Kahn's has myriad selections for all the categories of beer, wine, and liquor as well as accessories. The atmosphere was overall friendly and the employees seem to really know their subject. We spoke with Paul and he was the most knowledgeable and friendly person on the subject of wine. He gave us the full breakdown of the wine futures market and provided exceptional recommendations for wines to drink soon as well as wines to hold onto that will improve with age. Kahn's would have been a 4 for me, but Paul made the difference and pushed it to a 5.

The employees know very much about the products they sale whether it's the beer or wine. They are always well stocked in everything. The customer service is always very spot on. I wished they were open later. When we are close and it is after hours for them, we are forced to go to other liquor stores when they are closed. They close earlier than other liquor stores. Otherwise, they are one of the best in the city.

Picked up a bottle of Glenfiddich Fire & Cane. This is the only liquor store in town that carries it. I went to 7 other liquor stores before stopping here. I wish I had stopped here first. I was in and out prettt quickly because I knew exactly what I wanted so I didn't pay much attention to their other prices but 43 dollars for a bottle of Fire & Cane that goes for 50 to 60 dollars anywhere else if you can find it is a steal. I will definitely be back in the future. Great selection and great price on Glenfiddich Fire & Cane!

I went there to buy a case of German beer, great selection btw, and 2 bottles of some other beer. As soon as I got home I thought about the price I paid and realized something must have went wrong. I overpaid $20 somehow. I paid cash and didn't take a receipt so I knew my chances to get my money back would be slim. I took a chance and called them up and Will, the manager, answered the phone. I explained him my situation and he looked up the transaction and found the mistake. The 2 extra bottles rung up as a 4-pack which explains the extra $20. He was very friendly and refunded the money right away on my credit card so I did not have to drive back to the store. Very pleased with this customer service experience and will definitely go back and buy more delicious German beer. Keep up the good work! -Karl

I have been a Kahn's customer for over twenty years and have had excellent experiences: with their selection (especially wine & beer); with their advice on everyday or extremely special purchases; with their tastings (wine, beer, scotch, bourbon!); with their prices (very reasonable); and with their customer service. Recent case in point: I made a fairly substantial purchase of several wines and when I got home I realized one of the wines was incorrectly invoiced and I was overcharged. I called, and they were able to refund my credit card over the phone after they looked up the mistake. Thank you once again! If you have not tried Kahn's for your beer or wine or spirit purchasing before, I can highly recommend that you go in and ask for some help in finding what you need. I am confident the staff at Kahn's will take good care of you!

This place is absolutely fantastic! Amazing selection of whiskey and bourbon as well as wine and other spirits. Incredibly helpful staff. I stopped to get a bottle of bourbon as a gift for a friend and, not being a bourbon drinker myself, was quite lost as to what to get. One of the sales staff noticed my confusion and asked if he could help. I told him why I was there and my price range and he said he had just the thing. Five minutes later I was out the door with a great bottle of bourbon. I will definitely make this my regular liquor store.

If there is a wine, beer or spirit you're seeking, Kahn's probably has it or they'll get it for you. A great family owned business, with excellent customer service and events. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and always pleasant. The events are awesome and provide an opportunity to taste before you buy. My favorite events are the sparkling taste and sales, Diamonds in the rough and patio pounders. There's always something for every palate. The Friday evening beer tastings and Saturday 12-3 tastings are great chances to go learn and expand your palette.

somewhat decent selection .. ! but Beware ! call ahead of time to Confirm what their website advertised they hav in stock, they posted False information .. the wine was not the Vintage at all that it showed online .. (good thing I called right) but what they did hav was another acceptable year, so I drove to get a case .. then after schlepping allll the way from Avon/Plainfield I saw a clos l'Eglise and the fill level looked alright but it was a 2006 and for that price I wanted to make sure about the provenance but they would not stand behind their product .. so I left it there but this is an (hugely unprofessional) and a biig red flag for the industry .. I HAV NEVER HAD THAT BEFORE IN SHOPPING MANY WINE RETAILERS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY .. I mean No One says you are 'stuck' with a bad bottle if you buy it from them and they are the ones who sold it to you, and they are in the business of selling wines .. ?! In fact if I had purchased it and it was corked Id get my money back no matter what, because you cant do that .. ! but some need to learn the Law so just Beware about the 'no guarantee of provenance' thing .. they might want to try that with you, too, however the Truth is, they cant do that .. ! Legally, you hav Rights and absolute re-course with your cr card co np .. but I didnt buy the 2006 vintage clos l'Eglise Bordeaux (pomerol) bottle .. because I didnt want a hard time, just went on my way .. 3 stars for having the wine, but the provenance discussion was wayyy out of line for the kid to say, and also a star deducted for not having the Vintage as listed on the website . again, decent selection, but my first visit and impression is 3 stars tops for this place ..

Excellent selection, really the best around. No complaints there. The prices though.... Just a smidge high. A buck or two beer multi-pack of beer etc. Not enough to stop me from going there regularly, but enough that when Meijer across the street has the same product for $2 cheaper, I just go there instead. Need something super special though? These fine folks can almost certainly find it for you.

I swung by for diet tonic water and limes, and they were out of both. That said, the service was really good, and the store associate was quick to offer assistance. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and he offered a lot of suggestions. They also had my favorite beer, which is seasonal, from Colorado, and not often stocked out here. I ended up with my favorite beer, but I still had to run to another store for the tonic and lime.

Very disappointed with a current experience, a surprising lack of customer service and flexibility. We have been regular customers for years, and always appreciated their knowledge and helpfulness. We recently purchased a substantial amount for our wedding -- one of the $50 bottles of Champagne was unable to be opened by 4 different people. 3 days later, the bottle exploded and uncorked itself. We visited the store asking if we could get a replacement bottle, or a discount on another. The woman we spoke with was very short, and made a decision to do nothing. I would have appreciated SOMETHING to compensate... instead we had a wasted mess of champagne.

I walked in the place was packed people everywhere standing around. I was just buying a 12 pack of beer was not about to wait in that kind of line. I was on my way of walking out and going someplace else. When one of the employees asked if they could help me or what did I needed. Christine said she could help me that most of the people in the store were there for some kind of special yearly release of something. She actually told me what it was but I forget. This place is nice. The people working there are friendly and helpful. They have a huge selection. They also do a lot of free tastings. The one I went to had like 36 dark beers to try and they would let you try them all you want. It let my wife fond some new beers she loved. Considering some of the dark beers are as much as $12 a bottle it is very nice to know if you like it before you buy it. Or to know if you like a cheaper one instead.
