quest that’s why it’s a winery. I can’t complain too much about that.

Had a good meal for the entire family. We had gone in the Labor Day weekend but it was full house and more than an hour wait time; so had to come back again for the following week; so the wait was good. It is a very good interior and good waiter for our table. The food is good but little highly priced. Kids loved Mac and cheese and had a good size portion but the kids pizza was little less portion but together with fries and fruits they had a good meal. Overall it’s good experience.

Recently we had dinner at Cooper’s Hawk in Kenwood. Arrived early 4:30 but couldn’t get a table. I am a 2 bottle member, but could not get near the tasting bar. It was so crowded. There was a table available in the bar area. Our Server ,John Lloyd, was there to take our order immediately. From that point the evening was perfect. John was so knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. The food was perfection.

Very very disappointed. They were out of 2 of the appetizers we wanted and then my meal was horrible. I got the surf and turf with the filet medallions and I ordered it med well and one was bloody rare and one was burnt and they were tiny. I mean tiny! The grouper was extremely small and was all breading. The sweet potatoes were hard. I was so excited to go there. It was my birthday and it sucked. I won’t be back. The one and only thing that was good was the Almond wine. That was the 1 and only star this place gets from me!

There are 6 of us who meet every month at CH to do our tasting and then have dinner. Service at the tasting bar was very slow. Kara did her best, but there was another gentleman who served only a few people at the end, then would pass us by while we had empty glasses. Time and again we would ask if we could get a taste, he would ignore us. We ended up sitting in the bar area for dinner. The food was great. My sister asked for parmesan cheese to go with her chicken piccata. By the time she finally got it...10 minutes later, her dinner was completely cold. She waited for another 10 minutes while they warmed it. By that time the rest of us were done. She then ordered dessert...she had to go up to the manager at the desk to complain another 15 minutes passed. She finally got it. Overall, very disappointed with the overall service tonight. We come here every month and we normally have an exquisite time. It was a Monday and they weren't busy. Just not very happy as a member. The manager did comp her dinner and dessert, which they should have considering the poor service.

I have been several times recently. I went for my birthday in November and I went back with my six year old granddaughter in December because she loves the chicken pot stickers. Every visit is a great experience, but when you find an upscale restaurant that appeals to a six year old and a sixty + years old, you have a real winner! Open only three weeks so far and a pleasure to visit. The place fits a Traverse City wine vibe. The chicken parmesan is so flavorful, large portion, and yummy. We also had the spicy pork and grouper. Food is great. My preference in wine is the Old Zin. Plenty of samples and other wine choices. Everyone is smiling. Large decanters on tables - to quote Charlie Willis from “One Good Year” - it’s filled with the patina of a bygone era. Tionna was our guide through the night.

Really fantastic food... Beautiful, modern, and (surprisingly) comfortable atmosphere. They have a fresh menu with options ranging from pasta, steak, and even gnocchi... Also, many vegan options... Of course their wine is, for the $, some of the best in the city. We had fantastic service from our waitress and even the front of the house managerwent above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of we had no issuesthey just went out of their way to get us dessert and make sure we were taking care of it was a breath of fresh air... Is it just me or is customer declining more and more each year...? Not usually a pessimist but coming from a customer service background... I am flabbergasted how much the hospitality industry has changed.

Appetizer came out in time, entree came out on time, but my daughter’s kids meal took about 25 minutes to come out. The manager took care of it, but it was a big inconvenience of course. I just spent over $100 for arguably the lousiest meal I’ve had at a restaurant all year. Here’s why: I ordered Braised short rib with mushroom risotto with truffle oil. Here’s why it was lousy: A) Real Risotto is cooked using arborio rice in chicken stock, finished with cream and Parmesan. Not here. What I got is long grain white rice cooked in water like Uncle Ben’s. I could blatantly tell. Arborio rice is so important because as you stir the rice, the starch in Arborio breaks down and thickens the sauce. The chicken stock and cream add richness to the sauce giving it a creamy, smooth flavor. This was not risotto. It was microwaved white rice. B) Short rib was cheap Chuck “short rib.” The best short rib comes from the plate, meat outside the ribs, close to the bone giving it so much flavor. Chuck “short rib” comes from the tough shoulder muscle. I could tell from the length of the grains of meat it came from Chuck (the same stuff they grind up for burgers). C) The “short rib” was over cooked. Braising takes time, but braised meats dry out if left in for too long. The flavor dissipates into the braising liquid. This was chalky and flavorless, an indication of overcooked meat. D) The short rib braising liquid was bland. Which is odd because usually overlooked meat means a fantastically flavored braising liquid. But this was 1 dimensional. I didn’t get a deeply flavored sauce. It was boring. E) Truffle oil was near nonexistent. It’s super pungent, awesome stuff. I did get a few hints of it, overall it was absent from the dish. They must have used a few drops. I think they skimped to save a buck, because it ain’t cheap. The dish reflected it. F) For dessert I got the Reese’s peanut butter cup cookie with ice cream. I was excited. What we got was a burnt peanut butter cookie, with clumps of melted milk chocolate and no Reese’s peanut butter cups. The cookie was on a hot skillet, but still crumbled like a cold cookie. It was tough, bitter, and didn’t live up to the name. I’ll be embarrassed if I ever have to go to Cooper’s Hawk again. The ambiance is fantastic, service is wonderful, so I gave it 2 stars. But I paid for food that should be quality. Instead I got a plate full of nonsense. UPDATE: After responding to my review, I followed the steps Cooper’s Hawk suggested. No response. All smoke and mirrors.

They have an extensive Gluten Free menu and I had Country Italian Sausage which has the best Tomato Garlic Cream sauce ! So nice to eat a wonderful Gluten Free meal thanks to the great cooks. Are you kidding me? What a disaster. Do not be fooled by the decor or the fact that it has "Winery" in the name. Host stand horrendous. Had a reservation, but ended up waiting - and waiting and waiting 40 minutes for our table. Wine bar area staff so preoccupied with trying to sell memberships we could not get their attention, so we browsed over over-priced merchandise in store. Meanwhile a member of our party went upstairs and personally viewed table after empty table. Many needed to be cleared. We got a table (after practically pitching a fit) only to have a non-existent server. Someone else poured water. When the server finally did come they asked if we were "wine club members" we said no and they proceeded to try and sell us one. Lol Btw, "What wine DO you have this evening?" Food is the EXACT same as Cheesecake Factory down to the presentation. Thai Lettuce okay. Eggrolls lukewarm. Different servers brought out our orders staggard, and by the time the final dish came we had to leave for an engagement. Place was LOUD!!! Chaotic and loud. None of us will be back. Too much competition on the Plaza to waste our money, or our time with on a second chance with.

Came out with my wife. My wife and I were waiting in line for about 45min when another group of people were already drinking and they invited their friends to cut us. Of course us minorities didn’t want to say anything because we didn’t want to be another statistic causing a scene or making it sound like we were causing a scene. So we let them and the bartender saw it happening. I felt like he should had said something but didn’t. Idk if he felt they would tip better. But it shouldn’t have happened and now my wife and I have been waiting over an hour and 30min. She’s in heels because tonight was a celebration. Poor service. Nice to know minorities don’t have a place at all In a place like this..

Cooper’s Hawk is a great establishment. Every time I come here the food and service is impeccable and I’m always counting down until I can visit again. The wine tasting on the main floor is great, the bartender made us really fun drinks(ask for the apple pie) and the cake pops were delicious. Upstairs is the restaurant and it has such a nice ambiance, not too hipster and not too stuffy. All the dishes are delicious, my favorite appetizer is the Mexican drunken shrimp. The braised short ribs for an entree are cooked to perfection. Wonderful experience every time!

I absolutely love this place, if you are a wine lover you must check Cooper's Hawk. Great wine and big variety. Affordable wine, wine tasting, and membership. Foods also amazing, great place for anniversaries or celebrations. Chocolate truffles are a must have. The staff is incredible, my favorite Tracee. Ask for her, you won't regret it. Don't forget to tip your bartender.

Wait was nearly two hours, but luckily found a table at the bar. Brussell sprout appetizer was incredible, as was the Butternut Squash Gnocchi. Biggest drawback was how loud it is in the wine tasting area. People were literally screaming conversations at each other. Wish the tasting area was in back part of building and restaurant in front so you don't have to push your way through the screaming wine tasters who have no clue they are standing in anyone's way in order to get to the hostess stand.

Great food, service & seating NOT so much.... came in yesterday for a late lunch, this is my 2nd time coming to the Annapolis location, first time was great overall, this time definitely not. Seating was bad, we sat outside in the direct sun, they have outdoor seating which is covered partially and the other half uncovered, well I think CH should look into installing retractable shades on the half that's not as it gets very uncomfortable in the summer due to direct heat/sunlight. We saw busboys walking around with food, but had no idea to which patrons the food & drinks belonged to (eyes rolling), then when the food arrives (finally), we had to ask for cutlery unless we wanted fo eat with our bare hands, again busboys walking around with there heads in the clouds not knowing which patrons needed cutlery, I at the end walked up to the service station and grabbed our own! Doubt I'll give CH another try in the future, management should consider all of the comments I've made as you've lost a future patron. ✌

My wife and I eat here every year on our anniversary, and a few times in between. The bruschetta is a great appetizer, especially if the bread is freshly grilled. In my experience the wait staff rarely makes mistakes, and on the off chance they do it tends to be caught before I comment on it. The wine list is extensive (as you would expect from a winery) and the food is phenomenal. I don't tend to stray from surf and turf but everything I've had has been great. They gave us glasses of champaign because it was our anniversary. We'll be back, 100%.

The food and table service were awesome. I had a delicious wine with a pasta variant--sad the gnocchi was out--and wife had the baramundi. We found the food to be well balanced and excellent. The initial seating was odd though, as it isnt very clear where to go, and when we asked, the snarky toned response of "you dont have a reservation...do you" seemed odd to our question of "can we get a table in the restaurant."

This is my 3rd time at Coopers Hawk Winery. As always, the food great as was the wine. I got the peppercorn burger, which is a really thick crusted burger. It was more a medium vs the medium rare I ordered but that was ok. Our waiter was friendly and efficient.

Recently went to Cooper Hawk and had a great business dinner. Food was delicious and we were amazed at how quickly we were served on a busy night. Our server encouraged us to join the "wine club" which we did, and we returned a week later for our first wine tasting. If you love wine, this is a MUST - enjoyed a great selection of 8 wines to taste with a friendly and knowledgeable server who described each. Everyone is super friendly and you can see why this place is packed - great food, great wine, and great service.

First, let me say, I was very reluctant to write this review as I love this franchise! I have visited both the Reston and Annapolis locations. And I must say, the Reston location has superior service to Annapolis location. After visiting the Annapolis location 3 times, I decided to write this review. Each time there was been a lack of inventory on the most popular wines, subpar food presentation and taste, and rushed or inadequate service. I am a wine club member and visit this location because it is the closest to me, however, I would rather take the hour drive to Reston for a much better dining experience...

Great place, especially if you really enjoy wine! Many patrons were at the wine-tasting bar and seemed to really be enjoying the selections. The wife and I aren't really "wine-people" (although we'll have a glass on occasion,) so we didn't partake of one of the mainstays of this particular venue. We did, however, try the burgers (she the standard cheeseburger and myself "The Leonard") and they were both OUTSTANDING! It had been a LONG time since we enjoyed a burger as good as those at Cooper's Hawk, and we were very pleasantly surprised. We expected "good," but we received "exceptional." We both also had the Asian Slaw, which was fresh, flavorful and overall excellent. The only reason I wasn't able to give a full 5-stars was due to the prices being a bit on the high-side, $38 (including tip) for lunch is a bit much when no alcohol is involved, but the food was above and beyond, so I actually didn't mind so much. If you only go for the food, you'll do well, but if you also partake of their wines, I have a feeling you'll be even more impressed than I was.

To give it two stars is extremely generous! We had reservations at 8:30 for 4 and got sat in a timely manner ...but we didn’t finish eating till 11:30/12!!! That says something ! Our waitress was horrific! After at least 20 minutes of waiting and STILL NO WATER!!! I had to ask one of the staff there for water which was brought out in paper cups too. After that happened our waitress FINALLY came over with an attitude too clearly didn’t care about us and didn’t even apologize. We put in our drink orders and asked for some bread ....20 minutes later not even our drinks came out ! We finally spoke to the manager and he was absolutely marvelous which is why i am giving a 2 star and not one . He was so kind and helpful but Did it change her attitude and timeliness ? Absolutely NOT ! She was so slow ...we had to ask 2-3 other waiters and waitresses for bread or for SILVERWARE! She didn’t even give us our silverware! Then we ordered a beer...a single beer ...30 minutes later NO BEER! We had to go to the bar to get the beer we ordered and then she didn’t even apologize and tried to charge us again for the beer! We were disgusted by her the only quick thing she did was bring our checks! Do NOT go here if you don’t want to wait 4 hours to have a meal! Food was delicious though so order take out if you want to! Never have we been treated so unprofessionally and poorly

My boyfriend & I chose this place for a special birthday dinner. The food, wine,atmosphere & service were excellent. Its the best blue cheese wedge salad Ive ever had! Our waiter gave us multiple wines samples before we even chose our wine. Fun to test & taste My beef was moist & seasoned perfectly but not too peppery or salty. Actually the food is better than expected. Rood raw materials well prepared. Being a self proclaimed wino, the wines are quite pedestrian. That is to say representative of the grape and vinted well. Just don't look for any enticing surprises. A great place for those wanting to expand their wine experience beyond basic American Cab and Chard. Their Pinot actually shows the fruit side of the Burgundy grape without being 'over-built' body-wise like many of that CA Pinot. Cudos for that. They even have a Concord grape based wine to sample. Not that you should want to have a full glass but everyone should experience this as part of learning the wide variety of wine.

Haven't had anything from the menu that wasn't delicious I especially love the veggie burger...now you must get there early because they tend to run out. Edit: We went back tonight and had an even better time. We found a dessert wine that we really like. Please do yourselves a favor and give them a try. You won't be disappointed. *end edit. We did the wine tasting, which was a lot of fun. I wasn't wowed by any of the wines though. I did not join the monthly wine club, since none of the wines were exceptional. I had the Blackened Tuna as my entree. This was excellent. Perfectly prepared. The service was great (very attentive but not overbearing) and I really liked that we could take a bottle from the tasting with us to our table. The food is reasonably priced for the level of quality. If I had been more impressed with the wine, I would have given 5 stars, but this is a nice place to bring a date. I think this would also be a great place for lunch.

Extremely poor customer service and disrespectful staff! We had a going away for a military member here and they would not allow us to make a reservation for more than 12 people. We had a bigger party show up but the restaurant was nearly empty (only 2 other tables had people at them) and there were many tables nearby to seat the extra people. We were there during off peak hours as well. Our extra people sat at a table and were rudely told they were not allowed to sit there by management. This is an unacceptable way to treat customers. One of the managers took a member of our party (who was in uniform) aside and berated her that we had too many people and were confusing the wait staff. This is extremely disrespectful and poor customer service!! I was appalled to hear the next day that he was so rude to a customer. We tried to make it easier for the wait staff by putting all of the orders on one check for our party to sort out at a later date. The majority of our party are members of the military and many are wine club members who after this terrible service will be cancelling their memberships. The restaurant was not busy and there was no reason for the wait staff to not work with us to have sit close together. The rudeness and disrespect of the management staff is appalling and needs to be addressed at a higher level. NO customer deserves to be treated in that manner but especially the men and women who volunteer to fight for this country. We will be making sure that everyone we know is aware of how terrible this location treats their customers and military members.

We had such a great experience here for date night. The atmosphere is so cozy and the waitress was one of the most genuinely helpful and responsive we’ve ever experienced. Their wine selection and food offerings are amazing and I can’t wait to go back to try more. AMAZING! Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. Any steak from Cooper's Hawk is well worth it, as well as the wine. I had the Rhubarb Wine and it was purely delicious. We went for a birthday, and the waiter sent us away with a whole bottle of wine for free, so needless to say the service is impeccable. Make reservations because it gets crowded quickly here!

Pretty underwhelming entrees considering the prices. My pasta dish looked to be plated by Helen Keller and the sides on my girlfriend’s plate were undercooked. This is basically fake fine dining in a chain restaurant. If you want a dining experience w/ absolutely zero regrets, spend the extra $10 per entree and goto Embers down the street. Will not be returning. $80 between two people for dinner should be damn near flawless, and this not.

Three 6-top tables sat for over an hour after receiving their checks and no one, from wait staff to managers, tried to get them to move on. I first experienced Cooper's Hawk in Chicago and then again in Richmond and ever since I having been dying to have one near me in Maryland! I visited the Annapolis location over the weekend and the experience was great! In the wine tasting area we were helped by Taylor, Kasey and Amanda (from Richmond location) who were so friendly and knowledgeable on the wines offered! Taylor spent the most time with us and I will definitely seek him or Kasey out on my next visit since I am now a Cooper's Hawk wine club member!!! We also dined upstairs and that was great as well. While all the kinks of opening a new restaurant may not be out yet which I completely understand visiting in the second week of opening I will tell you the management team is paying close attention to what is going on. I ordered a salad with no tomatoes and my salad came out with tomatoes no big deal I am not allergic I just hate them so I picked them out. When the waitress saw that she apologized and I told her not to worry about. When she took my plate back her manager saw it and came out to apologize. His apology was sincere and he also removed the item from the bill. It was totally not necessary as I enjoyed the rest of the salad but definitely appreciated that they were paying attention! Went here on a date with a friend to catch up. The decor is amazing stated and contemporary. The staff in the establishment is well mannered n prompt. The food is amazing I had the short rib grilled cheese n Classic tomato soup. Honestly I'm very happy my friend introduced me to this place and the best food I've ever had. Now I'm hoping I can learn to made tomato soup half as good as theirs because Campbell's doesn't compare. If the chef canned it he could probably make a million even if he used traditional canning small batches n sold it in house.

We we're pleasantly surprised that the food was as spectacular, prices reasonable, and the service, oh the service, was exceptional. The waiter was friendly, so damn helpful with the choice of food and wines, that we were delighted that we sat where we were. He new how to prep us for the eclectic menu, and made just the right recommendations. Our food was out of this world, and we enjoyed every bite, passing bites around the table like school kids. Ate there for the first time today and enjoyed it very much. The store layout was interesting. The first floor featured a bar for wine tasting that was long enough to host many occupants. The food was delightful and had appropriate portion sizes. Our waitress was extraordinary. She was pleasant and freindly with detailed knowledge of the menu. The only reason I didn't rate a 5 star was due a couple of things on the menu not available. The price was on the heavier side but the quality of the experience made up for it.

I tell you, Jim is a fantastic host. He was knowledgeable about the wine since he was with the wineries in California. The wines themselves are very good with the reds being the best. The Tempranillo Merlot was fantastic. There is a standalone bar downstairs that has a modern but not overly done feel. Great place for great wine!

We are members at Copper' s Hawk. We love the experience and the people. Over the weekend we hosted a party here and our guest also enjoyed the tasting and food. We've had better service but I'll attribute that to the large party. Update: Our waiter, Adam failed to inform us of the 2 free bottles of wine offered to members while dining there on July 4. Once the check come out we saw the promotion posted on the receipt. Sucks!!

Anniversary dinner with my wife. I ordered the scallops and exchanged brussel sprouts for asparagus. When I got the dinner there were 5 small scallops and 4 strands of asparagus. The taste was good, but there wasn't enough food. I went home and ate. I doubt I will be back

Ordered from the carryout menu. Staying at a nearby hotel and thought it was very convenient. Gave the order taker my name and hotel I was staying at.Ordered the prime rib sandwich and fries. Said 20-30 minute so arrived at the appropriate time to no sandwich. Said they were out. No phone call to let me know, no apology whatsoever. Not a way to treat a new customer. I will certainly share my experience with hotel so no other guests are disappointed.Very very bad customer service.I won't be back!!!!

I will like to thank our server Rebecca for our outstanding service during our visit to celebrate my sister's surprise birthday dinner. I flew in from Dallas and after careful research, I chose this restaurant from what other folks were recommending through reviews. I'm glad this was the restaurant we chose as the food was delicious, the cocktails were perfection, the ambiance was right and of course our party of seven was just right. We started with two appetizers, Mexican Drunken Shrimp and the Sweet & Crunch Shrimp were both scrumptious. I ordered the Chicken Madeira which was absolutely amazing. The chicken was moist and tasty, the potatoes were tender and seasoned perfectly. My substitution of the asparagus to the oven-roasted veggies was the perfect choice to make the entree delicious. Everyone at our table was raving about their entrees, so I was happy that the experience was more than I had anticipated. We ended our night tasting their Salted-Caramel Creme Brulee, which I must recommend that you try if you have enough room in your belly. I will definitely come back and look for a location close to me.

Good food, good wine. But there was a bit too much pushiness to get us to join their wine club. I just wanted to enjoy my meal, and not find out how I could save money on my bottle of wine by signing up for a club. The place was way too busy for my taste. I needed to navigate through a rather dense crowd just to get past their wine shop and into the less crowded restaurant.

The service was friendly but slow, and focused on hard selling the ‘almond sparking wine’ even after we said three times we didn’t want it or like it. This was followed by an interruption for a sales pitch on their membership business model. A better dining experience might look like focusing on the customer instead of over selling and keeping the membership sales pitch in the tasting area not the dining room. The shrimp appetizer was delicious, but the Shrimp Scampi entree was way over cooked and the sauce was bland. The dining room design and material selection is tasteful but bright lights diminished the mood. It’s on the premium end of chain restaurants: For the price point, I prefer a higher quality local restaurant for dinner. I may be willing to give it another chance for lunch.

The plethora of 5-star reviews don't lie here, y'all. Been here twice, and the second time took FAR longer than it should have. The first time was excellent, and we couldn't wait to go back. Yet somehow we did, and oh did we regret it. Modern takes on old classics is a great way to summarize this place, with a veritable symphony of wines to choose from, all of which will satisfy you. I ordered the Soy Ginger Atlantic Salmon, and what a treat that was. Salmon that just fell apart (as it should), placed on top of some wasabi-flavored mashed potatoes, with an Asian slaw on the side. The mashed potatoes were phenomenal, packed with delicious wasabi flavor that wasn't overpowering. The slaw was that perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and it was impossible to just stop eating it. This was paired with the house malbec (yeah yeah, not a white, but I just love malbec's) that went down wonderfully dry. I could not find fault in the entire visit. The server was fast, friendly, and excellent. The food, equally good. Ambiance? They have it in spades. Go.

Easy parking on one of the lots or a nearby garage. Short walk to and from the restaurant. Our third time dining at CH. Second dinner. Had reservations for New Year's Eve and sat in a booth in the bar area. Good area since it was quieter than in the main dining area, we could enjoy conversation w/o having to raise our voices. On this evening we started with two house salads which we thought were a generous mix of greens and veggies for $5.99. My wife's entree was shrimp and scallops risotto (which had 4 scallops, but the shrimp were AWOL or in such tiny minuscule pieces they were lost in sight and taste in the risotto) and asparagus, peas, sweet corn mixed in the risotto, nevertheless less it was tasty. I had a great soy ginger salmon which was a generous piece of salmon with a sweet sauce glaze, wasabi mashed potatoes which was not hot and Asian slaw. A lovely pretzel bread came first which was perfect with our first wines of the evening.

Wine was good, service was all right. So many people came to our table it was unclear who our server was. Got the beef medalions and the grouper. The beef medalions were two bites apiece. The grouper was approximately a 2 ounce portion. The parsnips in the vegetable medley were raw. The $32.00 dinner was very disappointing. My wife's medium strip came rare. This was recooked and she got it after everyone was done. No manager came over to apologize for the mistake. We did like the wine, you will see that is clearly the attraction here when you walk in the door. The wine bar was packed with people.

We met here for book our book club meal. They are a made from scratch kitchen. And our server Roman handled our table of 10 like a pro. Very friendly and informative about food choices. The lobster bisque-delicious! The Cesar salad was quite tasty also. Next time-I'm certain there will be one-I will add chicken to my salad. The sangria was delicious and I loved all the fruit in it. Maybe I am a wine drinker after all... This atmosphere was not the best choice for a discussion. It was loud and some of us couldn't hear the rest of the group. Other than that, great restaurant. I can't wait to try the wine tastings.

I like the overall experience of this place. The food selections I’ve tried have been delicious. A bit on the pricey side but tasty nonetheless. I’m not much of a drinker but I’ve even enjoyed the wine tastings. I would suggest they find a fairer way to run the line on wine tastings. It’s totally unfair for people who’ve come in far later than you to get to the counter because the line they’re in moves faster.

Super nice, delicious food, and the white wine went well with everything. I had tuna appetizer, with a chicken entree, and the ice wine cheese cake. Is a mid to high $$, price point like most of the restaurants in the area, but it is the best I've had in that area. I recommend this place for date night or romantic (without the kids) adult dining. I didn't care for the Chardonnay, but the white wine was terrific.

Had an amazing experience here! My parents and I had a 6:30 reservation and got there early a little before 6. They said it would be a short wait so we went over to the bar area and couldn’t find a spot to get drinks. We finally found seats after 6 (happy hour ended at 6) and the bartender was SO friendly! We each ordered a glass of wine and he said he would give them to us for the happy hour price since we had been waiting. We made some good friends at the bar, and we ended up not getting seated until around 7:15 since we requested a booth. We ordered another round, the bartender was knowledgeable with the wine and let us try a few samples first before ordering. Food was excellent once we got seated, and service was friendly. Wish we saved room for dessert!

Awful. Crowded, loud, poor, slow service. Had to ask repeatedly for our drinks, I specified several times, quite clearly to our waiter, no mushrooms in my beef short ribs risotto...and when it was brought out from the kitchen, I even asked the girl, no mushrooms correct? She assured me no mushrooms. I ended up having to pick out of my bowl 12-15 big chunks of slimy mushrooms. Our pretzel bread was sat on our table, clearly blackened and we had to hand it back and request bread not blackened. We waited over 30 minutes for our wine and beer, despite ordering the drinks at 5:30 when we arrived for our reservation. The waiter, Jason did not notice the plate full of mushrooms next to me until I commented about them. No effort was made to rectify this mistake nor did a manager stop by. Poor service, inedible food, who let's a blackened pretzel out of the Kitchen? My Moscato did not taste like Moscato or it was flat. Hadn't been in a few years, will continue to avoid. Better food and service can be had at Tonys or Eddie Merlots, don't waste your money.

Easily one of my top 3 restaurants. It's a huge bonus that it's also a winery. The service is always IMPECCABLE and the food is even better. No matter what, I always order the crab beignets. They're amazing. Some of my other favorites are the chicken piccata, the pistachio-crusted grouper and the campanelle rustica with shrimp and Italian sausage. It's so delicious but I've never ordered anything I wasn't impressed with. I've also brought lots of family and friends there over the last couple years for special occasions, Thanksgiving, or a random night out and they've all loved it and then made their own trips and introduced other people to it. It's sure to impress anyone you take. Then, there are the free wine tastings at the table and the whole wine club rewards program. It's good even if you don't drink because their bottles make great gifts. I can't say enough good things about it. I just love it. I'm still looking for an excuse to have a party there and bring even more people to try it for the first time!

Wine tasting was really affordable at 8 wines for $7. Food was good. The wait was longer than seemed necessary given the open tables. The Ice Wine was gross, but the server did warn us and ask if we wanted something less sweet. (I like sweet wines, but this was too sweet even for me.)

So I stop in here at around 3 pm to pick up six bottles of wine for my wife. I knew I still had a little extra time on the parking meter and thought I would grab a quick martini. I sit down at the bar and wait a few minutes and the entire time the bartender is telling some story to a customer and not making anyone a drink. The whole time he never even looks my way he acted like I wasn't even sitting there, no eye contact or anything. So the story is looking like it's never going to end I have no idea how long it's going to go on before I can get my drink. So I finally just got up and grabbed the six bottles of wine and left. I don't mind waiting my turn when people ahead of me are being served but he was not making any drinks he was showing stuff on his phone and going on and on with this story. I'm guessing by the time the story is finished the time on my parking meter would probably be up. Plus I didn't like the idea of this whole thing anyway I was having none of it and I just walked out. So I want to say thanks to the bartender for saving me from paying for an overpriced drink. So yeah if you go there in the afternoon and decide to have a drink you better hope this bartender isn't there telling some story because you might die of thirst before he's done. He was talking to the guy next to me so I know he saw me by the way.

We visit Cooper's Hawk every couple of months for winetasting with friends and dinner. Cooper's Hawk never disappoints! The wine tasting is inexpensive and there are many wonderful options to choose from, and the truffles available by the wine tasting counter are a must-buy! On to the food--I am a huge fan of Cooper's Hawk due not only to the quality of food, but having the most extensive gluten free menu I've ever seen in a restaurant. It's so nice to be able to go to a nice restaurant and not have to choose between 2 menu options. They will even bring you out a warm, gluten free bun during the bread service! Fantastic food, fantastic wine, fantastic service every time.

For a Sunday evening with reservations for 2 I expected better service. I recommend this place for drinks & appetizers, but not a meal. The fillet was stringy and had some hard bits that could not be cut!!! The lobster dry and overcooked. We tried ALL deserts none was good: a lot of hard fat and that's all !!! No IPA beers at all.... the worse Zinfandel I ever tried. Very noisy and quite expansive. If you are hungry grab a hotdog at the corner better value for money. 2 stars because I feel generous.

Winner winner Chicken Dinner. Wow, I just had one of the top 3 meals of my life! Located in the old Paulina's building is the Southern Restaurant small chain Cooper Hawk's Winery and Restaurant. The atmosphere is laid back upscale. Lots of shades of blue in a lower light. It is very welcoming and does give it some character. Ok I didn't order chicken, but it still holds. You can get two free samples of their wines for free. I tried the Cooper White and the Sweet Red. The white was very good, but the Sweet Red was excellent. So good I got a glass for $7. I then ordered a bowl of the Crab & Lobster Bisque for $8. It was very good, not as good as Chop Houses, but very good with lots of chunks of crab and lobster. I ordered the Bourbon Lacquered BBQ Pork Chop that comes with Mashed Potatoes, 3 Onion Rings (large), and kale for $25. The chop is massive. It was also melt in your mouth perfection. The bourboun and bbq combined with the pork was pure Phenomenal Bliss! The mashed and onion rings were both excellent. The Kale was good and that's saying something, I hate kale. The portion sizes were generous. I wish I could have tried dessert, theirs sound delicious, but I was full to the gills. There is a lot mire on their menu that I really want to try. Including an Ice Wine. The service was top notch. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a smashing 5 Stars. Would I return? Many Many times! The price are extraordinarily affordable!

I went for a wine tasting I really enjoyed it. It's not expensive and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. It is a first come, first serve basis, so you may have to wait. The food looked good and the chocolate truffles were amazing. I definitely recommend checking it out. If you're really into wine, they have a membership where you get monthly wine. Check it out!

The ambience of this place is semi romantic. They pay attention to details. The food is very flavorful and freshly homemade by the chef. I could taste the different notes of flavor in every dish from the appetizer to dinner to the dessert. If you love wine you should definitely come here. They have a vast assortment of their own wines suited for a wine connoisseur! This place is on my list of fancy upscale dining places to go to for just some great food or to entertain some guest with a new experience.

Wait lines for tastings are too long. Finally make it to a station only to be told they've been cut and have to close the station. Any waiter could have come and told us we'd never get in after watching us stand in line for a whole hour. Meanwhile you've prepaid if you're a member so there's no incentive to really help you. Cancelling membership. Not worth it.

I feel like at the wine tasting area the lady i believe alicia (older white lady short hair) immediately put us african American people on the only African American male that was here. At first i assumed it was the area that we were standing in thinking it was by zones. However she was all over the place. Someone called her and she said "what" and kept moving..bumped into a couple people didnt day excuse me etc. However after i guess.10-15 mins we finally called her over since our servers seemed busy and she finally helped us and she had a good personality..explained the wine. But wish we got this out of her at the beginning

We recently celebrated a combination Birthday / Graduation with dinner at Cooper's Hawk. We were fortunate to be seated at one of Zachary's tables. He is a total professional and made dining a pleasure. The food was excellent from the appetizers through the desserts, the drinks were delicious and everyone enjoyed the entrees. We had a party of 7 ranging in age from 19 to 70 and everyone had a great time. The only reason I am giving you 5 stars is they don't allow 6.

Food is always wonderful. Unfortunately the service isnt. There were out of several wines, we were told the bread was in the oven but it arrived at the end of our meal. The host was a complete jerk - he told half of our party to wait in the bar and he would get us when our table was ready. The other half of the party that arrived just a few minutes later was sat at the table. After 30 minutes we found each other. The host only job is to move traffic and he failed. Worst of all - no apology when I asked him what was going on.

I wish I could give 0 stars. So disappointed in the management at Cooper’s Hawk Columbus. Dined there last night, our waiter was absolutely wonderful, very kind and funny and attended to our table. Around 8:30, as we were ready to leave, we were told that their computer system was down and we couldn’t get our check. We were held hostage waiting for our check for over an hour. Our waiter did everything he could and was running around trying to get us home as fast as he could. The manager came over only once to tell us it would be “5 more minutes”. 45 minutes later we were able to leave. The manager never came over again to apologize or offer any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. Never offered to comp our meal or drinks. Nothing. I tried to call the main number this morning and they aren’t answering the phone even though they supposedly open at 8 (It’s almost 9). I’m usually not one to leave a review unless it’s positive, but this has just been absolutely ridiculous.

My wife & I have been coming to Cooper's Hawk since 2015, at least 3 times a month as wine club members. We have always looked forward to a dinner here, usually enjoying anything we ordered off of the menu. Friday, 04/06/2018 was not one of those stores. We have not been to this location for a few months simply due to time restrictions, but something drastic (management, policy, etc?) has changed: Upon arriving at 7:00 PM for our reservation, we enter the tasting room. The tasting room is beyond crowded and loud, it was like maneuvering a small crowded bar. Loud & crowded never bother me, but for an establishment such as this - it was simply too much. We check in to the counter for our 7:00PM reservation, we are immediately told to "sit down and we'll call your name." There is literally nowhere to stand let alone sit down. We also put in a reservation to... not have to wait. As we're waiting, a server comes by with glasses to sample their wine of the month. This is always nice, as it definitely helps with having to wait. I pickup a glass, and proceed to nose the wine - THE WINE GLASS WAS SO FILTHY I COULD NOT EVEN SMELL THE WINE. The outside of the glass was sticky, the stem was sticky, and there were water/alcohol marks all over the glass. I immediately set it down. My wife (who is pregnant) hasn't had a sip of wine in three months nosed the glass and literally gagged. The clerk comes by and asked if I had drank it already, I explained the glass was filthy, she apologized and gave me a new one... this one wasn't spotless but it wasn't that filthy either. This was fine I suppose. SHE PICKED UP THE DIRTY GLASS AND IMMEDIATELY GAVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE AS SHE WAS WALKING AWAY. We were in disbelief. Mind you, it's extremely busy so something like this has probably gone unnoticed all evening. Finally, we were seated at 7:28 from our 7:00pm reservation. Upon being seated, I order a glass of their barrel reserve - out comes a white wine. Waitress insists it's the barrel reserve and I should try it. I insist it's not and finally the right glass is brought back out to me. The waitress literally asked us three times if "we have dined here before" over the course of arriving to the table for drinks, appetizers and placing order. She simply forgot.. each time. My wife ordered a cheeseburger with a side of ranch, I ordered the red wine braised short rib. Skip to 20 minutes later, the food arrives. We asked for bread when we first sat down - the bread arrived with our more and was stone cold. The food was good, what we expected - but the service all around is what ruined this for us. The wine glass was the largest concern, as this obviously set the precedent for the evening. We have been to Cooper's Hawk during many busy hours (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), and it has never been handled this way. It's safe to say we probably won't be back to this location, after coming for many years - which is very disappointing. My advice to anyone this is to make sure your wine glass is clean! Who knows what illness I could have picked up. Simply expect better service from an establishment where you spend $75 on a meal for two.

Truly impressed with our overall experience. We started our journey by meeting with Jean for an overview of the winery and it’s history, moved along to an 8-wine sampling with Andi, and ultimately purchased a 2-bottle wine club monthly membership. For dinner we ate “al fresco” on heated outdoor patio. We enjoyed a 4-wine flight with our charcuterie platter, sampled the Thai lettuce wraps, then finished our evening with a chocolate dessert and wine flight. I am absolutely upset with the way their member services. I just spent $82.99 on a plan to have a wine bottle sent to my in laws once a month for the next 3 months. And after going through the whole online process I received no confirmation via email, and I just spent 40 mins on hold trying to get to speak to a person with member services only to receive a voicemail. I just sent an email and hope they respond promptly but I thought I would let you all know that if your planning on using their gift program be prepared to deal with really horrible service. I will never be doing business with these guys....If the wines good but the service is bad then whats the point? UPDATE: Finally got a hold of member services a day later and the person who serviced me was rude and should not be working customer service as she failed to accept my feedback with how poor their service was. I have worked in customer service & management roles for everything from small family operations to fortune 500 companies & I make sure to treat people in the service sector with respect but that lady was a text book definiton of someone who got the wrong job. Thus I urge anyone reading this to stay clear of this COMPANY they do not understand customer service and have some terrible agents working for them. If you absolutely need a better alternative check out the VAN TILL Winery in Rayville MO, they are absolutely amazing and you'll have a great time and deal with some really amazing service, amazing wine, and did I mention their PIZZA IS AMAZING!!!!!! Rant Over.

I LOVE Cooper's Hawk. However, normally when I go, I am with my girlfriends. Great food, great wine, great service. On Monday evening, I walked up to the host stand at 6:20pm and asked for a table for 2, and just space to put my stroller. I had my 3 year old daughter with me and we were meeting a friend. The host sighed, and told me it would be an hour. I was surprised because they didn't seem busy, but I went ahead and put my name in. I went online to see if they accepted reservations, and was surprised to see that they actually had a reservation available at 6:45pm- 35 mins shorter than the time he gave me. I went ahead and made the reservation for 3. At 6:45 I went up to the host, and said after he had told me an hour, I was able to make a reservation for 6:45pm. He responded with, "Oh okay. We will get you seated shortly." I was seated within 5 mins. I kind of expected him to explain to me how this happened, and why he told me an hour, if they had a table at 6:45- but nope. I am not one to be easily offended, and have never felt "mom-shamed" but I can't help but think that he saw me and my stroller, and didn't love the idea of us dining at Cooper's Hawk during dinner... bringing down the vibe. I was very disappointed, and every person I told agreed with me....

Oh my pour! I did the lux wine tasting for $13 and these 8 pours were incredibly large. If I had to guess each was a 2oz pour, so I was definitely feeling drunk by the end of the tasting! The lux tasting didn't feel like a reserve tasting because the flavors weren't very developed but I did enjoy the Cabernet and Meritage. Overall, I found everything to be too sweet. Also at the bottom of the wine tasting sheet it said complimentary piece of chocolate from display case. I didn't get that...sad face. They have crackers if you ask for them and they're really big and messy so that's a bit annoying when u just want something in between glasses. Very understaffed at the tasting area, basically 1 guy working the whole area. And there wasn't a tip line on the receipt to tip the bartenders so that was really odd!

The absolute worst experience I've had at a restaurant. It was my first time picking up food here. Not only was I ignored at the pickup counter, I personally witness staff members that were talking rather than helping customers. They never gave me an estimate for when the food would be ready. Once 30 minutes had past without any update and being generally ignored by everyone, I left without the food. I am now making it my mission to tell everyone how bad it is here.

While the food was good and the service was solid - the facility is loud and the wait before was simply unacceptable. We had a reservation for 8 at 7:00 pm. We arrived in stages - the earliest at approximately 6:15. We were not seated until 8:00 pm. While the manager was apologetic and offered us a round of drinks - which was the last thing we needed after waiting in the bar - he was unwilling to ask the party who was seated - who had eaten and paid their bill - and were simply talking - to move to the bar. I understand the dilemma of asking guests to leave - but if he was willing to offer us drinks - I would think the same offer could have been extended to them. All said - I don't think we will go back.

Wine tasting was GREAT! The staff is knowledgeable. The environment is really nice. Sweet red is great but there was a sweet red mixed with brandy. I smelled the rich brandy in it and took it really slow. It was fabulous! We decided to sit in the dining area to eat. The burgers were great. The wine club is perfect for wine drinkers. Great time.

Arrived at 6pm on a Saturday with my sister and father, the man at the host desk said he could seat us immediately outside. We opted to check out the space before committing given the freezing temperatures, but when we returned to the host stand they were no longer able to accommodate us immediately. I absolutely love this place. Food is always so good as well as the service. Make sure to do reservations! Also if you want to do a tasting make sure you come an hour before your reservation. (If dinner reservations)

For those who know good wine and know the difference between marinated beef and non marinated beef (a silly example for those who know what good food really is)- dont read other 's reviews, start here. I visited during memorial day weekend 2018.... Staff was fine, except for the hostess who asked if we had a reservation... at 3pm.. and then proceed to need to check to see if the restaurant had space for us, even though the restaurant was not even at half capacity... As for the wine.... nothing was awful, but nothing was good. I tried a total of 4 (3 whites and 1 red) before I just settled. They do give generous pours though. As for the food... not worth it AT ALL. Friend got a pasta dish. It was just like every pasta dish you find at a restaurant... bland and not original. I, However, got a crispy chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. First- the pickle that came with it was literally the blandest pickle I have had in my life. No flavor at all. The fries... They were inedible... literally. WAY TOO SALTY. The "seasoning" they put on them is VERY salty. And i guess they add this to fries that have already been salted (good chefs know to avoid doing things like this). As for the sandwich, the chicken was cooked well, and the toppings were nice. BUT... the chef apparently cooked the chicken in the same oil as seafood... because some of the chicken tasted like fish. This, to me, is a deal breaker. It shows that a chef cares very little of the food they serve. Overall- too expensive, and not nearly as good as this 4.3 hype that people are rating it at. Please spend your money elsewhere!

Great experience here. The wine is tasty and the food was delicious. Even the bread served before the meal was good. My partner ordered the steak and I had the barramundi. Both were excellent. The red wine flight was a great way to sample their wines. You might want to make a reservation for dinner as this place was surprisingly busy on a Tuesday night.

So delicious went here to celebrate my best friend's birthday! I got the jambalaya and it was very very good! My best friend is member and she goes all the time she's had a few things that are good. I love love the sweet red wine its my favorite. Before I tried this wine I hated wine but this wine is delicious! The service was great as well the people are so personal and friendly. Great place to eat, drink and have a nice time.

I thought the menu selections were very good the taste of the food was spot-on. The only downfall of this type of restaurant are the lack of wait staff in the wine /gift / lobby area when you first enter the restaurant. It's never a good idea to leave people standing around hoping to catch somebody's attention and get maybe some wine while they're waiting on the reservation table. It was a very diverse crowd so that was a plus and the wait staff was Diversified. they seem to work well as a team.

I’ve been to this Coopers Hawk many times and have never had a bad experience. The food is good, the wine is good and the atmosphere is very nice. If you drink wine, I recommend joining the wine club. It is well worth the (relatively low) cost. If you have never been here, give it a try.

We both had the surf and turf, with pork chops for our evening dinner. I ordered the tuna and my wife got the grouper for our surf portions. My wife's order came as she ordered it, but mine came with shrimp. Shrimp, tuna, does that rhyme? But they brought out a side order of tuna and we split the shrimp. Both were pretty good, so probably no bad choices. The sides were mashed potatoes and fried potatoes, or potato fillets. Guess potatoes were on sale. The service was good, he checked on us at the right intervals, but still not sure how he got shrimp confused with tuna, unless its electronically sent to the kitchen, or he might not have been able to hear me over the wine bar crowd downstairs.

It really troubles me that most reviews that are 3 or less stars are written by brown or black folks. This finding really makes me stop in my tracks! I, with friends was not impressed with service or food, both average or below. We came at a time that was not popular - midday and waited and waited for service, even tho we mentioned upon seating that we were in a hurry. The food was nothing to write home about - maybe average and the price seemed steep for the quality and quantity. I’ll not be returning... I do hope that their treatment of POC improves...

Arrived for a 6:30 reservation on a Wednesday nite. They failed to hold a table, then when we arrived said table available by 7 pm. At 7:05 they said another 30 minutes. We left. Everyone just stands around the front room (filled with over-priced wine gadgets and house wine—only thing they sell) and tries to look sophisticated. Huge waste of space, money and time. This place sucks!!

Very busy place, but very well-trained wait staff. A bit pricey for my budget, but I am rarely wanting to spend a lot going out. I had 2 glasses of the house wine and an appetizer, all of which were very good. Had I gotten a meal, my bill would have been around $45. Very clean, very friendly staff. I had a great experience there!

The food was outstanding and I enjoyed the atmosphere but the service provided by our server Sheila was terrible. Our server basically ignored us for most of the meal and never brought us our second drinks after we ordered them. She also never refilled our water glasses so the entire table had nothing to drink from the time we ordered our meal until we left after eating (and when we pointed out all the empty glasses and that our drinks never came she huffed and walked off to get our check). It seemed like the other servers were fine but I have noticed some other reviews that said the service wasn't great so hopefully the issue isn't widespread. I would be leaving a five start glowing review had the service been even adequate and if not for the outstanding food I would recommend trying one of the many other great restaurants in the same area.

Very dissappointing food. I’ll say my risotto was decent. The chartreuse platter had soem good elements, but the toast was burnt and overpowered any of the elements paired with it.) But my wife’s surf and turf was bargain Applebee’s quality. Clearly those cuts were at best USDA Select, very grainy in texture, no moistness, too firm. The Parmesan crust was like powdered Kraft part mixed with butter and reduced till it could be baked on top of the steak. The Lobster felt precooked and over cooked... with a very fishy taste (in Lobster!?). Overall, we literally would have had a better food experience at Applebees...

I promised my fiance that I would give this place a stellar review because she was here and I was not. She brought me leftovers that consisted of bbq ribs that were about 8-9 inches long and had such good meat on them with the sauce they were prepared in. She also brought me these Au-gratin potatoes that they had sliced into large medallion sized bites. She is still raving about the bloody marry's that came with burnt end meats that were stuffed in the olives. Not my kind of thing but I guess she really enjoyed it. I am going to strive to make it here next trip if I have the time.

A few girlfriends and I went to the Kentwood location about a week and a half after they opened. We had a great time and we can’t wait to go back! . Upon arrival, we were greeted with the opportunity for a complimentary wine sample - did I mention that Cooper’s Hawk Winery crafts their own wine! . The environment is called “modern casual dining”. When the girls and I originally planned our outing, we talked about how fancy the restaurant looked. Yes, it is upscale, but it is also very inviting and warm. . Everyone from the front desk staff, to the food runners, our server and the manager demonstrate great pride in their craft and opportunity to work at Cooper’s Hawk Winery. . Our food was delicious. The pricing is fair, there are options for all different budgets. And the portion sizes were filing. . We understand that humans are working the restaurant, and not robots, so yes mistakes may happen. But we also understand that we have the choice in how we respond. Mistakes are often times embarrassing and also an honest mistake - we don’t need to make anyone feel any worse about them. . With that being said, there were a few hiccups like one friend getting the wrong side and one extra side for another friend being forgotten. BUT, We were not upset about these mistakes and they were corrected. . Both side dishes were brought to our table with no hesitation, and the wrong side was not taken away, my friend was able to keep the extra side at no additional cost. . Not only that, but when we explained the mishaps, our server and the manager understood and apologized. They did not make us feel bad for addressing our concerns. . My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at Cooper’s Hawk Winery and I can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic service and food. We had the gnocchi which came out in a great portion, it could have fed two! Kim was a fantastic waitress with a great smile! And let not forget the wine tasting! Its held in at a separate bar wit stand and seated options with a huge selection to choose a flight from. Ashley was very knowledgeable about the wines, where they are from and the diffrent steps each wine went through. Oh and shout out to Tom for hooking us up with a great dessert!

One of our favorite go to places for date night. We love doing the wine tastings and then settling in for some food. Be prepared to wait if you're doing a wine tasting. They are done on a first come first serve basis. Food is always on point. Never had a bad meal. Service is always upscale. Incredibly friendly staff. Definitely a must try.
