Good times and good food/beer/ wine. Mix Putin's revenge with some vanilla cream ale for an awesome black and tan!

We have been there many times. Great food and atmosphere so close to home.

Kevin Hopper

Over priced, bad service, small portions, mediocre beer. Wife ordered a glass of wine, waiter came back and said they were out, she ordered another type and they charged for both glasses. Brought wrong beer ordered. I ordered mussels with additional pasta, came with egg noodles which I don't consider pasta. Other couple ordered wraps and chips, $11 and $14, wrap and were pitifully small, sidewinder potato looked like it was one small potato. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I visited for the first time tonight. Fairly small place. Extremely small tasting area for being a winery and brewery. We each tried 4 different wines between us they were all fantastic. We were very disappointed with the food, sub par at best. I would say we would go there to taste only but you’d probably have to be there by 3 to get a spot at the counter. Our server Nikki was very sweet and attentive.

Sylestia Weddle

Good service, good food, and amazing wines and beer.

Mark B

First visit. AMAZING!! top notch scratch kitchen, velvety smooth wines, silky smooth beers. One of the best.

Katrina Housholder

Alissa Calomino

Excellent beer. We heard the wine was excellent too. Food was solid. They were slammed right before we got there so service was on the slow side but all the staff was great!

Debbie Hendon

Horrible wine tasting experience. I've never heard of a winery only giving you 7 options to try when they have so many more options. The 7 we tried weren't even good. And when I tried to cancel my membership they said I have to go in. I can't make the trip in right now and they refused to do it over the phone. Poor customer service in my opinion. I would not recommend this winery when there are others that are so much better and want happy customers.

Bella Westberg

I love this place so much! Everytime I got here it such a wonderful experience!! Totally recommend going here!

Chris Torres

Nice little spot for wine drinkers but also have some selections of beer they brew themselves and are pretty good. They have amazing grilled cheese sandwiches! And is the only thing I get, everything else I'll pass, they even have a club membership that you have to pay for where you can get points for the money you spend, discounts and take home wine or beer. I would prefer lunch at this place

Alexis Williams

I tried to go in here with an optimistic attitude. I wanted to like this place. Unfortunately everything from the food to the beer fell flat for me. There just was nothing that wowed me here or even would make me want to come back. The food was mediocre and the beer just was not doing it for me. Hopefully others have better luck here.

Jeff Lanska

Great food and a great beer menu! I had two different beers of theirs and will absolutely go back for more.

Ryan McCann

Great selection of wine and beer. Always hard to make food decisions because everything on the menu is so good!

Angela Atamian

We love Village Vitner. Great quality food and even better that they have the wine and beer of their own for tastings! We are in their wine club and its become our default diner when we don't want to try somewhere new. We tried Mother's Day brunch there and wished we could have ordered their wines with our meal. It was pretty limited but the food was god!

Jason McMahon

The owner made a commitment he wouldn't keep. Instead of apologizing, he went in the back to "see what he could do" and then wouldn't come back. He left his staff to deal with an unhappy customer. Needless to say I won't be going back and cancelled my growler membership. No need to frequent a business that treats it's employees and customers that way. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Andrea Griffin

Do NOT do a wine tasting here! Service and wine are terrible!

Mike Freling

This is a tough one to rate, my real inclination was more a 3.5 than a 4. They have a really awesome selection of wine, I wasn’t too impressed with one I tried but my wife got a flight of fruity wines and I liked all of them even though that’s not typically my thing. Service was alright, they were busy so I can understand that the waitress had a full load, she was very nice and got everything we asked for quickly just didn’t stop by as often as I would have liked. Appetizer was good, but the meal really left something to be desired both my wife and I just felt like the food was very bland. Will return for wine and appetizers but not dinner.

Rick Orabutt

As always... great food and terrific service :)

Rachel Reynolds

We love it here. Reasonably priced for the delicious food, usually great service. Ask for Alex, he's awesome.

Jordan Wind

My family are regulars at this place because their brews and wine selection that they make are spectacular. The service is always above and beyond friendly and accommodating. I haven't had anything on their menu that I didn't like. Wait times are usually not too bad either. If you have to wait, head over to their tasting room to start your experience with them on a tasty note.

Becky Dietz

Horrible service.... made part of my party stand because more people showed up

Julie Novalinski

We love this restaurant and it's original menu, wine and beer! The staff is wonderful and is always a fun place to go.

Tward Landscape

Really good food

Mary Robin

I came with my daughter in law. Twice. Staff is wonderful. Wines amazing. Wish I was closer.

Fred Lechuga

If you live in the area, it is definitely worth the visit. However, it is a bit pricey. Wood fire pizza is good if you like it with the wood fire taste (crust a tad black). If they are serving the Javanilla beer and you are into stouts/porters... You better visit this place. That beer is so flavorful and simoly outstanding. Mac and cheese... Good but pricey. Even the price of the pizza can get out of hand, add toppings and all of a sudden the pizza you ordered is well over $15. I really wish they had flavorful vegan or vegetarian options. The chefs appear to make a variety of small plates throughout the week, I just wish they had a staple awesome vegetarian burger. Maybe one day. Beer is a 5, especially the Javanilla when being served... Food is a high 4.

Sandy Martin

Superb service and excellent food.My kids really enjoyed the food and the company of the hospitable staffs

Nico Scholly

Great service and great food! The bourbon beer was a treat. And the teriyaki salmon was delicious

Brian Harvat

Wait staff is very personable. Food is delicious and can be made to order. We have been here multiple times and the staff is always willing to accommodate food allergies as able. Child friendly, but as adults we know there is such a thing as date time. Atmosphere is casual and lively. Food has always been flavorful. Wine and beer alike, are homemade and hold up to any local winery or craft beer establishment. Highly recommended to any person who is a lover of the local flair.

Tom Brauer

It took a little longer than I’d like to be acknowledged by the server, but not too bad. She told us about the beer flights available, or we could just get a taste before deciding. We asked for two glasses of water while we perused the menu, and that was the last time we heard from her until 1/2 hour later when we got up and left at which point she apologized.

We've been wine club members with another establishment for several years, we decided to try a new place. The restuarant itself had a nice seating area, bar and outdoor seating area. We decided to join the wine club as we liked what we saw when we walked in. The lady behind the tasting area was friendly and explained the wine club. We did our tasting, but were not overly impressed with the wines they offered in the tasting. The first was a Rose' which simply didn't have much flavor. We were kind of disappointed in the fact they had so many wines available but only able to sample the 7 offered. After we were done with our tasting we were promptly seated. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We ordered appetizers. The Brussel sprouts were delicious, the pretzel bites had so much garlic they were hard to eat. We then ordered onion soup, it was ok, not great. I ordered the mile high corned beef and the rest of the table ordered brisket sandwiches. The corned beef sandwich came out perfect looking, a huge mound of corned beef, it was juicy and tender, came with a good amount of fries. After a few bites I could hardly eat anymore. The corned beef was so incredibly salty it was inedible. The brisket sandwiches while they said were ok but not great were over dressed with bbq sauce and cheeses sauce you couldn't taste what little meat was on the bun. Each sandwich only contained a tiny amount of meat the rest was sauce and onion straws. I let the waitress know my corned beef sandwich was inedible. It was taken off the bill and a bit later the chef came and apologized and stated the corned beef came to them already brined. After leaving we discussed how disappointed we were in our whole experience we decided we didn't really enjoy anything about the experience with the tasting or the food. It wasn't a place we would be willing to come back to and decided to just cancel our membership. My husband went back, the owner gave him a hard time canceling our membership. He didn't believe our food was as bad as we stated and was offended we didn't enjoy the wine tasting. He was insistent we give it a 3 month try before we could cancel. There was no apology for our experience and he tried to discount everything my husband said was wrong with our experience. Completely underwhelmed with the whole experience!

Kristina Roper

The wine was quite good and so was the beer the meal was wonderful, a varied menu. We were with 12 people and not one complaint!

Michelle Weber

Warren Reese

Service was great as well as the food

Chris Hartzog

Went to dinner last night and ordered a bottle of white wine and a margarita pizza to start off the night. As the wine was poured for us, we were saddened to taste a flat and almost room-temp wine. The server and pizza were good but I have always held a theory that if a business that makes their wines in-house and they are less than exceptional, the food will follow suit. Would be back again but would probably never order wine from there again.

roxanne bezkorovaina

Great wine selection

Bill Wagner

Great food and service.

Heidi Maschmann

Delicious food and tasty cocktails, beer, and wine. Great service!!!

Donna Borthwick

Cozy place, good service, good beer and very tasty pizza.

Colleen Waters

Fantastic. First visit based on the recommendation of the bfs daughter. Annnd we became a member of the wine club the first visit Great staff. FABULOUS grape wines and other fruit wines too. Highly recommend.

Maizie O'Connor

Wine was great, but that was about all. Service stared out fine, but after taking order never came back to check on us. Food was horrible. The pot pie was very dry and no flavor. When the waiter asked how everything was, we told him him about the 2 pot pies. He said he would talk to the manager, which he must have , because we did not have to pay for them, but the manager should have come over also. We will not be back.

Kyla Duewel

Love Village! The membership is great with free monthly tastings. The food is amazing and all of the staff is so friendly especially TRISH at the wine bar! My husband even loves going for the beer!

Brent Potter

Best place around for wine and craft beer. Holiday themed menu rotations make this place even better.

Sig Bushman

This past Saturday was our first visit to the restaurant. After waiting awhile for our waitress we placed our drink order and salad/meal order together. We received our main entree approximately 3 minutes later, before the wine/beer and salad. It made us wonder how something like this could transpire. We sent the food back, received our drink and salad. Then a second attempt was made to bring our meal out. At that point we asked for a manager, another waitress said she would make sure our meal was remade. It was not the relaxing evening we had anticipated as we were in and out of there with in 45 minutes. I'm think they have some kinks to work out in your wait/kitchen staff. It will be a long time before we will go back here.

Deb Crofoot

Slow food service but friendly and decent food. Our server was the bar tender which stretched her time.

justgo1096

The owner is so very nice and the employees are always nice. Service is always fantastic! The food is great, especially the pizza! I'm a wine of the month club member and I really enjoy taking my daughter and girlfriends for wine tastings. I love this place!

David Schoemaker

Great food and good beer

Karen Aylward

Cute place with mediocre ambiance. We started with one server when we arrived at 9:00 for a glass of wine and an appetizer. Then another server came by because the other one was leaving. Overall not impressed with the wine. I tried 3 different reds and settled for a blend that tasted weak for a blend. I had 2 glasses of wine over 3 hours and obviously there is a high alcohol content, so be careful! We sat on the patio at the end of the night and enjoyed the patio until the kitchen staff decided to have their drinks and use loud colorful language. A manager type came out and said something to the kitchen manager and stomped off expressing his obvious distaste with what was going on in the kitchen. All of this in front of 2 paying customers. Turns out he was the owner. Not impressed and will not return.

Barbara Taylor

The food is good. The staff is attentive. The wine was great.

Natalie Horsman

The word 'love' is not expressive enough on my feelings about this place. From its cozy atmosphere to good food to friendly staff, Village Vintner has become my favorite place to be. It's like my 'Central Perk' from the show Friends. Their wine is out of this world as well. If you're looking for a good place to hang out, come here!

Michael Mayes

This place was jumping on a Saturday night. It was packed, they told us the wait would be 20-30 minutes but we only waited 10 minutes with a party of six. We ordered the pretzel bites and the fresh mozzarella. Highly recommend the mozzarella, they make it fresh there. We got two flights of wine. Our favorite was the Pomegranate and Berry, the flavored wine and beer is made there. The red wines are served cold. Very good, very sweet. Three of us got the half rack with the sweet sauce, very tasty. Virginia was our server and she was so nice, like a cool mom with a great laugh.

sam harraz

I love the pizza here... But if your hours on the door read open till 10.. Be open till ten! When I walk up to the door at 8:30 and it's locked expect a bad review..

whoever whatever

Great food and atmosphere. Love this place! The red wine blends are the best around.

Susan Biederer

I have been there numerous times. The Dill Salmon is very good. Recently I tried the Vintner wrap. That was also very good & reasonably priced. Had a bite of my boyfriends pizza. Loved it. It's different in a good way. The crust was slightly sweet. Not a lot of sauce but very very good. If I don't get the Dill Salmon next time, I will get the pizza. Oh we have also had the Wine. Not disappointed at all I loved it!

1st time dining at this establishment. Had reservations. Place was empty when we walked in and ordered food. Atmosphere was great! Felt like no air conditioning though. Took forever to get our food. We received our dessert without any plates to eat it on. Almost every selection of wine to taste they were "out" of. My mother in law wanted to try their dessert wine, waitress gives us the check as if she was hinting we needed to leave. Not too happy. Not impressed.

Nicole Tlapek

Shannon Ahrstrom

Worst experience ever. We had a reservation for 10 but 13 showed up and they could not accommodate the other 3 people and they literally had to stand in the middle of the restaurant. The service sucked , it took 15 min to get a drink. It took 45 min for the manager to come over and talk to me after I asked to speak with him. Absolutely will NEVER RETURN. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

Jonathan Reda

Beer and wine tasting and they serve food this place ranks pretty high for me

Rahul Pandya

When you label yourself as winery and brewery, I personally believe that it should be about the wines and beer and the cuisine should support their core product to showcase wines and beers. Unfortunately that is not the case. This place could go places. But they need to get a pulse on where America is headed with this revolution. I personally think that they misinterpreted. :( However their staff and service, top notch!

Ralph Kazimierczuk

Great little gem in NW burbs.

Ariel C

Great selection of wine and beer. Prices are a BIT high. I think 1 vegan option which was hummus. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and we were the only ones there.

Michael Rollins

Had their hoprocket ipa and it was great! Friend had wine and it wasn't that great, food nothing special

Eric Moore

Great stop on a Friday afternoon. Nicole knows her beers and her customers!

Laura Fruhauff

I'm am actual member and I'm canceling! I've been there every month and while the food is usually decent the service is TERRIBLE. First time I thought it was a fluke. Second time, I blamed it on being a busy night. Third time, same server, Saturday at 1130am with 2 other tables. No. Just no.

Christopher Klaus

I had the meat lovers pizza and my wife had the white pizza. Both were great! Even better their patio allows dogs.

Don Nelson

Good wine. Very good food.

Soonja Newtson

Very disappointing, expensive for such tiny pizzas. While the crust had a nice chew, overall quite flavorless. Hardly any cheese, couldn’t taste any garlic and the sauce well I couldn’t tell that there was any as it was quite dry. The beers were ok. The only thing we enjoyed was the giant pretzel with an awesome cheese sauce. Won’t be going back...

Natalia Klusacek

Service could be better but food and drinks were great

Laura Gisleson

Great wine... Great patio... Perfect evening.

Dennis Hennessy

Great environment...the food is good and the wines and beers are great! Join the monthly club and get free tastings, free bottle of wine and/or growler and more!!! Definitely worth it!!!

Emily Gruber

Great food, great service, you have to try the raspberry cider, so good!!

Scott Hallman

Nice place... could be really good but the owner is horrible, and very unfriendly.... should not in in people business, Booked 30th bday party and was told to come by 5:30 for wine tasting... When we arrived he said we were too late... after pleading our case he "allowed" it. Person booking reservations said they would be something nice for dessert the 30th bday boy. When we asked about it the owner basically told us we were liars, saying "nobody would ever tell us that".. Amazing after spending over $500. Will never go back! BTW, people next to us said they too would never go back either.

A L

Have been going here for years love their pizzas I have create my own mushroom and brisket which is amazing. I also often get the chicken and chips which comes with great fries! This is a microbrewery and winery I love their beers the vanilla cream ale is a great lighter beer and the hop rocket ipa tastes great too highly recommend this place

Neal Miller

Very nice...will go back.

Mike Brehm

Great craft beer. Service and food.

Chad D

Very attentive and great service. Chef came out and confirmed allergies and preferences.

Robert Kosin

Amazing wine list along Randall Road with open hearth wood fire oven that gives comfort to body and soul. Also the flames within the oven provides a contemplative distraction from the outside world. Then there is a menu that compliments a very expansive wine list. But again as the Bard said, What's in a name.

Went on a Sunday night around dinner time on a whim because I've been meaning to check It out. Casual attire. It's upscale but totally laid back. Restaurant ambiance is decent. Bar type atmosphere. Several TVs to watch large bar area and table tops. Outdoor patio. A little weird that it's a part of a Doctor's office building which kinda takes away from it but decent enough. They do have a large wood grill on site which is cool to see. Seated quickly and server checked on us right away and got drink orders in. Wife and I each ordered craft beers. She a nice cocoa Stout and myself a Juicy IPA. LOVED the stout. Juicy IPA was decent. Good, but not amazing. Flavor could have been a little bolder. Great prices on all the beers and they have many on tap. All locally made in-house. Growlers available as well. Really enjoyed the Fang Banger Blood Orange IPA. Tastes and smells AMAZING. Wife and I both ordered German fare that they have for Oktoberfest. She ordered a Wurst plate and I ordered the Wienerschnitzel. They were both VERY tasty. There was a couple of the sausages that my wife had that were some of THE BEST sausages I've ever had... Schnitzel breading was PERFECT and golden brown. very tasty and crispy but meat was still tender and juicy. Joined the growler club as well since 14$ base price was too good to pass up. My only complaint was the bar was a little slow pumping out drinks even though there was only a few people in there other than us. Kinda was weird because we were sitting right close to the bar and could see our server standing around waiting for our beers to be poured by the Bartender. Server was nice about it and kept apologizing even though we could tell it wasn't his fault. I will be back again to try different beers as well as the wines they make on site as well. Great variety of food available on the menu as well. Prices are all reasonable for what you are getting. A very solid local restaurant.

$$ Up until this point it was more stars but after exercising my monthly beer tasting yesterday, I'm giving it one star due to its tasting process change. In prior tastings, I as a paid subscriber, got to choose FOUR small samples to taste. Given the beer menu doesn't change all that extensively and isn't that large, this made it easier to choose new selections and avoid old selections that weren't good. However, now I'm allowed to choose only ONE and they choose the other three! Apparently this is their way of getting rid of beer no one likes. This is not the right way to run this tasting feature. ADDENDUM Apparently the general manager, who responded to my review, isn't adept at customer satisfaction and should review the facts before being snooty to a PAYING CUSTOMER! 1) If you don't want patrons inferring that your tasting policy isn't a "way" to get rid of unwanted product, then maybe you shouldn't have your staff IMPLY that's what they think it is. I was just restating what they said to me. 2) This is NOT the way you do it with the wine tasting. With the wine tasting, you offer 6 wines under one sample and 6 wines under another sample. And with your wines, there is a greater overall selection so the odds of finding unique are greater when able to CHOOSE which 6 we want, versus a single group of 4. 3) Regarding OTHER companies, I don't care what other companies do. I'm spending $35 or so a month at YOUR company and only care about what I signed up for. So maybe the owner prefers I spend this minimum of $420 a year elsewhere? I'm thinking not. 4) Maybe some people taste the SAME 4 beers every month for a reason. First off, your overall selection doesn't change that much and most people, like myself, have figured out which ones we no longer wish to taste because we just don't like them. So then it comes down to a small selection to choose from and it might be just 4 worthwhile. Plus, if we are filling our growler, there's a good chance we want to fill it with something we like, thus just getting a recap of the 4 beers so we know which one we will go with that month. You probably never did any market research on why people tasted the same 4 beers every month. 5) Regarding my star rating, you never GAVE me 20oz of beer. I'm giving you $420 a year plus at least one dinner for 2 per month. I'd like to get the owner's opinion on how this "tolerance" of your paying patrons fits into the business model. 6) Lastly, if this change was being made, how about a courtesy email a month or two in advance explaining the change? Your company should take a good hard look at your business and marketing manager because it clearly appears being out ahead and communicating to customers is not their strong suit.

Erik Pollnow

My family and I have been here several times this year. Huge fans of their great selection of fruity/sweet wines, as well as their White/red wines. We can walk away with 30-70 bottles sometimes. Recently went there wth a group of 13 on a busy saturday night, usually we go wine taste until they can get a table together, but this time they had a table made pretty quick. Great service almost everytime we go here, and if it isnt great they make it up in some way. Like their selection of wines, the food is also in variety. They have great pizzas, flatbreads, appetizers, etc.... everything has been good! Overall great atmosphere, nice staff, quiet outdoor seating (warmer months), not badly priced, and well the club membership perks make it even better. Definitely need to try this place out if you are wanting a new meeting spot.

Mike & Stephanie Steinmetz

Fish tacos we're excellent. Nice place.

Got invited by a friend of mine for dinner. it is a Fun place and I like the variety of wine. food was also great and it took a while for the pizza but it worth the wait.

Kristina Sromek

Took a group for wine tasting. Loved that we had a choice of sweet or regular which they call dry! Super friendly. Food was a great value. Cheddar Ale soup was so filling and delicious! Did have to wait a bit for pizzas which were slightly crispy and burnt. But overall great experience!

blake swanson

Food was good but we had a 8 top and 2 of the meals came out 30 mins after everything else. Server knew that it was wrong and was scared to come back to the table.

Pete Mensching

Blas Segura

Love the place

Jim K

Good food, great beer

Kathryn Holthusen

Karl

Disappointing. Pizza crust soggy. Brussels sprouts drowning in excess, salty sauce, flat bread burnt. 3 out of 5 of our group were not happy.

cris carmon

Waitress Kim and the hostess we're both very professional and friendly. I would love to say that the food was good but I never tasted it. We ordered drinks and when they arrived we ordered our food. Then the two of us waited for 50 minutes, watched as a table of 8 got their food before us (I hope that them being members had nothing to do with it) and that was the final straw. We left, hungry, angry, and disappointed. I can't imagine a scenario where we would come back, or recommend others to go.

Michael Ryan

Good food selection, excellent taste. Beer and wine is tasty. Not cheap, but not expensive for those that may be looking for something different.

Sophie Norton

Awesome, absolutely awesome. Worked with me with my food allergies..so I could get some great food. Thank you!

Becky Smith

Mike Sieczko

Kevin Pfaller

Awesome service awesome wine

Eddie Afanador

Been here a couple times the wine isn't as good as coopers hawk.

Jimmy Sparks G

Food is average, drink options are decent, service was ok. Nothing particularly noteworthy. Not a great value. I've been here about six times and I'm struggling to find a good reason to come back.

Margie Dill-Lentz

Always seem to out of the specials. Disappointing.

Mike Poll

Cindy Matusek

Every time we are here we are greated as if we are family. The staff and owners, Bob and Steve, are very welcoming and the chef, on occasion, comes out to talk to the patrons. Oh and by the way, they also have great wine and beer that theymake off site. Our favorite wine is cabernet Franc and my husband and I disagree on the beer. I prefer bourbon barrel ale and he prefers the red headed ale. Tonight we added on a desert and had Dutch apple pizza. Omg is not defining it correctly but I'm doing my best. That's why this place gets 5 stars.

Nathan Sopena

The wine was very delicious and tasty but the food on the other hand was not. The food lacked flavor, very bland and definitely not worth the price. Service was good though.

Norman Kappes

Food was great. Wine and craft beers are very good. Excellent wait staff

Amelia Watkins

One of my favorite places! Great beer and wine made by Village Vintner, great food, wonderful staff. Do a wine tasting at the back bar to check out their monthly features -- they have an extensive selection of their own reds, whites, fruit wines and dessert wines. They also have a good variety of their own beers on tap, with a balance of standards and seasonals. Food ranges from upscale bar food to nice restaurant dishes -- the woodfired pizzas are a particular favorite. And we only went a few times before we felt like regulars. The staff seems to truly enjoy their jobs -- they're knowledgeable and welcoming. Plus, there are wine and beer clubs that offer special pricing and reward points.

Radka Lakosilova

Great atmosphere, delicious food and very tasty wine and beer.

Ryan Wendt

The food was alright, but like the other reviewer before me was not worth the price.

Michael Tuohy

Inventive food. Top notch, tasty wine and beer. Service is friendly, sometimes too friendly as it can slow them down. Just come out here and have fun!

Kate Darling

Derreck

Great selection of wines and beers. I had a beer sampler and my wife the wine sampler. We particularly liked a peach wine, not too sweet and we'll be back just for that. I enjoyed the brisket and the brick oven pizza was to die for. Nice atmosphere for a date or casual outing with friends. The carrot cake is delicious as well, just make sure to ask for a to-go platter as the portion is huge. Great the next morning with your coffee!

William Cummings

Very slow service. The food was ok. Ordered the pizza but it was bland. The wine was also just so-so.

Dusting Covarrubias

Food was amazing. Chef Kyle made sure everything was perfect. They say April showers bring may flowers but the beers that April served us were better than May flowers.

Eduard Onecic

Food was mediocre and it took a while to get the kid’s order out. To the point where they were getting impatient. Same when we ordered deserts...the kids were ready to leave by the time we were served. Had to ask for missing cutlery and were only given a fork. The two beers I had were good (have not tried the wine). The ambience was nice and not too loud.

Peg Thomas

We've been wine club members for several years which we enjoy. I would not recommend dining at the restaurant. The quality of the menu items has steadily declined, the service is poor (except for Brittany) and the owners seldom say hello to anyone other than a few of their friends. Never once in all the years that my husband and I have dined at the Village Vintner have either of the owners stopped by to say hi. Recently, my husband and I went there for dinner. When we arrived we were told that a table for two would be a 30 minute wait. Not bad for a Friday night except that there were at least two long empty tables. I thought those could have been offered as European style seating, but nope. When we were seated, both tables had groups of two and three seated at these tables! Our server was not stellar by any means. when I commented that I used to enjoy an item no longer on the menu she rudely replied, " I've been here since July and I've never seen that on the menu." Ok no small talk with her! Dinner was ok. My husband ordered a burger on a pretzel bun. He ended up eating it as an open face because the top bun was so hard it was inedible. The waitress never asked how our food was after we were served. The busboy came by twice to remove my husband's plate before the waitress returned to our table. He showed her how hard the bun was and her answer to my husband was, " why didn't you tell me, I thought you wanted to eat your hamburger that way." She never apologized for the poor quality, rather gave excuses that the bread was fresh just probably sat in the oven a bit too long. Needless to say our dining experience was poor. I enjoy a glass of wine on the patio and that will probably be the next time I return. If you're there on a Friday, ask for Brittany. Your dinner may not be great but her service is wonderful!

I love this place. Everything is usually great, but if the 2 owners or manager (forgive me for not remembering her name) aren't there, it falls apart. Hence the 3 stars.

Stacy and April are the most talented accommodating bartenders in the area. I would come back to the vitner just to see them. ❤️❤️❤️

Aside from the superb wines offered by The Village Vintner, this establishment is a hidden gem of a restaurant. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. Well worth 12 mile drive we make to get there! We have been wine club members for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed!

One of our favorite restaurants - too bad it's always crazy busy now. I miss the old days when no one knew it was there!

I've been there several times over the years. This was my last. So many places with better food. Everything we had was mediocre.

This place is brand new, and they are on obviously working out the bugs regarding service and presentation. I get that. But the people involved here are top notch, and they are providing a service here that this area sorely needs. The house brews and wines are very good and the food is very original. I'd come here over any of those restaurant in a box chains any day of the week.

Wood fired pizza. Tater tots with cheese curds. Pinot Noir and beer flights. All good!
