I want to personally thank the owner of Bayou Wine Garden, David Demerest. After having had a not so good experience here, due mainly to our server being absolutely horrible. David personally contacted me, apologized for the poor service, informed me he had fired the server and then went one more step by sending me a coupon to come back and let him show me what a really good time I could have at his restaurant! It's a great space, but the outdoor "garden" is very smoky. My group was surprised that the kind of people who would open a wine garden would allow cigarettes all over the space. I don't know if people who appreciate wine, chacuterie, and cheese expect their senses to be overwhelmed by tables of people smoking a pack of Kools. There's always the option of sitting inside, but that's not called Bayou Wine Garden, that's called Oak.

I sad to say we had terrible experience. The food was sub par and the service was not only bad it was non existent. We literally did all the serving and chased down people to get our orders in. I would not recommend this place for catering events.

This was my go to place in Mid City. The Happy hour and food was great. The fact that its connected to Bayou Beer is also great. This place can become packed and don't let a game be on, the place is even more packed. The parking Can be difficult, but it's worth it. I've been when it not busy and during the busy hours. I would recommend to visit

Great for groups watching sports. Order food at two locations throughout the sprawling complex, get your drinks at either of three bars. Food is slightly above average and generally comes out quick. Plenty of monitors for sports viewing. This is where the jocks go to repulse beautiful women:) if you roll 4 or more with just dudes, this is the place for you.

Love it here. Great outdoor space that is charming and mostly covered by large umbrellas. Indoor area is nice as well if you want to avoid the heat. Lots of wines on tap and great frozé. Fairly priced cheese plates. Great prices on small plates. Can be a bit crowded on the weekend.

Large neighborhood wine bar, sports bar, restaurant. So much to choose from. I like the wine on tap features in the garden. Lots of outdoor seating. I was visiting from Houston, so when many people started lighting up their cigarettes, I was un prepared. Forgot what it was like to smoke along with your neighbor. Once we found appropriate seating, I was impressed with the layout of the garden. I do look forward to visiting and will be prepared for smoking neighbors.

The food is great, wonderful wine selection, knowledgeable bartenders and the happy hour is one of the best in the neighborhood. However the service is lacking and although I can appreciate the order at the bar system, it never seems to run as smoothly as it should. The bar gets way too congested and unlike the beer garden, there isn't a separate area to order food so the bar gets overwhelmed and then customer service suffers.

This place is a lot of fun. Lots of wines on tap. (Yes, on tap!) Different selections at the inside bar from the outside bar. Their food is pretty tasty, too, though to be honest we always seem to end up doing the choose-your-own charcuterie and cheese board. It's irresistible. The outside area is especially great for gatherings because it connects to Bayou Beer Garden's and thus provides the best of both to everyone. Wine and beer! Plus, a lot of it is covered so you're really not sitting in the sun even on a bright, cloudless, hot summer day.

What a great place to have a drink and grab a bite with friends! Great outdoor space with a huge TV and great crowd for watching games. We were meeting friends we had not seen in a while so we sat inside in the rustic bar with lots of wood. The bar itself is made of thick slabs of logs which I found really nice. Many wines, including a nice selection on tap, specialty cocktails, and bottled beer. A limited, but more than adequate, selection of small plates, sandwiches, and salads, to round things out. Among our party of four we had the garlic parm fries, chicken sliders, hamburger sliders, and sticky ribs. Everything was delicious and just the right amount of food to accompany some great drinks. We just went this evening, and we are already planning to go back! Bayou Wine Garden is related to the older, adjacent, Bayou Beer Garden, and there is a physical connection for easy access to both.

Tried to contact the manager & heard her say to her employees "tell them I'm out". Ive phoned all day & each time the same thing. Much better places to go in NOLA than a "wine garden in da hood".

The best little wine garden in this city. Fantastic wines with prices that everyone can afford, by the glass or carafe for an even better deal. They have an ever changing cocktail menu and fast service as well. Foods are great and they also change the menu up quite often with seasonal cuisine. Cheese and charcuterie boards have meats made in house and are just delicious. Happy hour every mon-fri makes for a great time on the cheap! The outdoor patio with a water fountain has been such a treat, must visit! Oh and they are DOG FRIENDLY! Bring your pooch as the bar staff spoil them too!

Nice place to meet up with friends. $5 glasses of house wine. Inexpensive pints ($2.50?) Small plates and large plates for sharing. Great garlic fries. Decent tuna crostini. Delicious salmon patties and artichoke, spinach mac & cheese. Don't order the BBQ shrimp tacos. They were pretty inedible. (Greasy fried shrimp with BBQ sauce - Not NOLA style bbq shrimp). The bars can be confusing. You can't get beer at the outside bar. You can't get wine inside the beer garden side. There are two different menus. You go to the bar for your drinks and place your food order there too. Wait staff brings your food and picks up plates. This works great for groups as everyone can pay for their own items. The bartenders and wait staff are friendly and do a great job. I liked the ambience in the wine garden and at the small wine bar. The beer garden looks like a regular bar. I recommend stopping in for food and drinks.

This place has it all! Several bars, 2 different kitchens, boiled crawfish in season, sometimes catered bbq, 2 bars outside on patio- just an all around good place. The crowd skews younger the later it gets.

absolute worse wine bar I've been too, environment is terrible, food and wine are completely overpriced for what you're getting. We ordered an expensive cheese plate and they literally served it with random crackers and a slab of jelly. ridiculous prices and staff were completely rude

Everything about this place was 100% on point. We walked in as the kitchen crew was closing up, but they insisted that we let them serve us. Food came out very quickly and everything was perfect. The bartender was super friendly and gave us a free glass of wine for the road! Definitely coming back anytime I'm in town and will recommend this place to anyone I know vacationing in NOLA.
