Worst public relations in the area. Go to Vahling Vineyards. We loved coming to this bar and talked to the owner. My friend picked up $70+ dollars from the parking lot. She reported that she found something and the owner’s wife came and asked who found money. Owners wife said she reported $50.00 lost, but my friend told her it was more. She took all of her the money and didn’t even thank her. There’s were 8 of us there and the owner’s brother was not apologetic for us being honest and reporting it. He actually told us not to come back. He is right, we won’t coming back until we are told Thank You. Not happening in the near future!! We are not cheats and could have been, but they should have been nice about it at the very least.

They don't serve food, but can order from the steakhouse across the street. Their wine is typical Illinois wine. They don't have draft beer. However, their list of bottled beer is extensive for a small town - I think over 100 choices. All the main categories - Stouts, porters, IPAs, Belgians, Pilsner, etc. from great breweries. I'll be back for sure.

My wife and I go here not for the wine, but for the beer. Niemerg’s has a fantastic and little known beer list, especially strong on stouts and porters. Could be a bit more “pubby” in the interior design. Nice to have outdoor seating available. Our secret go-to place at Lake Shelbyville.

I love this place. If I lived in Findley I'd be a regular, but I would drink local craft beers while my wife drinks the wine (peach sangria, actually)! I'd only give it three stars because I like the wine from a nearby winery more. On the other hand, we are returning tomorrow for a peach slush and sending a bottle or two of Niemerg cherry wine back with out kids from Nappa (CA) area!

Route 45

Second time there in past few years we are camping at Lake Shelbyville). Fun place for our group to gather and enjoy wine. We ordered food at Tailwinds across the street, which they delivered to the winery for us to enjoy at Niemerg's with our wine. The owner is nice and a character too!
