UPDATE:
After David Mitchell saw my posts were making the rounds on social media, he called and said, “Come get your money”. My husband drove back to his place of business to pick up the check. When my husband arrived and went in, he found Mr. Mitchell and his intimidation tactic (bodyguard, backup guy).
Putting all that aside we deposited the check immediately to be sure that it was good, and it was. I have since then been contacted by several other customers, thru my review, who have current ongoing issues with Mr. Mitchell’s business. I encourage you to consider other options before purchasing through this business. I appear to be one of the lucky ones and received my money back.

BUY BEWARE!!
I write reviews for many companies, restaurants and resorts. I never use social media to rant, because I find that it is not productive. I firmly believe that you should always take up issues that you might have with management first. I know that each persons issue is different.
In my case, I was looking for a specific bar stool. So I drove to Texas Wine Barrel Company in Bridge City, which is about 45 mins from my home. I found that David Mitchell, the owner was very helpful and assured us that he could deliver the bar stool that I wanted to purchase. While he did not have on hand what I wanted, he said that it would be no problem to get what I wanted. He told us while in his showroom that it would take about 3-5 weeks. He indicated he would email an invoice and on that I was to make specific notes on what I wanted so there would be no questions. I received that email and made the necessary adjustments, emailed it back. I copied the adjusted email and mailed it back with my check enclosed to the address on the invoice. The invoice and payment came back as undeliverable. David repeatedly contacted me asking about his payment. He had already placed the order and was needing his money. When the payment came back, I took a picture and sent it to him. He then asked me to mail it to his home address. Which I did. That was the last I heard from David Mitchell, once he received my payment. IT HAS BEEN OVER 13 WEEKS!!!
At no point has David contacted us to explain the delay. My husband made the only verbal communication that we had with Texas Wine Barrel by phone. FYI: The number on his invoice is not correct either. We were told that my order was part of a $4000 order and other customers didn't have any problems waiting. He offered no explanation as to where our order was or when we could be expecting it. I have been the one that has had to reach out to this company to find out about my stools.
All communication took place on FB Messenger, so I have written communications. I will at this point be using all Social Media outlets and my blog to get the word out about this company. BUYER BEWARE. I will be contacting BBB to file my complaint. Before placing a special order with any company, I recommend that you read all reviews and check with the local BBB. If there is no fine print on your invoice, write it in yourself and get management to sign off. I will follow up on my post if and when my bar stools arrive.
