I went to this distillery back in March for my Mom's birthday. My mom fainted because she was dehydrated that day. The woman working at the front was so kind and helpful. She offered my mom a warm towel and called an ambulance when she fainted. Although, we did not get to finish the tour, the staff were so kind and helpful to my mother and father. This is a great place and I got to try some of the rum when we first got there. Great taste and great history! I highly recommend.

We had a great time at the Old New Orleans Rum Distillery tour during our honeymoon trip to New Orleans! Our tour guide, Bob, was a great combination of being knowledgeable and informative, but also very fun and easygoing. He quizzed us throughout the tour to make sure we were paying attention and wasn't shy with giving out samples of their different products. The rum itself was some of the best liquor I've ever tasted. They had a small, but quite varied selection of different rums in the distillery, from more traditional rums to a spiced rum with cayenne pepper. We went into the tour with no intention to purchase anything, but ended up buying three bottles and a box that we could check on our flight home. We had a wonderful time!

Best Rum Distillery I have ever been to. The tour was informative and the tour guide was very nice. The GINGERoo is absolutely delicious I loved it so much I called everywhere in New york to find it and found it in Long Island City. Cajun Spice Rum was also delightful. When you walk in you are greated with a drink, you than proceed to get a 45 minute tour followed by taste testing.. Highly recommend this tour.

Bob was really informative. The rum is delicious! Even non-rum drinkers (like my husband) can appreciate the flavors. Starting out, we were not planning on going for the tour, but I'm glad we did. The samplings are worth it, and I learned a lot about the distillation of rum, which made me appreciate the product even more.

Terrible rum. They won't give you samples until the tour is done and it took them an hour to do so. I've made rum and not only can I make better but I could explain the whole process in about 15 minutes. But to top it off, the final product is hot garbage. There is a reason you've never seen this stuff outside of new orleans.

Had an excellent time at this tour. All the rum was amazing. They even accommodated our group arriving late to the tour. Also, if you like ginger make sure to grab a bottle of the gingeroo.

This distillery tour was a last minute decision as my previous plans were disappointedly cancelled due to bad weather. However this tour made my day. Great fun and adequately informative tour. I'm not really a rum drinker but the quality is outstanding with a drink to suit most. Unfortunately due to hurricane Katrina they had a limited supply of the 10 year aged rum but I'm told this will be in stock soon. Free pick up service from the market. Save by buying direct from the supplier.

Great tour. Bob was fun and very knowledgeable! Only request is that the tasting happens as the tour is happening. That would give you a chance to pace yourself and really enjoy the flavors. Definitely recommend :)

Old New Orleans crafts some wonderful, affordable spirits. I have been drinking their rums for a few years now and wanted to give them a tour. The warehouse they are housed in a charming and historic. The Katrina high water mark is fascinating, as well as the idea that ALL of their rum is stored there on site. They are great folks, making great spirits with great local ingredients. Highly recommend giving them a try.

I have never been on a run tour before, but I will member go back to this one! The tour guide was rude and had no sense of southern hospitality! The entire tour is only 45 min of rum tasting with only 5 runs to taste at the very end of the tour. Wasn’t impressed!

Rum was great and the facility was super cool. Tour guide was super long winded and terrible at answering basic questions about the distillation process. He often ignored questions or simply said "I don't know" without further elaboration. He literally said "hey someone is talking back there" to silence the group, like a kindergarten teacher, before asking the tour group for tips.

A great tour. Bob our tour guide was fantastic with a whole lot of information on how they distill rum along with fun trivia questions. Whoever got the correct answer got a free shot of rum. I would give this tour a 9.

We did the tour and took a few bottles of rum home wit us. Was a great way to spend a few hours and the rum is amazingly good. DO NOT miss the Cajun Spiced rum. WOW!

Great fun tour, highly recommend. Agree with all the other reviews that the tour guide was informative, and there were plenty of tasty samples. We tasted their entire line, and my personal favorite is the Gris Gris. They said they are coming out with a new product which is the coconut rum, sad that we couldn't have a taste before the release. We booked the tour with the shuttle option, which provides round trip transportation from/to the French market.

Good tour! Lots of fun. Cocktails. Distillary is open for tours. 15 per person. They also have shuttles to French district and it's included in the reservations. The tour starts with a trivia event for extra drinks. Tour guide was Bob. Very funny guy. Full tasting is at the end....with samples of 5 rums.

This is not a huge corporate distillery so don't expect an hour long tour. What you do get is an inside look at the craft brew and distiller renaissance happening in this country backset by the Big Easy, meet the folks who live and know the scene, and taste some amazing rum. If you like spiced rum you MUST try the Cajun Spice, its fantastic. Would recommend setting up a cab or Uber both ways.

We were there mid December. The tour, the rum tastings and the complimentary punch were all fantastic. We bought several bottles to enjoy at home. However, on our way out of town, we stopped at Trader Joe's and found all but one of their rums for purchase there. All of them were several dollars less expensive. Remember the once you run out.

DO NOT WALK HERE! It is not on the edge of the French Quarter. Call ahead, and they will probably pick you up from your hotel in the Quarter. The tour was informative. I want to buy more of their rum, especially the Gingeroo.

Outside of different tours, there isn’t much to do in NOLA. Visiting this place can give one a good glimpse into something that has been influential to the history of this city. It is not the biggest place, but the staff is friendly and helpful.

I went to this place with my friends to celebrate one of my friend's birthday . This place serves the best beer and tasty food. We enjoyed a lot as this place has it's own unique vibe. Everybody at this place was so happy and it was all a joyous evening. Great ambiance and drinks! It is a delightfully delicious place to eat. It is always very busy and a little cramped but it is definitely worth it. The staff was extremely polite and very friendly.

This Distillery’s focus is on its handful of Rum and though the tour you get to sample their whole line up. Check out their unique Gingeroo—strong Ginger flavor and bubbly. While the distillery isn’t big, the tour takes you through every part of the process—almost everything is housed in that building. Although the machines weren’t noisy, our tour guide (older gentleman) sometimes couldn’t project loud enough onto the group of about 30. But he was still very informative and covered all grounds—just not very engaging. Meanwhile his partner who handled registration and selling (young, artsy lady) was normally texting in the background and looked like she was forced to work that day. Typical street parking is nearby however if you’re in the French Quarter, a complimentary shuttle will bring you to the paid tour and back.

The rum tour here was awesome. Bob is funny entertaining and very knowledgeable about his trade and the history of rum here in the US. The rum is also amazing good tasting. I highly recommend trying the 1718 and the cajan spice. It does get a little hot inside the distillery so wear light clothes.

If you're visiting New Orleans and have nothing else to do this is an OK attraction. I was expecting to learn a little more than I did. The tour was a mere walk around their facility and what was learned about the actual process was very little. The employees were friendly.

Don't go with a full stomach or drive there. Take the shuttle leaving 30 minutes prior to the tour from behind Organic Banana. Spiked refreshments are provided prior to starting the tour and multiple samples (shots) of New Orleans finest rum are offered following. For $12 the tour is well worth it. Overall great experience. Our shuttle wasn't able to pick us up but in exchange for getting there on our own, we got a discount/ a free bottle of rum. Getting an UBER from the French Market can be hard, but the rum was worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the distillery and process. He was very entertaining and kept my interest. He knew enough about the industry to speak about some other distillarys around the country. The tastings were pretty good. The 3 year was the best I have had compared to similar prices rums I've tried. The Cajun and ginger were interesting. The 20 year was alright.

We did the tour with Jeff. He was highly entertaining and knowledgeable. We used a buy 1 get 1 half off coupon, so it was around $22 for two people. Our tour lasted an hour, and we both got a generous taste of each beverage made there plus a couple mixed drinks while we waited. Can't beat the free shuttle from the French market!

Everything about this tour is great!! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the rum distilling process, and you can almost taste the love in the finished product. For the amount of alcohol you get to sample, this tour should charge so much more. Get ready to learn a lot, taste some great rum, and have a great time.
