Food was disgusting and way overpriced. They do not know how to read an out of state ID, they accused me of having a fake ID. The rudest staff I've had ever experienced. I have never been turned down buying alcohol with my ID, worst experience I've ever had and will definitely never return....recommend you not waste your time and go spend your money elsewhere. Stay away!!

A voluminous wine store with willing experts to guide your choices - the deli/lunch spot is also a longtime hangout of the upscale crowd. Unfortunately the prices match the crowd and although the food is good, it probably doesn't present the best value for lunch.

I went to this location for years before they opened one closer to me uptown. I still go to both, and have never had anything but a great experience every time. The food here is fresh and always yummy, and their daily specials are innovative and priced really well considering the quality of the cuisine that you get. The selection of wine, beer, and spirits is awesome, and there is always someone super knowledgeable around to ask questions or make really informed recommendations. This is one of my favorite spots! Highly recommended!

Martin Wine Cellar was my first choice searching for Mezcals. Their selection was small. I was disappointed, but there was a huge positive. I was offered a taste of 2 different Mezcals. He had 2 open bottles,, which was very surprising since these are very expensive. I discovered that this is something you just don't drink. You slowly sip and savor. This was my first time to taste mezcal. And it was definitely worth the drive. A taste I won't soon forget.

We were out doing some Christmas shopping, and decided to have lunch here. The placed was packed, no seating, so we browsed a bit before placing our order. Excellent selection of food, I had the burger while my wife had quiche. Given the size of the crowd, our food got to us quickly. Both meals were very good. Apparently it was crowded for good reason.

Love the food and wine by the glass. The employees recommended wine and were spot on. One issue, they toast kid's PB&J...who does that? I had an unhappy toddler. They remade it though free of charge. Had it stated it on the menu I would have asked to have it not toasted.

This what's our first visit to Martin's wine cellar in Metairie. After a physical therapy visit nearby we stopped by to purchase some wine to have with dinner that night. We ordered lunch at the deli and thoroughly enjoyed it. The clerks were very helpful hating us in choosing a delicious wine.

Martin's has one of my favorite sandwiches in the city! I always get the "Californian"! I know it's terrible that I am not branching out, but it's just so good that I can't resist getting anything else! The Californian is made up of oven-roasted turkey, Havarti, avocado, sprouts, cucumbers, tomato, Creole mustard & mayo and I always get it on their 7-grain bread. They also have a liquor store built into the space, so it's nice to grab a glass of wine with lunch or another favorite of mine would be Barq's. They also have wonderful baked goods such as carrot cake, which is FABULOUS! This is a great place for lunch and also a great stop if you need to buy some booze (they have very reasonable prices). They are pretty quick with their service, but they do have a long line around lunch time.

I've never actually attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages at this business. I've always come here for their soups, sandwiches, and salads. Very good and healthy options if you work in Metairie and are looking for a lunch spot. It can get crowded and busy, though, so plan accordingly.

Pro Tip: they usually have a few special bottles open so if you're not sure and you want to have a sample, they're more than happy to let you have a taste.

I decided to try Martin Wine Cellar for lunch on a Thursday. Parking was plenty, but cramped (if that makes sense). I suggest getting there before 11:30am because the lunch area was extremely busy by noon. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and salads. I ordered the Deli Deluxe sandwich with potato salad. It took a long time to get my order, and there were only 2 other tables there when we ordered. When I finally got my order, it was wrong. The staff were really nice about it and willing to fix it, but I had another long wait. I absolutely loved the potato salad and the sandwich not so much. The onion bread was too thick for the amount of meat (pastrami and corned beef) and the pastrami wasn’t easy to chew. I’m most definitely willing to give them another try due to the delicious looking cold salad and dessert options. Happy hour is 4 - 7 and the small bite menu looked appealing, so I plan in trying that in the near future.

Oops! They did it again. When I want to splurge and enjoy a great burger, I think of Martin's. And the seasoned fries are great. Unfortunately, we order out a lot. I always request Dijon Mustard on the side when I order the fries. Today, I did the same thing and of course, I get packets of ketchup which I detest and no mustard on the side. Even when it is written on the ticket! It may sound like a small thing, but to those who enjoy their fries with Dijon Mustard, it is a huge disappointment. For the price we pay, why can't we just have a side of mustard with our fries? Can't anyone read? Do they care? This isn't the first time we have had problems with orders to go, (not necessarily missing Dijon), but I am personally tired of excuses about why they can't get orders right at any time of the day. And the burger was dry....

One of the worse experiences and very poor customer service. I waited patiently to have my order taken. The lady behind the counter, she prob was in her 40's or 50's, blonde hair - watched me stand there as she was straightening whatever items that didn't need straightening. Never acknowledged me.. Still standing, as I'm standing - 3 other women come in already in conversation amongst themselves, not even giving the gesture that they needed their order to be taken, but the lady behind the counter greeted them before they can get to the counter "Hello ladies, what are you having today?" Something to that effect... but the audacity! I'm going to take a wild guess and say it was because I am a brown skin girl bc it couldn't have been anything else. It's disgusting ppl are still this way even today. I'm glad she did what she did, it stopped me from spending my hard earned coins in a place of business like this and wouldn't recommend it to any of my family, friends, associates, etc...

Pricier than Dorignac's, which has almost as good a selection. If money is no object, then shop at Martin's for all your wine and liquor needs. I cannot recall a single item I ever asked for that they did not stock, and I have European drinking habits. A+ for selection and for prepared foods.
