Beautiful vineyard. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. You can sample 4 wines for free, and (for a few bucks more) try an additional 4 samples. Or just enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese (or other snacks) out on their balcony.

The historic setting in rural Maine is just beautiful. Loved seeing the small mountain with wild blueberry fields backgrounding their vineyard. The building is stunning inside, and we were surprised to learn the tasting was complimentary. Each of us were able to sample 4 wines. I think we both walked away with a new favorite. Luckily we were there at a good time as they had a tour of the plant starting as we finished our glass of wine we purchased. This was the first tour the guide had given, she did an ok job, pretty basic info but was able to answer questions the group asked. She needed to speak louder (someone did ask her to, but I guess that wasn't her comfort zone)They have several decks (with awnings) that overlook the vineyard and you're free to walk or drive to the vineyard.

Unbelievable! Beautiful grounds; public buildings; and winery tour showed all areas of winemaking as beyond pristine... All staff really sweet, professional and knowledgable about history of this winery and of process of winemaking. I have marked it as " A Must Go " for visitors.

We stopped here while on vacation. It was a great place to stop in, try some wine, eat some chocolate, and chat with other people. The wine was delicious and we were able to buy some chocolate to go along with it. The bartender gave us a great recommendation for dinner and kept us entertained the whole time we were there. I would definitely recommend stopping buy to try some of their wine!

The wine here was very good. You must know, they only have I believe one wine that they made with there own grapes. All there other wines have imported grapes.

A wonderful property with a beautiful tasting room, food gifts room, and event space. The indoor silo makes the place. Nice views, along with welcoming staff, as you sit and taste here. The wines sampled were okay, but some seemed monotone and some had overlapping profiles. The descriptions on the wine menu were well thought out. The prices were a little high, but not outrageous.

Outstanding establishment! This winery is definitely off the beaten path but well worth the visit. The tasting area is rustic and gorgeous. There is also a nice patio overlooking the vineyard and the rolling Maine hills off in the distance. The tastings are mostly complimentary and prices for food and additional glasses of wine are quite reasonable. I would highly recommend a visit here!

It's crazy that this place (Cellar Door Winery) gets business, coming from florida to visit my in-laws, with their recommendation they thought my husband and I would love this place. To our surprise the people working here were extremely rude, made us feel extremely uncomfortable and made us feel like they were to good for us. When we first arrived, the downstairs was full so we walked among the amazing and beautiful property, then we went upstairs and were quickly greeted with "is it full downstairs because you shouldn't be up here"; " this is a private tasting". We quickly went downstairs and tried to sit at the bar (where their were 3 open seats) and was told that we couldn't sit down "because the woman was helping someone else but was almost finished". I then made a comment "apparently everyone is too busy to even let us sit down"; the woman said "that is just how it is here". Therefore, we decided to leave, as I waited at the door, the woman came over and tried to co Vince me to stay and actually dug herself and the rest of the place in a hole. As she made comments such as: "you are not from around here", "Maine is very different than Florida", "this is our busy time". It's crazy to think that such an amazing, laid back, beautiful place that takes a little bit of drive to get to has such rude people. I would not recommend this place and I would highly recommend Savage Oaks Winery in Union which is about 20 mins from this place.

Beautiful place, beautiful view and good wines (free tasting) in an expected location for a winery : Maine is not supposed to be one of the "best Wine places" but finally... it is ! The old farm is very well decorated and in a "country chic style", which make it a nice place for receptions as well (and again : the view!). Naid Said Red was my favourite! Do miss to taste it.

The location is beautiful, the atmosphere so relaxing. Bought a bottle of 2014 "Perfect Stranger" and knew we were in trouble when we pulled the cork. The smell of mustiness was over powering and the wine tasted so strong of must. The bottle was purchased at Lincolnville in August of this year.

We have been going to Cellardoor Winery for the past four years. We enjoy visiting both locations – Rockport, Maine and Lincolnville, Maine. The events, wines and employees are incredible. Both locations are nice but Lincolnville is a must. If you haven’t been to an event at Cellardoor you have to go!

This is a great little place for a wine tasting. Perched up on a hillside it overlooks a magnificent vista. The tastings are very reasonable in price and some are for free depending on your choice. The wines are quite good. Having previously been to California and the Napa Valley as well as Oregon I would say these wines are very good in value and well made. Cheers to the wine makers. You can also purchase antipasto to eat with your tasting or glass of wine for a reasonable price. If in the area I would not miss this place.
