My wife and I make a point to go there every time we are in the area. The best wine in southern Illinois period! We like sweet wines and we absolutely love Black Jack and the Rose Red. Would recommend lincoln heritage to anyone. The winery has a super relaxed and tranquil feel, and Bonnie's great! Cant wait to go there again soon! Cool dogs too. Lol

Great venue and great owner! Quaint and lovely setting within minutes of town. We have never seen as many hummingbirds in one place! Bonnie gave us an informative and generous wine tasting. The wine was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Visited here to start the back half of the wine trail and found the wines to literally be the best we have had... all wines were perfect smooth and simply fantastic. Only bad point was that it made the rest of the wineries we visited seem subpar... but kudos to the owners for making such perfect wines!!!

Stopped by here just before closing on a weekend night and were not disappointed! The owner is extremely friendly and chatted with us while giving us a sampling of her delicious wines. The winery itself is a very quaint building including a cozy patio. There are even some Frank Lloyd Wright touches for the architectural enthusiast! We loved it and will definitely be back!

Lincoln Heritage is in my opinion one of the best wineries around, from the down home atmosphere to the comfortable deck area that so many hummingbirds call home. Their wines are wonderful, their compassionate and inviting demeanor is second to none. Everytime I've been I've totally enjoyed! Highly recommend visiting and sampling their awesome flavors and if you already have go back and enjoy some more. P.S. how could I forget those adorable dogs. Love this place.

Very nice place. Normally we drink dry reds, but the Chocolate Cherry wine is awesome. Owners are great. Love sitting in the great room or on the patio watching the hummingbirds.

Warning.... Not on Southern Illinois wine trail! Must put on your wine trail! Stopped on a recommendation from Steve H. at Kiki’s coffee house in Anna. What a sweet surprise! Great wines, super simple operation. We didn’t meet the owners, but the gal they had there doing tastings was wonderful. I would recommend their Chocalatr Cherry dessert wine & Black Jack. Amazing place with friendly faces. Glad we stopped in! We will be back!! $3 for tasting all their wines, not just 5.

This is truly a hidden gem! This was not on our winery map but after a friend did some research she heard about this place and we decided that we definitely had to check it out. The owner was so friendly and helpful. She was recommending places to eat and things to do in the area. She even made calls for us to confirm if places would be open for us. She went above and beyond. Also, the wine is delicious. Try a wiggle, it is a must! She has a tailored wine tasting experience that makes it worth it. She took the time to ask us questions about our wine preferences and had recommendations. We sat outside which was beautiful. Hummingbirds surrounded us as we enjoyed our wine and wiggles.

Even though this winery is not on the Shawnee wine trail, you should still include this winery to visit! This winery was recommended to us and we decided to give it a try as we were trying to stick with small, quieter wineries. We loved this winery and we were the only ones there, which was great as we were able to chat with the owner, Bonnie and pet Roxy the dog too. Bonnie did a great job catering to mine and my husband's preference in wines and we thought their wine was the best out of the wineries we visited! If you like quiet, relaxing wineries with a great wine selection, you should definitely stop here!

My wife and I have been here to visit Bonnie many times. The wines are amazing, and Bonnie is educational, fun, and a treat as a host. In our opinion, the wines tend to err more on the side of sweet overall. The Riesling and Vintner's Select are two of the more drier options and they're both fantastic. A quick shoutout to my favorite... Blackjack. Be sure to give it a try when you stop by!

Bonnie, one of the ow ers welcomed us as we came through the door. Their wines are all made from local grapes and berries. The patio area is a beautiful setting with hummingbirds. A quiet setting with good wine.
