Don't feel like wine? Just order one of their original handcrafted cocktails! Try the pizza while you're at it. And the specialty grilled cheese sandwiches. 2 words = bacon jam. A great place to meet up with friends where the decor is unique without being out of place and you can actually hear yourselves talk. Count me in!

I can’t find the right words to explain how much I love the pizza here. They NEED to expand. It’s so crowded and loud, parking is a disaster, and the servers are always running around with their heads cut off. Notice I still gave 5 stars. I still love this place and I think it’s just growing pains because everything is really just that good and they have to play catch up with their success!

The hype of the Bodega was immediately thrown out the window when I arrived. I have just returned from being overseas and expected a nice, welcoming vibe. Instead I was greeted with stares for 10 minutes before we were seated and the BARTENDER had to seat us. The Miss who threw our menus at us simply didn't say a word, as if we were to know how this place is ran. I am highly disappointed as when I visit this area I always have grand things to state about the establishments around here in SWLA, Bodega, let us hope it was just a bad night and not because people didn't fit the "vibe" of the place.

Service was slow, but there was only one waitress. The saving grace was knowledgeable staff. They took the time to understand your taste and preferences. A little pricey for the area, but I would definately go again.

Easily the best pizza in town, with high-quality ingredients and a great char on the crust. A phenomenal wine list. The star of the show was the cheese and charcuterie board. Most cheese boards seem to be a bit of an afterthought, but it was clear that a good deal of thought was put into the composition here. The atmosphere itself was comfortable and cozy, particularly on the patio.

We have been to Bodega on multiple occasions. There is always a common theme: horrible service. The food and atmosphere are TOP NOTCH. But they always seem to be understaffed. There is never a clear spot to get a table. You constantly feel as though you're inconveniencing the staff. The waiter we had on our last visit was flat out rude on multiple occasions and completely disappeared for 15-20 minutes and finally came out of the kitchen area with nothing in his hands and no clear direction of what he was doing next. The need a front of house manager in the worst way - this place has the potential to be GREAT, but with the current waiters and management, it's suffering. If you want a great wine, cheese and pizza selection - this is the place to go in Lake Charles. But be prepared to wonder in, not really knowing whether to take a seat or be seated, then have to wait for long periods between interactions, ask for refills, ask if you can bother them to order, etc. We had one bottle of wine, would have had a second if we had a more attentive waiter - and never got glasses of water that we asked for more than once. Very frustrating - especially when you get the bill and see the price tag. It's high price dining with very low price service.

Great place with full bar and amazing wine selection! They had a wine tasting the night I was there though I'm not a wine guy. Staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations. We had a meat and cheese tray that was very good but highly recommend the Bodega pizza. One of the best thin crust pizza's I've had. We sat outaide so we could smoke cigars. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

Our bartender claire was such a great mixologist. She made my husband a delicious cocktail called sazarac, made with a smooth "french" whiskey; she is very knowledge and friendly! I ordered the colloio pino grio...YUM!!!

An extensive wine list organized by style, with many available by the glass, plus delicious Neapolitan pizzas. My favorite place to hang out after 10 PM on weekends in Lake Charles.

Whether you drink reds or whites, you'll have numerous choices with their incredible selection of wines. Furthermore, the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable so don't be afraid to ask for their input in helping select which wine to try. They also have a decent selection of whiskies, mainly bourbon and scotch.
